Six smiled, a genuine smile for the first time this night as he danced with Lovely. He couldn't help but to admire her, she was stunning. It was a wonder as to why she didnt have a coltfriend, perhaps some big rich mogul. But he didn't care, he was finally enjoying himself since getting to Canterlot.

"My name is Lovely, Lovely Nova. Eldest daughter of the Nova family." Lovely did a curtsey, it was as if she had recited those lines thousands of times. One of Lovely's favourite songs began to play, she took Six's hooves and took him to the dance floor. They started to dance together. Lovely started smiling for the first time that night as Six spun her around, she looked beautiful even soaked in cider.

 

Eris smiled at Six and let go of Cherished. He approached Schwartz and bowed, "honour me with a dance?"

 

"No thanks. Im not much of a dancer."

*She said.*

"It's a social obligation, my dear." Eris grabbed hooves with Schwartz and took her to the dance floor. He smiled as he spun her, "you're quite light on your hooves."

 

Lovely began to laugh, she was having a lot of fun dancing. "This is fun!" She exclaimed. Then a look of alarm appeared on Lovely's face as she turned a shade of white with a green tint to it. "Six! I think I'm going to be-" Lovely vomited all over Six. Six was covered in a mix between salad and booze. Lovely was laying on the floor coughing and trying to get a breath. "Ewwww, gross," the surround socialites bellowed.

"It's a social obligation, my dear." Eris grabbed hooves with Schwartz and took her to the dance floor. He smiled as he spun her, "you're quite light on your hooves."

 

Lovely began to laugh, she was having a lot of fun dancing. "This is fun!" She exclaimed. Then a look of alarm appeared on Lovely's face as she turned a shade of white with a green tint to it. "Six! I think I'm going to be-" Lovely vomited all over Six. Six was covered in a mix between salad and booze. Lovely was laying on the floor coughing and trying to get a breath. "Ewwww, gross," the surround socialites bellowed.

 

*Schwartz cringed and extended her bat wings to help her balence. Dancing had never been something she was good at, and it made her incredibly uncomfortable to be on the dance floor.*

"If I break a wing because of this you are getting sued."

*She said. Bat winged pegasai had more delicate wings than normal pegasai. Despite this, she tried her hardest to not embarass herself while hiding her embarrasment from being pulled onto the dancefloor by Eris.*

< But I have to say,> *She thought.* <He is rather attractive, for a colt.>

Jade had tuned out most of the commotion for much of the ball. Every year, the ball was more or less the same. New students would show up and socialize, some whores would get drunk, drama and commotion would ensue, sometimes someone would pick a fight with a guard, just to solve his or her problems by calling daddy and his wallet. Jade was really waiting for the keynote speaker to speak about the upcoming school year before he'd go back to his dormitory.

 

The sound of something sloppy followed by the socialites bellowing 'Gross' brought Jade's attention to the dance floor where Lovely had just vomited. That was definately new. Jade overheard a couple at a nearby table mutter some none-too-kind things about her, and he shook his head. 'Poor girl...'

Six stood shocked for a minute, not quote processing what had just happened. Eventually he grabbed a few napkins and wiped himself off as best he could. He looked down at Lovely, he wasn't mad however, more concerned for her really. "Ya alright?" he asked as he helped her up, <definitely a first time drinker>

Eris laughed heartily at Schwartz's comment, "you're sure a fiery one aren't you?" Eris grabbed her hooves and spun her a bit, leaving her a bit off balance. Schwartz wobbled, but Eris grabbed her back until she got her proper footing again. "Your wings are beautiful by the way. Living in canterlot, one doesn't really get to see anything like them much."

 

Cherished, bored, decided to find a new objection of her affection. This brought her to Jade. Cherished walked over to the table where Jade was quietly sitting and sat next to him, "hey there handsome. My name is Cherished? Why are you sitting here all alone? Too shy to ask me for a dance." Cherished batted her eyes and smiled.

 

Lovely's face was a bright red as she nervously looked up at Six, tears in her eyes. "I-I-I'm so sorry!" Lovely began to sob and her words were too muttered to understand.

Six continued to wipe himself down. He smiled gently at Lovely and said kindly "Hey hey hey, it was just and accident, no need to cry." he said, his dual colored eyes almost shining with kindness.

Eris laughed heartily at Schwartz's comment, "you're sure a fiery one aren't you?" Eris grabbed her hooves and spun her a bit, leaving her a bit off balance. *Schwartz couldnt hold it in anymore, she blushed. She couldnt help it, this colt was charming.*

"Um, t-thanks... I guess."

