Quick ran after his son with the two mares following him. "This pony picked on Dynamo. He treated my son like dirt and always put him down. He hurt Dynamo physically, mentally, verbally, emotionally, you name it. No matter how much he begged, this pony would never stop. He wouldn't be satisfied until he knew for sure a pony was miserable. He would use any tactic he would get in order to win. He treated Dynamo badly just for his kindness towards others." He said as he clenched his fists at the memories. "That pony's name is...Cosmic Clown."

 

Gentle heard a sigh and looked over to see it was Luna. "What do you mean Luna? Who is back?" She asked in wonder and worry.

 

Dynamo reached the arcade and put his hands on his knees to catch his breath. After gathering his bearings, he looked around the area for the one responsible for the messages. The pony in question saw Dynamo and pushed off from the wall he leaned on. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the pony of the hour. It's been a long time, hasn't it, Kyubiki Tenchu?" The pony said with an evil grin on his muzzle.

 

Upon hearing that name, Dynamo looked over and saw the teal pony looking directly at him. "I...I don't believe it. It r-really is you." Dynamo said as he gasped at the pony across from him. "Well of course it's me. I mean who else could it have been? You do remember my name right?" The pony said as he shrugged his shoulders. Dynamo hesitantly nodded his head. "I do. Y-You're...Cosmic Clown." The pony, now known as Cosmic Clown nodded his head and grinned widely. "Good you really do remember me."

Sunset growls "Cosmic...You gotta be kiddin' me! I know that freak!" she says, as she stood and watched,  "If he tries anything, he'll have us to answer to"

 

Luna frowns "The Dark Carnival" she says "Or as they are better known Cirque Du Freak: Carnival of Lost Souls" she says "A carnival that lures in fillies and colts and if they don't pass a certain test, their souls are trapped to servitude forever unless they can prove themselves worthy in the future" she says with a deep frown "there's been no evidence of what's been going on, but I know..knew the ringmaster and his son, I have a feeling this Cosmic Clown is part of their carnival"

Quick had a surprised look on his face. "I'm surprised that you do. How is it that you know him in the first place?" He asked as they neared the arcade. "It looks like they're just waiting on who will make the first move. I'm going to stay hidden until the time is right. You two stay with him as best as you can." He said as he flew off to higher ground so he wouldn't be spotted.

 

Gentle's eyes shrank as she processed all the information. "So then all this time he could have taken Dynamo's soul!? How long has this carnival been going on for? Also why now would he appear!?" She asked in rapid fire of multiple questions. She noticed Orange shaking and whimpering from hearing everything. She assumed Orange was very worried about her coltfriend. Gentle began to scratch behind Orange's ears to try and calm her down. "Everything will be okay Orange. Sunset and Starlight are very powerful in magic. They won't let anything happen to Dynamo. Plus my husband is with them. Even against a unicorn, my husband knows how to put up a fight." She said hoping her words wouldn't betray her.

 

Dynamo took a deep breath to try and calm down and gain some confidence. "What is it that you want Cosmic? After all these years you decide to show up now. I'm guessing you're not just sight seeing." Cosmic grinned and chuckled. "Very perceptive of you. I just came by to see how my favorite punching bag was doing. Also I heard you have a marefriend, is that right?" he asked as Dynamo's eyes twitched slightly. "What do you mean? How do you know I have a marefriend? What makes you think I have one anyway." He lied trying to protect Orange. Cosmic laughed and pointed his thumb over to the pony next to him. "Don't play dumb with me. I got all the information I could ever ask for. Don't you remember this big lug? He wanted to see the two of you again. Saying he had a score to settle with Dynamo Pad and Orange "Sherbert" Sparks." Cosmic said as Dynamo looked to where Cosmic was pointing. He gasped as he noticed the bully from a few days ago. "Hey that's the same bully who I beat at Guitar Hero. I thought we agreed he wouldn't show his face around here ever again. I also heard he was expelled. What's he doing here anyway, huh Cosmic?" He asked demanding answers.

 

Cosmic smirked at Dynamo. "Well, if you must know, he was my spy." He said leaving Dynamo with a lost and confused look on his muzzle.

