"Thank you, i-it just really frightened me" she says softly into the receiver "I-I dreamed you went into a game a-and never came back" she says softly and starts to tear up, which was pretty evident in her voice.

 

Candy takes the phone "Dynamo sweetheart, this is Candy, I'll give you some bits, take her and Starling out for the day, I'll be dropping over to yours to discuss things with your mother while Chocolate takes charge of the shop"

Dynamo's eyes widened slightly at the dream Orange described. 'I-It can't be. That sounds like that dream parallels to the dream I had. Maybe...maybe they have a sort of connection. I guess Miss Luna would probably know if we ask her.' He thought to himself as he analyzed the dream. Before he replied to Orange, Candy took the phone and talked to him.

 

He smiled before replying, "Hi Aunt Candy. You don't have to give me any bits. I don't mind and it's okay. Orange and I are going to find out about these dreams and then the three of us are going to have fun today. I'll let my mom know you'll be over soon. My house is just up the road from the candy shop. I'll be waiting outside so you'll be able to find it. I'll see you all soon. Goodbye. " He said as he hung up the phone.

 

He turned to look at Gentle to address her. "Hey mom. That was Orange and Aunt Candy. Orange, Starling and I are going out for the day and have some fun around town. Aunt Candy is going to stop by and visit. I just wanted to let you know what the plan would be." He said as Gentle smiled. "Thanks for letting me know sweetheart. It's good to know that I'll be seeing Candy again, but was there any reason for the visit so soon?" She asked her son in wonder.

 

Dynamo shook his head negatively. "No, I don't sorry. I just hope everything is okay. I told them I'll be waiting out front so I'm going to go get ready." He said as he finished up his breakfast before heading back upstairs to his room. He opened his closet trying to find a good outfit to wear today. It was a little warm, but still nice out. He decided to wear a purple shirt that had his cutie mark on it, black pants and sneakers. As he finished getting ready his phone beeped, letting him know he got a text message. He turned his phone on, hoping it would be Orange to let him know they were on the way. However, it turned out to be an unknown number. The text read, "I'm coming for you. See you real soon." Dynamo reread the message a couple times before replying, "Who is this and what do you want?" After sending it and waiting for a couple minutes, there was no reply.

 

Dynamo started getting a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. 'Okay first I have a strange nightmare and then an unknown text message. I'm starting to get a really bad feeling about this. I just hope I'm wrong and that this is nothing.' He thought to himself as he left his room and began heading downstairs.

Suddenly Orange gets the same sort of text message, she frantically texts Dynamo "I'm going to get the girls to come with us, if it is okay, I just got a text message an-and it scared me" she texts before she hurriedly gets dressed , grabs her things and rushes downstairs, kisses her father's cheek goodbye and drags her mother off.

 

"W-what's the matter sweetie? I haven't seen you this scared before" Candy says with clear concern and worry evident in her tone of voice.

 

"I-I got a text message from an unknown number and i-it s-scared me, I n-need to be with Dynamo!" she cries

 

This clearly worried Candy and she scooped her up and held in her arms as she ran towards Dynamo's house, as she does, she texts Gentle "Have a talk with Dynamo, Orange just got a text message from an unknown number that has her really spooked"

Dynamo suddenly got a text message from Orange. The sudden panic from reading it almost caused him to trip down the steps, but managed to catch his footing. "I'll be outside. We can give the girls the directions to my house and we can all head out together. I really hope Miss Luna will know what's going on." He texts back and starts to make his way outside.

 

"Dynamo can you meet me in the kitchen? We need to discuss something sweetheart." Gentle said grabbing Dynamo's attention. After Dynamo enters the kitchen, she walks over to him and places her hands on his shoulders. "Son I'm really starting to get worried. Candy told me that Orange just got a text message saying that somepony is coming for her. Do you know what's going on?"

