Theory time: Could Sunset Shimmer be influenced by old Celestia?

Let's rewind a bit back, Luna became angry and jealous of Celestia when she was getting all the praise and nobody cared about poor Luna then Celestia banished her to the moon.

 

During this period I believe Celestia was a high and mighty alpha B which lead Luna to get angry and is also the reason why the Elements of Harmony left Celestia when she became full of herself. I would also believe Celestia was somewhat manipulative during this time as well afraid of her reign being overthrown.

 

What fits into this puzzle? Sunset Shimmer's own personality during the first Equestria Girls movie. Sunset Shimmer was no doubt Celestia's first student. Now we don't know how far in between Sunset Shimmer and Twilight was but no doubt when Celestia says Sunset Shimmer was her first student that could be at any time, it could even be when Celestia was being that alpha B which can explain why Sunset Shimmer acts the way she was, she got it from he old Celestia, the one that banished Luna to the moon. Celestia may have changed over the course of the years realizing her mistake but Sunset Shimmer ate up the high and mighty queen persona of Celestia and became what she is now, Celestia feeling she was no longer that old Celestia tried to curb Sunset Shimmer out of being like the old Celestia but ended up failing. 

 

Also remember how Equestria was before the mane six, the three pony tribe war, Discord, Sombra, Nightmare Moon, the Three Sirens, no doubt a pony like Sunset Shimmer would of been born into it so she was sort of an old relic from the past of war and strife.

Its a cool idea, but the issue here is that this all happened 1000 years ago. Sunset Shimmer may be a powerful Unicorn, but there's no way she could have extended her life like that.

Ok, that's a nice theory, but... not really. Celestia wasn't a "High and mighty alpha b" as you put it, she was just a young and innocent ruler basking in the adoration of her subjects and internally loving how wonderful Equestria is, not noticing the warning signs (If there even were any) for Luna going Nightmare Moon.

You mentioned the Sirens, which does bring up a good question about how much time passes between worlds. Sunset is the same age as the mane six in the other world, and appears to be around the same age in equestria(hard to tell their age without some back story). The show doesn't say how long ago the sirens were around (I dont remember), but they might be able to live really long because they're sirens. We have also seen that Canterlot high doesn't really seem to question new students appearing randomly, at least with Twilight in the first movie; Celestia did question the Sirens.