Sunset growls "He was my original bully when I was a little filly, he never used to be this way though, it was only after he went to that damned carnival" she says and growls at Cosmic Clown, Starlight does the same. "You've got some nerve showing up around here Cosmic" she says as she steps in, her horn glowing with an angry red aura.

 

Orange whimpers more and Luna sighs and nods "Yes, he indeed could have but Dynamo wasn't the only one he's bullied like that, he did so to Sunset Shimmer and Starlight as well" she says then looks to her watch "I have some contacts in Manehatten looking into it, perhaps you've heard of her, Night Dancer?"

Cosmic looked over Dynamo's shoulder as saw Sunset and Starlight. He chuckled softly before going into a full blown laughing fit. "Oh today must be my lucky day. If it isn't Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer. It's been far, far too long. How have the two of you been? I've missed you. Don't you miss me? Also I have some nerve Sunset? It should be him that has some nerve." He said pointing a finger at Dynamo.

 

Dynamo looked behind him and saw Sunset and Starlight had joined him. "What are you two doing here? I needed to do this on my own. He's my problem not yours." He said trying to not let anything happen to them. "You still haven't answered my questions Cosmic. What did you mean by a spy? How do you even know Sunset and Starlight? Also what do you mean I have some nerve. What did I ever do to you?" He asked and Cosmic sighed.

 

"Okay, okay. You caught me." He said as he put his hands up in the air in mock defeat. "I was bullies towards those two mares over there when I was younger. After I went to this carnival I figured it was a time for a change. So I moved over to Fillydelphia and that's where I ran into you. I was basically bored messing with them and so I found myself a new toy to break. For the spy well, he was from the new clan I formed while you "ran away." After you left, I sent him to keep tabs on you and see how you were progressing. He was somepony you never knew, so it was that much easier to not get caught. After he got expelled, he came back home and relayed all the info to me. That was all the info I needed to come visit and here I find you three." He said with a menacing grin.

 

Dynamo was shocked that Cosmic planned everything out. "I never ran away. I was accepted into a new school and so I left. I never ran from anything! Also what now? What do you have to gain now that you're here?" Cosmic began pacing back and forth. "Ah yes. You got accepted into a school that takes rejects and failures. What a fitting school for you and the others. Also let's see. I have the three biggest losers I messed with. Plus there's that Twilight Sparkler and that Orange you care oh so much about. I thought I could get some payback on the pony who ruined my life!" He yelled as he stamped a foot at Dynamo. "What do you mean? I never ruined your life. You were the one who ruined mine until I stood up to you and your leader." Dynamo said as Cosmic clenched a fist. "Oh, but you did. That jerk stopped being a bully after losing to you. That didn't stop me from wanting to make you suffer. Plus now that I'm here I can take revenge on what should have been done a long time ago. By the way how were the nightmare's for you and your little mare?" He asked as he became calm with a smirk on his face. 

 

Gentle nodded in acknowledgement. "So Dynamo wasn't the only one picked on by Cosmic. I never knew he was that much trouble right from the get go. I also know Night Dancer. She's best friends with Candy and I. I never knew she was looking into that carnival case so much. I hope she'll be okay." She asked feeling nervous for her friend.

Starlight growls "You will hurt nopony anymore Cosmic, and for your information, Twilight Sparkle is now a Princess, more powerful than you ever could be" she growls at him  "and you're not the only one with powerful artifacts!" she growls, little did she know that Trixie was at the arcade, she could hear the discussion, she knew of the carnival and it's dark powers, she looks to the amulet around her neck. 

 

She steps up to the crowd "You really want to take on three mares with powerful artifacts and a Princess?" she asks, crossing her arms. She looks to the looks of the girls "I know I was a bully back then, but I've changed my ways" she says as she fiddles with her amulet and the other two got their artifacts ready.

 

Luna nods "She has the best guards I could afford to give to her"

Cosmic gasped and clapped his hands in a slow clap. He then noticed a blue mare with a hat and cape walk out of the arcade. "Oh where's my autograph book. Oh please. Like I'm going to be afraid of three mares and a princess. Also for your information ladies, I didn't come here for you. I came here for him." He said as he pointed a finger at Dynamo.