 

Dynamo's eyes widened and he started to tremble slightly, but didn't show it. "She got the same message too? What in Equestria is going on here?" He blurted out without thinking. Gentle had a confused look on her muzzle as Dynamo pulled out his phone. He showed her the message and after he let her read it, he put the phone away. "Do you know who it could be mom? I'm starting to get a little freaked out by this." Gentle shook her head negatively. "I'm sorry son. I don't know who it is. That phone number doesn't ring any bells to me. Whatever the case it, you must keep close to Orange. Make sure nothing will happen to you or her understand." She said with a serious but caring look on her muzzle

 

Dynamo nodded his head quickly. "Crystal clear mom. I've got to go wait outside so Orange can find the house okay. I love you mom and dad." He said as he gave Gentle and Quick a kiss and a hug before leaving the house. He sat outside on his stoop to wait for the others.

Candy and Orange swiftly arrive at the house, "GENTLE! GENTLE!" she calls out in a frantic manner, "GENTLE STEP!" she calls out once more while Orange curled up and whimpered in her arms, "shh, shh, it's okay sweetie, we'll sort this out" she says softly.

 

Chocolate was a little worried and he dials up Quick's number, after he answers he says "Quick, as much as I trust Dynamo, I want you to go with him, Orange and Starling, whom I'll be bringing over shortly, I've not seen Orange this frightened before"

Dynamo saw Orange and Candy running over to the house. He waved at them to get their attention and heard Candy screaming his mom's name. He rushed back into the house to find her mom still in the kitchen. "Mom you got to get out here quick! Candy is calling for you and it's not good." He said before rushing back out of the house. As he made it outside he ran over to Orange and pulled her into a hug. "Shh it's okay sweetheart. I'm right here and I won't let anything hurt you." He said nuzzling her and trying to comfort his marefriend.

 

Gentle rushed out of the house after her son and saw the sight before her. "Sweet Celestia. Candy what's going on? Dynamo told me what the situation was, but I didn't think it would be this bad. Is everything going to be okay, dear?" She asked as she walked over to her friend.

 

Quick was in the basement looking for car parts when he heard his phone ringing. He looked at the number and saw it was Chocolate. After answering he was caught up to speed on what was happening. "Hello Chocolate, how can I help you? Okay I understand.  I'll stay out of sight so I don't have to act like a chaperone. Dynamo doesn't seem to be in the right mind state, but with everything going on I can understand what you mean. Okay I'll let both Gentle and Candy know about you bringing Starling over. See you soon." He said and hung up his phone. He headed up from the basement to find Gentle and Candy.

Candy lets Orange down so she could run over to Dynamo "I'm not entirely sure, but it had Orange really spooked" she says with clear concern in her voice, "I asked Orange to get her other friends here and I believe Chocolate will be asking Quick to keep an eye on them." she says

 

Orange runs to Dynamo and hugs him, crying "I'm s-s-scared" she whimpers softly

 

Chocolate nods as he gets Starling read "Thank you, I don't really know what is happening, but it's got Orange real spooked, she said she had a nightmare last night, something is happening and I'm really worried"

 

Candy looks to her friend "I think we should take them out of school early, go to Manehatten within the next few days"

Dynamo kissed the top of her head and lead her and the others into the house. They go over to a couch in the living room and sit down. He takes out his phone to send a text message. "Hey Twi, it's Dynamo. Orange had a nightmare and it's really starting to freak her out. Can you, Sunset, and Starlight come over to my house so we can all hang out together? She could really use some friends right now. I'll send the directions to my house." After sending the message he looks over to Orange with a smile. "I just sent a message to Twilight. They'll be over here soon. We can all talk about it if you want.  Everything will be okay my love. I'm not going anywhere. I love you." He said as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

 

As Quick entered the kitchen, he noticed everypony in the living room. "I just got off the phone with Chocolate. I promise to watch over them, but I'm not going to be in the group. I'll follow them from a distance so they can all be together." He said as he explained the plan to Gentle and Candy.

 

"I think that's a good idea dear. I also think Starling shouldn't go with the group. I have a bad feeling and I don't want my little niece to get hurt. I also think that's for the best Candy. We can ask Principal Celestia if that's okay. I just hope Night Dancer doesn't mind the sudden change in arrival." Gentle said as she nodded her head in understanding.

