Second Sight used a napkin to wipe his mouth and passed it to Glass so that she could use it to wipe herself dry.

"Apologies, it's just that, who- what is-" he glanced at Shadow. "Nevermind"

Composing himself, Second sight leaned back, taking another sip of his coffee.

Mist looked up at Glass, "so what's a pretty mare like you doin on a quest like this?" he asked.

Second Sight choked on his coffee, coughing madly into his hoof.

'What.'

Shadow turned back around and threw the gears in reverse as he said,

"Hang on, and hold on to anything that is breakable or spillable."

He slammed on the gas, the truck zooming backward until he saw the turnoff, then he lifted his hoof off the gas and slammed on the break as he turned the wheel. the truck's tire screaming from the friction of a quick stop and the truck looked like it was about to flip over. Then he threw the gears into drive and sped down the road. When he got to the farm, he turned off the car and said as he turned around,

"Is everyone in one piece and nothing is spilled?"

(hope it's fine if I make the drive quick."

Miraculously, Second Sight had kept the lid on his cup thought the ride. In a telekinetic field.

"Yeah, I'm alright." He called out, opening the doors and stepping outside, landing on the soft, powder snow. He scooped some up and tasted it.

'We're not as high up as I thought' he mused.

Mist smiled as he sat back in his seat and thought about his last hunting escapade. The small house was probably gonna be the same as the cabin he'd stayed in. Mist blushed a bit when he thought about the room he had shared with Sparkle. Then Mist frowned when he remembered the after math of that adventure. Mist looked up at Glass, "so what's a pretty mare like you doin on a quest like this?" he asked.

"oh y'know... getting paid... it's the only job I could get without having the interviewer screaming his face off at me."Glass moved closer to Mist and held on to him so she wouldn't shatter. Glass was cold to the touch even after she filled herself with coffee in an attempt to stop Mist from letting go of her

when they arrived Glass slipped her hoof from Mist and stepped out,  the snow melting a little at every hoof step she took. the mountain they were on was... unnerving it felt like a wrong step would cause a pony to fall to their death on the rocks below. Glass moved back at the thought of her falling and glass being spread over miles of open land. She shook her head attempting to stop herself thinking about it.

Mist got out after Glass and took a big breath in. He smiled as he remembered how good it felt to be in the snow again. Mist looked over at Glass and blushed. He thought about the trip here and how much he like being near her despite how being so cold. Mist frowned why was he doing this to himself. He wasn't ready for a relationship. Not after what Sparkle had done. He looked back at Class and saw that she was uneasy. He walked over to her, "it's okay," he said comfertingly, "if you fall I'll catch you."

"th...thank you Mist." Glass whispered her head filling with red wine like she was blushing. she attempted to cover her face because of her immense embarrassment but failed as her hooves could still be seen through. "that's the worst thing about me every part is transparent. including my eye lids... my eye's aren't although... you can probably see that already..."

"I can see that," Mist said looking into Glass's eyes, "and I can see how beautiful they{her eyes} are." Mist blushed. Mist had felt like this in ages. Not since Sparkle. Mist suddenly frowned, remembering the breakup. "I'm sorry I shouldn't be flirting," Mist said heading to the house, "we should probably just get to our accommodation."

Mist suddenly frowned, remembering the breakup. "I'm sorry I shouldn't be flirting," Mist said heading to the house, "we should probably just get to our accommodation."

"oh they aren't that good... they're only my eyes" Glass said quietly following behind Mist.

when they got to the house Glass slowly pushed the door open to see... nothing the house was practically empty... all that lay inside the hallway was a note. "Dear Monster Hunters. in this house you will find the basic necessities of what an average pony requires everything else has been used to block off the rear gate the reason of which you must find out it wouldn't be any fun otherwise now would it? either way there are enough supplies to keep you going for several weeks. oh and a small reminder... don't go in the basement it's not safe down there." Glass read "well that was... unnerving..." She said putting the note back down.

Mist chuckled after Glass finished reading the note, "yeah you dont wanna mess with basements," said Mist happily, "I know from personal experience." Mist walked to the stairs {i assumed there was a second floor} and looked around as he did. It really wasnt that different from the cabin. "So you wanna check out our rooms?" Mist asked Glass

"uhh... okay..." Glass said following him. to her dismay all the rooms had been pre selected with notes on the door. it only got worse when she discovered she was sharing a room with Mist.in an effort to delay the inevitable she checked the other's rooms to find they were all fitted with double beds to 'save money'

Mist was happy to see how nice his room was but he frowned when he saw the note saying he would share a room. It's like the universe wouldn't let him stay out of a relationship. To Mist's further dismay the rooms had only one bed. Mist turned to Glass, "you know if this," Mist said gesturing to the room, "I can sleep down stairs."