 

Dynamo became very still as he remembered Cosmic saying something. "Wait a minute. You said nightmares for Orange and I. What are you trying to say?" Cosmic lightly chuckled before laughing again. "So, you've finally put the pieces together. Yes, it was I who gave you those nightmares. You see, I have my own amulet as well." He said as he pulled the amulet from around his neck, to out of his shirt. "This amulet can let me make dreams become nightmares and nightmares to reality. That's how I could give you and Orange a joint nightmare. All I have to do is see the face of my victim and they fall into my spell." He said as Dynamo started to seethe with rage. "So...you were the one...who made Orange and I to suffer?" He asked angrily and so quietly it almost couldn't be heard.

 

Cosmic gave Dynamo a mocking smile. "Yeah and what are you going to do about it, huh?" Dynamo snapped and charged right at Cosmic. He raised a fist and tried throwing a punch, only for Cosmic to sidestep him. He retaliated by landing a punch of his own in Dynamo's stomach, causing the unicorn to collapse to the ground, knocking the wind out of him. Dynamo clutched his stomach and exploded into a fit of coughing. "That's what you get for messing with me. Plus Pinball Wizard would be ashamed if he saw the way you acted right now. He told you never to resort to violence and here you are now. What? Did it bother you and that brat you call a marefriend of yours up that badly?" Cosmic said shaking his head. Dynamo tried to reply, but he was still trying to get air back into his lungs.

 

Cosmic noticed the three mares were prepared to attack him for hurting Dynamo. "Now ladies. I don't want you to do anything reckless. Not unless you want me to cause a scene with Orange or anypony else. Besides, I told you my business is with the mess on the floor." He said planting a foot on Dynamo's back to prove his point.

 

Quick was starting to get frustrated with hiding instead of being with the others to help. He was surprised that his son would try and attack another pony, but couldn't blame him after all the times he was bullied by Cosmic. "Come on Dynamo. You got to get up. You can't let him mess with you anymore."

 

Gentle smiled at Luna. "That's good to hear. I'm glad Night is going okay, then. How long has she been on this case for, Luna?" She asked the Princess in curiosity.

the girls nod and use all of their artifacts, Sunset transformed into her demon form, Starlight used her to erase Cosmic's cutie mark and Trixie used hers to use powerful magic to hold him against the wall.

 

"You can't do anything without your cutie mark, you've been equalized now" Starlight says with a growl,

 

"WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT!?" came a demanding voice from behind, and there stood Celestia

 

"Celestia! This colt was the one who bullied Sunset and Starlight when they were little and now he's bullying Dynamo and Orange!" Twilight explains

 

"Is that so?" she asks, crossing her arms

 

Luna nods and her ear twitches "the young ones are in good hands, I sense my sister is there"

Cosmic struggled as he was pinned against the wall with magic. He also felt his cutie mark vanish and replaced with an equal sign. He saw Celestia and Twilight appear and were ready to take action. He smirked at the situation he was put in. "Well this is truly an honor. Two Princesses come to greet my presence. Oh where are my manners. Just a moment." He said as the amulet came to life and repelled everyone away. His cutie mark reappeared and his eyes started to glow red. "Do you really think you've won oh so easily? I'll never stoop to being equal to you and your pack of losers and rejects, Starlight. I told you before, didn't I? This amulet can make all my dreams become a reality. So to be fair, that was a nice try, I'll give you that much." He said as he brush the dust off of his clothing.

 

Dynamo stared getting up slowly. His panting came to a halt as his lungs were filled with oxygen once again. "So the loser finally stands up once more. Now then, we have some business to attend to. Follow me Kyubiki. You and I are going to play the one game that you and I both know best." He said as he made his way into the arcade. The other bully decided to follow his leader into the arcade with him. Dynamo reluctantly decided to follow him. Seeing the others getting ready for another round of attacks, put his arms up to stand down. "Please everypony stop. All he wants is me and that's exactly who he's going to get. I have to do this." He said as he made his way to Cosmic's location. "Glad to see you didn't chicken out. Now the rules are simple. The game we are playing on is Ultimate Ninja Storm: Generations. One game and that's it. If you win, I'll hand over the amulet and we both turn ourselves in. I'll also tell you everything that I know. If I win however...I get to take you're marefriend away from you forever. We also get to walk away free ponies." 