Twilight gets the message "You got a message and it's freaking her out? I'll text the girls, I'll also get Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack and Fluttershy to come as well, the more there is, the better security" she texts back

 

Orange nods  "O-okay" she says softly and nuzzles him lovingly

 

Candy nods "I agree, Starling can stay here with us, give her some quality time with her mummy and auntie and I'm sure Celestia won't mind, she and Luna both care very much for them, as for Night, I'm sure she won't mind either" she says then gets out her phone to ring up Princess Luna.

Dynamo got a new text from Twilight. "That's perfect. Just text me to let us know when you guys get here. Thanks again Twi I appreciate it." After sending the text he looks over to Orange again as she nuzzles him. "Twilight's bringing a couple more friends with us to keep everything safe. I know we're going to see Miss Luna today to see what this is all about. Is there anything else you wanted to do today sweetheart. It doesn't really matter what it is. I just want to be with you." He said as he nuzzles her back and kissed her cheek.

 

Gentle nodded her head. "That's true. Also let them know that Dynamo and Orange need to see Luna. We need to get to the bottom of this. These dreams feel too real to be just dreams." She said with a frown on her muzzle. She felt Quick hug her from behind and she leaned into the hug.

Luna answers the phone "Hello Candy, is there..." she could hear crying "CANDY! Is everything alright!?" she asks with clear worry in her voice,

 

Candy couldn't speak so she hands the phone over to Gentle

Dynamo continues to rub Orange's back and nuzzle her. He gently rocks her back and forth to try and comfort her.

 

Gentle took the phone from Candy. She nodded in understanding at her friends distress. "Hello Luna. This is Gentle Step, Dynamo's mother. Something happened to both of our children. They've had a nightmare each and it's really starting to stress them both out. They've been telling us what happened, but we can't make heads or tails on the matter. We were wondering if we can send them over to you and see if you can try and help them. Also we may have to take them out of school earlier than expected for summer break. Whatever is going on, it's not really safe right now for them. I hope you can understand." She said as she spoke into the receiver.

Luna frowns "Joint nightmares? That is bad news, stay there, I will come to you, and you are right, it isn't safe. I'm aware that Twilight and her friends are coming over as well, I'll be there in about ten" she says then hangs up, rushes out to the guards "GUARDS! I NEED A CHARIOT RIGHT AWAY!" she demands and a chariot is brought right away.

 

She boards it and flies at top speed to go to Gentle's house. She immediately disembarks and strides over to the group, she looks at them "Everypony, inside, then tell me what is happening" she says in a demanding yet caring tone.

 

Candy and Orange nods as they follow Gentle and Dynamo in

"Thank you Luna. We'll see you in a little bit." Gentle said as she hung up the phone and handed it back to Candy. She then walked over to Candy and pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry Candy. I know Luna will be able to figure this all out." She said to her life long friend.

 

After a couple minutes they saw a chariot flying down towards them. Luna stepped off the chariot and was lead by Gentle into the living room. "Okay Luna, here's everything we know so far. Both Dynamo and Orange have had a nightmare and we believe it to be the same. Then both of them receive a text message saying that somepony is looking for them. These things are connected somehow, but we don't know how or why." She said as she sat next to the Princess and explained everything to her.

 

Dynamo began to slightly tremble and started to become nervous. "N-No I didn't have a nightmare. It was just late night studying and I was just tired." He said hoping the others would believe him.

 

Gentle could see through the lie and shook her head at Dynamo. "Dynamo, you said you had a nightmare as well. I remember you said your thought out loud, saying that you and Orange almost had a nightmare at the same time." She said as Dynamo's ears drooped and he looked away from everypony in embarrassment.

Luna frowns "Joint dreams are a rare thing, as are joint nightmares" she says and looks to him, "Tell me, what happened in your nightmare dear" she says and then looks to Candy and Orange with a nod "As for your question, yes, taking them out of school for the rest of term and going on holiday early would be a good thing, I will have their teachers get their work for them though" she says

 

Orange was curled up in Gentle's lap

Gentle had a surprised look on her muzzle at the information given. "I never knew a joint dream or nightmare could be that rare. Also thank you. They'll have their work done by the time they come back from summer break. Go ahead Dynamo. I promise it'll be fine." She said as she looked at her son to explain himself. She felt Orange curl herself up in her lap. Gentle smiled and rubbed her hand through Orange's hair.

