"I can't believe that WORKED! Let's go!" Nel grabbed Dancer and Cloud's hooves and hurried them out with Strobe close behind.

 

Other prisoners instantly rushed the hole as well. Some carried their instruments while others dropped everything and ran. Bass smirked at Nel and began to split off as they hit the treeline of the forest behind the prison.

"Well, I can get his desk. You can shake the dust off the bed if you want." Steady then walked up to the desk and sat in the chair once the seat was dusted. She pulled her scarf up to her nose as she dusted as the dust had accumulated a lot more than other places.

Red proceded to shake the dust off the bid. Forgetting to put the scarf over his face, he coughed a little from the dust.

"You alright?" Steady grinned at him from behind her scarf with a giggle.

"I'm okay," he said now putting the scarf over his face, "What else is there?"

"There's the closet and his dresser. I'll get his closet." She then opened the door which blasted a cloud of dust as it moved over the carpet. The inside was relatively clear of dust dust still had the thick scent of leather as she blew the little dust away from a shoe rack. Above hung business suit tops.

Red moved over to the dresser and dusted it off.

 

(Has Steady said something about her mom?)

Nel: "Alright Strobe, let's celebrate when we're in the clear!"

 

(It's all good man, I actually went this entire day thinking it was Sunday so I'm all smile right now. )

 

(I think not Vinyl... Im not sure but let's say she hasn't.)

 

Steady stopped dusting when she came across an old grey dress that hung in the back of the closet.

Red noticed that Steady stopped and trotted over to her. "Is that your mother's?" he asked looking at the dress.

"I guess so, I've never seen this before..."

(Not seeing it before. That's interesting.)

 

"You've never said anything about your mother," Red said, "What was she like?"

"I'm not completely sure. She died when I was a filly. I dont remember much about her except this one time we all went to a park in Canterlot. All three of us were playing catch with a frisbee, Dad was grilling corn, Mom and I laid on the grass and looked at the clouds... Everypony was happy. But then a few days later Dad told me Mom had gotten into an accident and wouldn't be coming home. It took me a while to figure out what he meant..."

"I see," Red said, "And you don't remember this dress, huh?"

"No, it must be my dad's way or remembering her. He said my headband used to belong to her as well. That's why I wear it everyday."

"I see," Red said.

"You know, I don't think I cried when I was told she wouldn't come back. I like to hope it was because I was too young to know what he meant..." Steady's eyes softened as she looked at Red.

Red's eyes softened also looking at Steady. "I know how that is," he said thinking about when he first asked his father about having a mother.

"I guess we're two peas in a pod huh?" She kissed him before nuzzling his neck.

"I guess so," Red answered tipping off her fedora, kissing the top of her head, and placing it back.

She giggled again and fixed her fedora, she then looked around the room slowly.

 

"Maybe now I could try to move back in. It's been so long I don't think the guards even come by anymore. I don't want to be a bother to you either."

You haven't been bothering me," he said, "But you showed me where this is, I can probably visit sometime."

"I'd like that... and I never I was going to stop visiting you too." She smirked a pecked him on the nose.

Red smiled. "Good."

Steady stood back up straight and made her way out the door. "Well, I guess you've seen my house now. What do you think?"