 

Dynamo's eyes widened in shock before he narrowed his eyes at Cosmic. "Forget that! There's no way I'll bet the life a pony in this." He said anger written all over his muzzle. "Oh, I'm sorry. You think you have the right to be issuing orders around me? Well too bad. You have no choice in the matter. So be quiet and let's get this started." Cosmic chuckled as he set the game up for the players. Quick noticing his son and the others head into the arcade decided to leave his hiding spot. He headed into the arcade to join everypony in case something happened.

 

Gentle smiled, but had a wondering look on her muzzle. "It's good to know everything is okay for now. Though why is Princess Celestia there? Did something happen?"

There was nothing else for them to do, they just stood and watched while Celestia says softly "Please be careful" she says as she watches and looks at the game, "Oh no"

After Cosmic finished picking his character, he looked back over Starlight and smirked. "It's as I said. My amulet makes my dreams become a reality. If I see myself in trouble the amulet can make a nightmare become that of a dream. So long as I wear it, then I have nothing to fear. Not by you. not by an alicorn, not by anypony." He said as he turned his attention over to his opponent. "So are you ready to get this started or what?"

 

Dynamo nodded his head and began to pick his team. His ears perked as Celestia had addressed him. He turned to face here and nodded his head. "I promise. I'll be careful Miss Celestia and thank you." He said as he used his controller to lock in his team.

 

Quick noticed Celestia becoming worried as he saw the game Dynamo and Cosmic were about to play. "What's wrong, Celestia? Is something wrong with the game?" He asked growing concerned for Dynamo.

 

Cosmic grinned and selected the stage. "Okay then. Let's get this show on the road, fillies and gentlecolts." He said and the game commenced.

 

 

 

As the battle commenced, Cosmic quickly took the upper hand over Dynamo. Dynamo tried to fight back and gain an advantage, but it was proved to be futile. In the end, Cosmic was able to land the finishing blow on Dynamo, declaring him the winner. Cosmic cheered as he danced and basked in his victory. Dynamo was stunned at the results of the game. His controller fell from his hands and he slumped to his knees in defeat. He began to hyperventilate at the thought of failing to protect Orange.

 

Cosmic saw the state of Dynamo and chuckled. "I knew it. You aren't the same as you were years ago. All the games you won back home, that battle with my spy, were nothing but pure luck. You couldn't win against me. Now I get my prize. I take your marefriend away from you." His smile changed into a full blown grin at the thought of winning his trophy. Dynamo looked up while grabbing onto the legs of Cosmic's pants. "Please don't take here away. I didn't even agree to the deal." He said as he begging look on his face.

 

Cosmic looked down at Dynamo and scoffed at him. "Don't you have any pride? I told you I don't care if you agreed to the bet or not. I won, simple as that. So now you have to pay the price." He said as he turned his attention to all the other occupants in the arcade. "On second thought, you can keep her. I don't want a pony who's broken already. Besides, I got all I want in the end, didn't I?" He said, laughing at his little joke.

Rainbow frowns and goes behind the console, she then begins poking around  "Hmm, I wonder where this goes?" she asks as she begins following it to another console, "What do we have here?" she asks, "well, well, well, we have a cheater among us" she says, "HEY! EVERYPONY! OVER HERE!" she yells, motioning for ponies to come over and take a look.

Cosmic narrowed his eyes at the pony who found him out. "So what if I did? It doesn't matter anymore now does it? I won and that's all that matters. Winning is all that matters to a gamer." He said as Dynamo grew a confused look on his face. "W-What do y-you mean you g-got what you wanted?" Cosmic looked down at Dynamo and smiled wickedly. "Isn't it obvious, Kyubiki? I beat my rival after so long and I made an embarrassment out of you. I mean, come on. Was it that obvious? That nightmare I gave you has become a reality now. Everypony here will hate you for what you've done. Your parents don't care about you. Those 'friends' of yours? They won't ever forgive you for almost losing Orange. Even Orange herself hates you. I have no doubt in my mind that she will dump you for someone greater. She could do better in finding a coltfriend who would protect her no problem. You were always a failure and I came here to remind you of it. Once a failure, always a failure."