 

Dynamo was afraid to tell his dream. 'I don't want to tell anypony to know about my nightmare. I can't lie in front of Miss Luna.' He thought as he nervously chewed his bottom lip. After a minute of debating, he took a deep breath and sighed. "Okay I'll tell you. Orange's nightmare was that I entered a game and I never came back. When she told me it linked to my nightmare somehow. Mine was that I was playing a game against somepony. His face was blurred out so I couldn't tell who it was. Although everypony else was there. My mom and dad, Aunt Candy and Uncle Chocolate, Starling, our friends, and Orange. I lost the game I was playing and I was on my knees slumped in defeat. Everypony just laughed at me and was disappointed at me. They called me names and other things as well. The pony who won got them all on his side and just abandoned me. T-They...s-said I wasn't worth being a friend. O-Orange,s-she said...she hated me and didn't want me anymore." He said the last part in a whisper. A lone tear ran down his cheek as he was telling his nightmare.

 

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Quick went over to the door to see who was there. When he opened the door, it was Twilight and the others who were on the other side. "You must be Twilight and everypony else who would be with Dynamo and Orange. Come with me. I'll lead you into the living room." He said as he let everypony in and lead them to where the others were at.

Both Chocolate and Candy looks to him and Candy hugs him "That'll never happen darling" she says and Orange looks up from her curled up state.

 

"I n-n-never h-hate you" she says softly.

 

Candy smiles "see dear, and I know for a fact that your parents love you with their lives and would never abandon you, nor would Chocolate or I." she says, kissing his nose gently.

 

Twilight nods "come on girls, from what Orange said, she's really spooked" she says as she and the girls all walk in

Dynamo felt Candy hug him and he leaned into the hug. After she kissed him on the nose, he wiped the tear stain away and nodded his head. "I-I understand, but it felt so real. I could guess in a dream you feel as if you can do anything. Though this dream just felt too real. Almost as if I was actually living it. D-Do you know what this means Miss Luna? Can a dream like that have any meaning or be a vision or something along those lines?" He asked as he looked up to the Princess of the Night.

 

Gentle felt her heat tighten at her son's sadness. "You know your father and I would never hate you, sweetheart. It was only just a dream and nothing more. I promise you that, dear." She said trying to lessen her son's worry.

 

"Hey kids, were you expecting some company? Because I got the mother load of company right here." Quick said and smiled as he, Twilight and the girls entered the living room. As that happened, Dynamo smiled slightly from seeing his friend Twilight, but also more ponies he could become friends with. "Hey there Twilight. It's nice to see you again. Same with you Sunset. Also to all those I haven't met, my name is Dynamo Pad, but you can call me Dynamo. It's really nice to meet all of you." He said as he bowed slightly to be respectful to the others.

Luna thinks for a moment "As i said dear, this sort of thing is a rare occurrence but not unheard of, as for feeling that is real..."  she says in thought "This will require me to do some research" she says and frowns a little then smiles as Twilight and her friends come in.

 

Twilight heard and she frowns "Princess, from what I've read, that sort of things is dark magic, and by dark I mean blacker than night, Zeocra's potions, the alicorn amulet and the artifacts that Starlight had are nothing compared to this" she says and looks to Starlight and Sunset "Not even what Sunset did in the human world equated to this. It is very dark and powerful magic, the sort of magic that could cause a pony to die in their sleep." she says then looks to Dynamo "sorry Dynamo, but I have to speak the truth, it's almost like something out of those Nightmare on Elm Street movies"

 

Orange eeps and quivers in fear

Dynamo nodded at Luna's explanation. "I understand. Thanks anyway Miss Luna." He said as he turned to hear Twilight's explanation. He gulped and quivered a bit in fear of what was said. "I've never seen those movies, but I can see what you mean, Twi. This is just starting to freak me out." He said as he noticed how scared Orange was.

 

Quick gathered all the information given and tried to process an idea. "What I'm trying to figure out is why them? Their dreams are almost the same. Almost as if one dream will enact the other if it comes to pass. If this is dark magic, then there has to be a pony, or even a creature who's casting this on them. The question is who or what is doing this and why." He said as he tried to throw his two cents in.