"no... it's okay..." Glass said looking around the room it wasn't that bad it could do with a clean but otherwise it should be... usable despite the fact that Glass was sharing the room with Mist and there was enough room on the bed for the two of them to have some distance between them well... as much distance as you can get on a double bed.

Mist gave a shrug even though deep down he was really glad Glass hadn't asked him to sleep. "Okay then," he said to Glass, "but if it gets too uncomfortable just let me know and I'll be happy to sleep on the floor. After all that's where I slept last time I was hunting monsters in a frozen tundra."

"That doesn't sound to comfortable." Glass said looking at the floor which was littered with small objects that could really hurt a regular pony. for some reason Glass felt sympathy for Mist maybe it was because she had to sleep for several years on a cold, hard stone floor. or maybe it was something else something she couldn't quite put her hoof on...

Mist began unpacking the few items he had brought. His wing blades, batpony armor and his family sword. As he was unpacking he realised this was pretty much exactly what he brought last time. He turned to glass, "so is this your first monster hunting escapade? If not I'd love to hear some stories of your past adventures," he said to her.

"oh no... I've been hunting for years. just because I'm glass doesn't mean I don't have a place to live." Glass said "oh here's a good one. me and the rest of my team were on the tail of this massive dragon eating bird that swooped down in the middle of the night. after a week of searching you'll never guess where it was... it was simply lying dead in a cave. turns out it's last meal was still alive and cooked it from the inside. disgusting but it was still funny to see this massive monster of a bird brought down by a baby dragon."

Mist laughed at Glass's story, "that's a pretty good story," Mist said with a chuckle, "I'm afraid I don't have any stories as good as that." Mist smiled to himself. Glass was just amazing.. Suddenly a thought entered his head. He turned to Glass, "if you don't mind me asking. If you've been hunting for years how come I didn't see you last year to hunt that frost monster?"

"oh about that... I cracked myself before I got assigned so I couldn't do any hunting for about eleven months whilst I was being patched up." Glass said rubbing her side where the crack ran down her. "anyway what was that frost monster like? " she said "was it dangerous did you lose anyone?"

He was a lot tougher then he looked," Mist said to Glass remembering that weekend last year, "in fact we almost lost one of our team mates but we pulled through in the end." Mist sighed thinking about Sparkle, "it's a long story but if you have the time I'd be happy to tell it one day."

"oh damn... so that's what happened. I heard the boss talking to some ponies about a pony that almost died out in the field." Glass said remembering the conversation. "because of them I had to come back from recovery as soon as I could so the boss still had a full office in his hooves."

"Yeah it was pretty big news I guess," Mist said with a tone of sadness as he remembered Sparkle laying on the couch not breathing. A few tears ran down Mist's cheek. He turned to Glass and then realised that he was crying. Mist dried his tears, "sorry. It's just that pony," Mist stopped for a second trying to think of a way to word it that wouldn't give detail about his relationship with, "was a close friend of mine."

"woah. I'm sorry Mist. I didn't know. " Glass said putting one of her hooves on his back reassuringly "they're okay now right Mist?" Glass was near tearing up she could see that the memories of that pony were hurting Mist but she didn't know why. "it's just it sounded really serious..." she said

Mist gave a small smile. He felt better with Glass's reassuring hoof on his back, "thanks Glass but I'm fine really." Mist said carefully moving Glass's hoof off his back, "all that stuff was over a year ago." Mist began to head to the stairs but stopped and turned to Glass, "I'm gonna try and make some cocoa. You want some?" he asked

"did you seriously just ask a pony that can create any liquid at any time if she want's cocoa? because yes, yes I do"  Glass said smiling. "your a strange pony Mist a strange and funny pony..." she sat on the bed and stared out the window thinking about everything that had happened until now.

"I'll be back in a tick," said Mist with a smile as he headed down stairs. He soon found the kitchen and, luckily, everything he needed to make hot cocoa. Mist even found a cup that said worlds cutest pony. Mist smiled and made the cocoa for him and Glass. When he was done he headed up stairs. "Here you go," he said handing Glass the mug that said world's cutest pony.