 

Dynamo let go of the legs of Cosmic's pants before slumping even further to the floor. He began to shake and tremble, as his nightmare replayed itself in his mind. Tears were beginning to cascade down his muzzle. He started to cry and whimper, as Cosmic began laughing at his opponents misfortune. "Oh, this is absolutely fantastic. I finally broke that poor sap's spirit. Now he won't ever trust anypony again! Unless you look them right in the eyes and then tell me I'm wrong. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong!" He yelled as he awaited Dynamo's response. When he got no response from the blue unicorn, he smirked at his victory. "I thought so. Well it's been a real pleasure meeting everypony here, but I got to head out. My partner and I have an appointment at the carnival and we don't want trouble. So take care!" He said as he began to walk away.

 

Before he completely left the store, he turned to briefly glance at the group and at Dynamo. "You know Dynamo? I will never understand why you have a controller as a cutie mark. That mark is a complete and utter lie of your destiny. Just seeing that mark makes me sick that somepony like you bears it. Why don't you have Starlight remove it. Maybe it'll make your troubles that much easier. You disgrace the name of a gamer. Also, don't come looking for me. I'm sure our paths will cross again someday. Good luck on trying to fix him. I broke him beyond repair and his pieces lay shattered. I doubt he will be the same ever again. Farewell, Kyubiki Tenchu, you loser." With that he took his leave and left the arcade.

 

Quick looked at the broken form of his son and tried to go comfort him. Dynamo remained on the ground crying, as his nightmare truly became a reality. He felt as if darkness and despair took hold of him. As he lay there, he began repeating "I'm sorry." over and over. Quick placed a hand on Dynamo's back. "Dynamo, my son. Are you going to be okay, pal?" As Dynamo felt a hand on his back, he started to panic. His nightmare began to play over and over and he pushed the arm off of him. "Get away from me!" He yelled in alarm. His horn glowed as he used a teleportation spell to leave the arcade. He got up off the ground and started to run away.

 

"Dynamo! No come back! Darn it we need to go after him. He doesn't even have his phone. Some come with me to find him, while the rest of you head back to the house. Explain everything and we'll go search for him in groups. We have to find him. He isn't in the right state of mind right now." He said as he tried to formulate a plan to find Dynamo.

 The girls nod and race after him, except for Celestia. She stands there, glaring at Cosmic, she then traps him with her magic, "you're under arrest Cosmic Clown, you have quite a few things to answer for" she says in an alarmingly calm tone.

 

Rainbow finds Dynamo, she looks at him and grabs him "Snap out of it D! We don't hate you! He's lying!" she says then looks at him as she slaps him across the face "We're not going to leave you for losing some stupid game! Do you think the girls left me after I screwed up at the Wonderbolt's race? Do you think they left me when I was being accused of making Spitfire leave for it?" she asks and then shakes her head "No, they're loyal, we're loyal to you." she says "Trust me, I'm the element of Loyalty after all!"

Cosmic laughed at the poor attempt by the Princess of the Sun. "Oh please, Celestia. It didn't work before and it certainly won't now." He said as the amulet made him teleport out of Celestia's magical grasp. His face grew serious as he looked up at the alicorn. "Now I'm only going to say this once. So listen up. I won and that loser lost. We made a deal that my partner and I would go freely. I am under no obligations to follow your command. Now I'm leaving this time and you won't stop me. If you do, then I'll make your darkest dreams a reality. Maybe have Luna turn back into her old ways and then banish you away." He said as he saw the Princess wouldn't back down, but see the look of disbelief in her eyes. "Exactly my point. Farewell, your majesty." He said in a mock bow and used a teleportation spell to make a quick exit back home. 

 

Dynamo kept on walking with his head down. Not caring who he bumped into. He didn't know where he was going, but he just wanted to be away from everypony. He soon got pulled over by Rainbow as he felt her grip his shirt. He drowned out her words, until he felt her slap him in the face. He placed a hand on his cheek from where she slapped him. He had a look of surprise in his eyes. The look of surprise was quickly diminished as he thought of one thing to say to the Pegasus. "I'd like to believe you, but do you know what it's like? To have nothing since the beginning? Working hard being kind and helpful, only for others to still treat you badly? Then finding those that actually care about you only to feel like you'll lose them in the end!?"