Chocolate nods in agreement "Dynamo, the stallion that was fighting you for Orange on your first date, was he a unicorn?" he asks "and do you recognize him from anywhere? School or Fillydelphia perhaps?" he asks another question, still trying to process everything. 

 

Sunset growls "Wait, somepony has been bullying these two? Who'd want to bully two of the nicest ponies I know!"

 

Twilight sighs "Even if the bully isn't a unicorn, he could still use some sort of artifact to manipulate the dreamworld"

Dynamo nodded at Chocolate's question. "Yes that bully was a unicorn and he was from our school here. Though from what Sunset said yesterday, he was expelled for the way he acted. I don't even know who he is, his name, his purpose so I would have to rule him out." He said and he put a hand under his chin to think of anypony else involved.

 

Gentle shook her head and sighed. "I don't understand how something would just pick on these two. They did nothing wrong to deserve such treatment. I also agree with you Twilight. Unicorn magic can only go so far and can't involve the world of dreams. Only Princess Luna or an artifact can affect dreams." She said as she began to shake with worry. Quick tightened the hug and Gentle began to calm down.

 

Just then Dynamo's phone went off with another text message. "If you want answers then come find me. I'll be waiting for you at the arcade. Let's make dreams become reality K.T." Dynamo began to shake and tremble as his eyes began to shrink in fear. The phone fell out of his hands and fell to the floor. He suddenly got up and started to run out of the living room. "I'm sorry everypony, but I got to go!" He said as he ran out of the house and raced for the arcade.

Chocolate looks at him "Where are you going Dynamo? It isn't safe" he says as he looks to his daughters who were curled up in Candy and Gentle's laps. He then looks to the text message "If you're going, then take an adult with you" he says with caution, "who knows what this pony wants with you"

 

Orange was too scared to say anything and were shaking in fear

 

Sunset growls "I'm going with you, as will Starlight, we have knowledge of artifacts"

Whatever the others had said didn't register to Dynamo, as he just kept on running to the arcade as fast as he could. Gentle levitated the phone to her and read out the message. After reading the message, she almost let the phone drop from her magical grip, but was able to keep a hold on it. She turned to face Quick with a concerned look on her face. "Quick you have to go with the others. Stay out of sight so the others won't see you."

 

Quick had a confused yet concerned look on his muzzle. "Why is that, Gentle? Do you know who it is?" He asked as he was preparing to leave the house. Gentle nodded grimly. "I do and if we don't hurry, then it's not going to end well. It's the original." She said as that was all Quick needed to hear as he turned to face Sunset and Starlight. "Come on girls, let's go! I'll stay out of sight. You need to keep Dynamo safe at all costs." As the three left the house to chase after Dynamo, everypony had a look of concern or confusion directed at Gentle.

 

She closed her eyes and sighed before opening her eyes to look at the others in the room. "I'm sorry everypony. I'm guessing you need an explanation as to what just happened, huh?" Seeing everypony nod their heads, she continued. "When I said the original, I meant it's one of the bullies that used to bully Dynamo. I don't know how he got here, or why, but he's here. Dynamo is going to meet him and I'm just worried." She said as she placed a hand over her heart. She looked at the door where her son and husband had just left and closed her eyes in worry.

 

Dynamo panted from running, but just kept on moving. 'This can't be happening. This just can't be. Why would he be here? Please let me be wrong. Please.' He thought as he saw the arcade was just in sight. 

 

At the arcade, a teal unicorn was outside leaning against the arcade. Next to him was the bully Dynamo faced to protect Orange. Both had small smirks on their faces as they waited for Dynamo to show up. He closed his eyes and continued waiting. "Soon Dynamo Pad. Very soon you'll pay for crossing paths with me again." He thought as he opened his eyes and folded his arms.

The girls all nod at the explanation then followed Quick, quickly. "what did this pony do to Dynamo back in Fillydelphia?" Sunset asks, "and what is his name?" she asks.

 

Meanwhile, Luna's ear twitches and she wrinkles her nose "I smell..darkness..evil" she sighs "they're back"
