Egotist stopped.

 

"Well, not quite my friend," he said after a moments silence.

 

He chuckled to himself forlornly.

 

"I haven't heard that name in quite some time..."

"Why's that?" he asked as he paused for a moment "She showed up here a while ago too, i would of guessed you came after her."

midnight shrugged, and walked back to cloud, "ehh, just somepony rennovating." he chuckled, "come on, lets go get a bite to eat."

The Egotist glared at Fire angrily.

 

"You lie," Egotist sneered at Fire. "My daughter is long dead, and I only came here to collect on a debt."

"Ha! I'd like to see you prove I have an ulterior motive for crossing dimensions..." the Egotist said, trying not to get his hopes up.

"No i'm trying to prove your daughter is here" he said with a shrug

The Egotist's eye twitched behind his mask.

 

"B-but how?" it was all he could bring himself to say.

"Beats me" was all fire said "All i know is she showed up here a few days ago"

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"Do you know where she is now?" he asked eagerly.

[Chickey 383]

"Not really" Shadow said "But my guess is she would be at the club up in Cloudsdale with her two new friends" Fire said pointing up to Cloudsdale with his hoof..

"Indeed," the Egotist responded, his heart now beating quickly. "Perhaps you could accompany me, I just arrived and my computers seem to be failing. I'd be flying blind if I tried to find my way around."

Fire nodded "Sure, i need something to do anyways" he said with a slight smile.

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"Thank you, now please lead the way," the Egotist nodded politely to Fire.

[Chickey 383]

"Alright" Said fire as he turned as started off towards Cloudsdale. "So why did you come here in the first place?" he asked.

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"Like I said, someone here owes me a debt," the Egotist stopped. "I'm assuming this 'Cloudsdale' is in the sky?"

"Cool beans" he said "Yeah, made out of cloud actually"

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"Indeed? Well in that case," The Egotist stood up on his hind legs. He steadied himself before he continued. "Why don't we fly?"

 

He jumped into the air and rightly fell on his face.

 

"Oof, it would seem my flight boots no longer work..."

Fire held in a laugh "I can tell" he chuckled as his wings made him hover off the ground.

The Egotist rolled onto his back and then jumped to his feet.

 

"So, what did make it into this thing?" He pondered.

 

Egotist rolled his eyes.

"Oh goodie, my cape and hat both made it. "

Fire chuckled and continued to fly at a slow pace towards Cloudsdale. He noticed Shadow's house in the distance below Cloudsdale. He received a message telepathically a hour ago with a update on what had happened lately.

The Egotist poked his horn.

 

"Um," he called after Fire. "Is this a unicorn horn?"

Fire looked back "I believe it is" he said examining the Egotist.

"And what exactly is the evolutionary benefit from having this horn? I mean it can't be used in fighting, it's in too awkward of a position to be of much use. Is it for attracting a mate or displaying dominance?" The Egotist asked, now intrigued.

"Magic" Fire said "Magic can be used for many things"