*She said embarrassed.*

<What the hell is wong with me?!?! A colt? Thats as bad as falling for a manticore! I cant believe I let this happen again, especially after last time...>

Jade looked up at Cherished and smiled sheepishly. 'Oh gods she's flirting with me what do I do what do I do what do I do-' "Oh, hello. Ah, well, I'm not really much of a dancer, I'm afraid."

Splinter woke up in his Academy room again.He was looking at all the bottles of cider he had at the ball.''Bloody Hell...was tonight that BAD?!'' Thought Splinter as he brushed off the glass on his Shoulders...He then Randomly barfed into a nearby trash can.''Yes...It was that bad.'' Said Splinter as he flew off to Canterlot.''Time for my trip to the bakery'' Thought Splinter as he grabbed a few muffins,cupcakes,and a loaf of bread from the bakery.He then went into the Cafe and got some Coffee.He sat down at a Chair and drank his coffee.

The song ended and Eris bowed and kissed Schwartz'a hoof, "thanks for allowing me to share this time with you lady Schwartz." Eris turned his attention to Lovely, "I'm afraid I'll have to cut our visit short. My sister seems to have made a public fool of herself." Eris sighed. "Damage control go." Eris turned to face Schwartz, "it was a pleasure though." He smiled and helped Lovely off the floor.

"Sorry about her." Eris said giving Six a nervous look, "I'll send someone to make sure you find your dorm nicely tonight and have a basket made to help you clean off her mess."

 

Lovely gave Six a dropped-eyed 'I'm sorry' look before being carried off by Eris. The two left the ball.

 

"Nonsense!" Cherished exclaimed to Jade, "you don't have to be a dance to dance, you just need to let the music move you. Get up! Get up! Get up!" Cherished cheered next to Jade, "it's not polite to keep a lady waiting."

*Schwartz mumbled. This was bad. She recalled what had happened the last time she had fallen for a colt. This caused her to sit down at the bar and tremble, trying to hold in her tears.*

Six nodded and thanked Eris. He left the ball and went to the dorm building and waited for the pony Eris would be sending, as he was not yet told of what dorm he would be given to stay in just yet

*A young colt with a camera walked up to Schwartz and held up a picture of Eris kissing her hoof.*

"Gimmie a bit for this picture, or my dad will beat me." *The colt said. Schwartz's eyes widened. She grabbed the picture and threw a bag of bits at the young colt.*

"Gee! Thanks lady!" *The colt said and ran off.*

 

 

"Sweet Celestia, how could this happen to me?" *Schwartz said panicking. The picture had even captured her beet red face she had when Eris had kissed her.* "This can never get out, never never never."

*She took the picture and flew back to her dorm room. She lit a fire in the fireplace and held the picture by the fire trembling.*

"Just throw it in Schwartz, just throw. It. In."

*She trembled even more, then pulled the picture away from the fire and held it close to her.*

"WHY CANT I THROW IT IN??!!"

*She shouted. She stumbled over to her bed and collapsed on it, still holding the photo.*

"Why.......... why does this happen again?"

*She said through her tears.*

Jade yelped and jumped to his hooves. He regarded Cherished for a quick second, taking in her mane and make up. Oh hell, she's a socialite too. Can't risk refusing her... Jade swallowed hard and put on a smile. "Very well, then." Jade said smoothly, "Too the dance floor then, milady?"

Splinter was at his Coffee Table when he noticed so many Beautiful mares walk by.''Uh Oh...Please,PLEASE,don't make it happen now.'' Thought Splinter as his wings were shaking.Then at the sight of Lovely and Eris walking out of the Ball Room,Splinter's Wings Popped up at the Sight of Lovely.Splinters entire face Shrunk and he was Blushing hot red. ''OH BUCK!NOT NOW!ANYTIME BUT NOW!'' Thought Splinter as his wings Couldn't go down.He was still looking at Lovely.''Heh...'' Said Splinter as he Scratched his Mane.Then Splinter knew it...He had a Wingboner.Splinter Sipped his Coffee Like nothing was happening.''go away...Go away...'' Whispered Splinter to himself as his Head went from a Dark Grey to Bright Red.And his wings still couldn't go down.And the Cafe didn't have a Washroom,and He didn't want to increase the Embarrassing Wingboner in a Larger Variety.So the last choice he had was to be stuck at the Table Until the Wingboner Wore off.

As these events unfolded in front of Valiant he just stood there like a pebble in a stream as the current moved around him.

After the mare and the musician left he just thought, "Why do I even go to these parties?"

