Twilight Frost 271 August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 (edited) I know I am terribly late to the game but is collecting the vinyl figures, the expensive ones still worth it? I am talking about the Luna - 90 Dollars Twilight - 90 Dollars Applejack - 45 dollars Cadence - around 50 I think and celestia which is around 60. I may be getting the cutie mark crusaders from a friend for basically nothing. There is a combo pack of luna and applejack that I have seen but, is this vinyl thing just overpriced or should I just bite the bullet and get these ones? Will they continue to rise in price in the future, or are they only expensive now because FIM is still popular and people are inflating the price of them? So far I have Lyra Bon Bon Octavia POP - Pinkie Pie I also have the guardians of harmony Celestia, luna and now discord. Just wondering if you guys think these will continue to rise in price or will I be spending 300+ dollars on overpriced vinyls that will just become worthless in 10 years. Snow 7,015 August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 (edited) if you keep them in mint condition and if the box (if there is one) doesn't get damaged, cant they become a valuable collectors item you can sell for $$$ fat stacks $$$ later when you don't want them? Twilight Frost 271 August 31, 2016 Author Share August 31, 2016 That is what I want to know. Do you think this is something that is only expensive right now because people want it since FIM is still running, or will it plumit to nothing in the future? Want to know if collecting them will be worth it in the long run.
Snow 7,015 August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 (edited) really depends on the quality, like.. a mass produced moulded plastic pony you'd get with a McDonald happy meal aint worth much and it probably never will be, something that's limited edition/hard to come by or super high quality.. that'll get you a good price later on, if its not damaged when you sell it anyway lets also not forget it takes a number of years before it becomes worth a lot Edited August 31, 2016 by Ju88snow beans
Luminance 2,186 September 1, 2016 Share September 1, 2016 It may be worth it because it has value not only to you but to other countless fans as well. Time is the enemy here and any MLP collectable will eventually be desirable after long gone.