"It's always work and no fun for me"

Then he got an idea, "Maybe I should just go on duty again for another four years and its not like anyone would notice."

A fast paced song came on, Cherished used this to her advantage. Cherished turned around and began rubbing her flank against Jade, insisting it was dancing. Cherished beamed, she really wanted to get laid tonight. "Wow, you're such a man. Try not to get too excited." She said cutely.

 

"Yeah-huh, that's perfect. You can't miss him, he's the only pony in Canterlot with a souther drawl and different coloured eyes. Thanks again Hoius." Eris hung-up his phone. "What was that about?" Lovely asked. "Just sending a guy over to show Six his dorm, got him a luxury one. It's going to blow his mind." "I still don't get why you're doing this for him." "You can never have too many friends, Lovely." "I guess that makes se-" Lovely spotted Splinter starring at her with his wingboner. "Uhm," she immediately felt uncomfortable. Eris gave Splinter a questiong look, "would you like a picture, or something." Lovely began to blush and duck behind her brother.

Six stayed at the building until a pony walked up to him. "Ah you must be Six correct?" Six merely nodded, the other pony spoke up, "Very well, my name is Houis, mister Eris sent me to show you to your dorm.". He led Six up the building to the top floor, when he opened the door to one of the dorms, Sixs eyes widened and his mouth dropped, the room was huge!! Master bedroom, full size kitchen and living room, full size bathroom with a HOTTUB!! Six thanked the pony and immediately walked in, still in utter amazement of the room. On the dining table was a basket with a tag that read 'Hope you find the room to your liking, Eris'. "Oh ah like it alright" said Six to himself. He took the basket seeing it was filled with many cleaning supplies that Eris promised. He took it and went to the bathroom, filling the tub and set on taking a nice long soak, a content look on his face.

Jade blushed at Cherished's sudden affection. "Ah, w-well, that-" Jade cleared his throat, "That shouldn't be problem." Jade replied, his voice composed again. Jade danced along with her unsuredly, unsure on what to do. 'This is sooo awkward...'

Thought Splinter as Lovely was staring at him,A second later his wings went down.But he was enraged.His face got a Smug and he flipped over the table Screaming ''GOD DAMMIT!'' He Smashed the Glass Coffee table then flew into the Clouds huffing.He then sat down on a Cloud.''This is where my life has come to...I'm a terrible Comedian,Lovely Hates me,and my Brother is dead.My life is a BITCH'' Said Splinter as he Darkened the cloud.What he thought was good had come to an end.Love,A Job,Mostly all he cared about was love.But his was gone,He may as well just die now...''Lovely...What the Buck have I done?'' Thought Splinter as he Smashed his head against his hoof,This time he wanted it to hurt.Really bad.Then he heard a glass Figure Break.He knew it was his heart.He ran back to the Academy and Declared never to show his face again.

As the ball came to an end Valiant walked the streets of Canterlot.

He has matured a lot since last year when he first came back.

He saw a sign he know all too well and walked in.

 

"Double scotch on the rocks" he said with a drab tone.

The drink sped down the polished bar to Valiant.

Valiant caught it with ease and took a swig.

"It's been awhile" his old friend said.

"Yes it has...." Valiant replied.

 

Valiant was back to where he was awhile ago.

As he took another swig, he left.

That night he roamed the streets of Canterlot without the prospect of getting any sleep.......

(OOC: Should probably post something before I go absent, I guess.)

 

The two danced for a bit as the song (and the ball) began to wind down, with Jade resisting Cherished's advances with varying degrees of awkwardness. As the song ended, Jade, still blushing, thought to himself, 'Alright, this is getting too real. I gotta get outta here. Come on, think of something... Oh, I know. Smarmy mode, activate.' "Well, it was a pleasure dancing with you," Jade lied, "but I'm afraid I must get going. I have a, uh, prior engagement at the, uh, p-place." With that, Jade bowed, and took his leave, and once out of eyesight hastily grabbed his book and left the ballroom.

 

Once out safe in the fresh night air, Jade laughed to himself. 'Wow, I can't believe I almost got laid. Heh, maybe this might be an interesting year after all..." Jade took a breath of fresh air and trotted towards the dormitories.

Atropa, after being so rudely knocked down, got back up and watched the scene unfold.

She decided right then and there that those ponies were THE ponies to get to know for all the latest gossip.

She started planning on how to be friends with them.

Atropa left and went to the bar, sitting next to Valiant.

"Martini, please."

She smiled at the bartender, and sighed.