 

Quick took to the sky in search of Dynamo. He heard yelling and went to the source of the yells. He saw it was Dynamo and Rainbow talking to each other. He smiled seeing that his son was safe and landed near their location. "Listen to me, son. She's telling you the truth. If she's the element of loyalty, then she would never leave a friend. No matter what happened. Look her in the eyes and tell me if she's lying." He said placing a hand on his son's shoulder.

 

Dynamo nodded and proceeded to look Rainbow in the eyes. He saw nothing, but care and trust in her eyes. This caused Dynamo to gasp and looked up at Quick. "She's being honest to me. She really is being loyal." Quick smiled and nodded at Dynamo. "You see? I know what happened was bad, but don't think everypony will leave you. We're here for you because we want to. We all love you Dynamo. Please believe us." He said with a hopeful look in his eyes.

 

Dynamo nodded his head. "I do believe you dad, but I'm worried about Orange. What if Orange and her parents hate me for almost losing her to Cosmic? I d-don't want to lose her dad. I love her t-too much to lose her." He said as began to cry. Quick brought his son in for a hug and began to rub Dynamo's back in comfort.

Rarity nods as the other girls catch up "Darling, It wasn't your fault, that lout only won by cheating, and because he cheated he didn't really win." she says as she looks at him "Nor did he win by making everyone hate you, none of us here hates you or is disappointed in you, and I know for a fact that the little darling Orange and her parents won't hate you either" she says , gently placing a hand on his shoulder.

 

Applejack nods "Eeyup, as the element of honesty, Ah can tell ya that they won't hate ya and that none of us 'ere do either" she says with a big smile.

Dynamo pulled away from the hug as he felt somepony place their hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw it was Rarity as she and the other girls arrived. After letting what Rarity and Applejack said sink in, Dynamo nodded. "I think I can trust you girls. Also if you said you were the element of honesty, then I have no reason to doubt you. Still, I want to be able to hear it from them. While I can take your words for it, what Orange and her parents say matters just as much, you know?" He asked looking at everypony present.

 

Quick closed his eyes and sighed. 'I didn't think that brat would mess up Dynamo this much. I guess he was right and he really did break my son. Though he's not as broken as much as he assumed. We just have to show that we will all be there for him. Just as much as he's been there for us.' He thought as he opened his eyes and looked at Dynamo. "Okay son, I understand. Come on everypony we have to head back to our house. Could somepony notify the others to head back?" He asked as he texted Gentle to know they were coming home. "Hey honey. Just wanted to let you know we are all okay. We're all heading back to the house. See you in a little bit." He sent the message and the group all walked for home.

 

Gentle checked her phone as she received a message from Quick. After reading the message, she smiled at the ponies present. "I got some good news. Dynamo and the others are okay and they're coming back now." She said as she sighed in relief.

The girls all nod as they walk with him "we understand, but remember, we're true friends and true friends stick together no matter what" Pinkie says with a silly giggle and then the girls begun to sing "A True True Friend"

 

Candy nods and sighs "please let him know that no matter what, whether he won or lost, we all still love him" she says

As the group walks home, Dynamo's jaw drops slightly at what Pinkie had told him. Tears began to form in his eyes as he was wiping them away furiously. He smiled softly and hugged Pinkie. "Thank you Pinkie. Thank you everypony. I think I needed to hear that." He said as he joined the group in singing.

 

Gentle nods. "We'll be sure to tell him when they get back. We'll have them explain what happened and be their for him. I don't have all the details, but I do know we're all going to need each other. Now more than ever." She said as she smiled at her best friend. Gentle gasped as she heard what Orange had said. "Is that true? Is that truly what your heart desires, sweetheart?" She asked with a grin as her eyes sparkled in happiness?"

 

After some time walking the group made it back to the house. Quick was the first to enter leading everypony back into the living room. "Hey dear, we're home." He said as Gentle got up off the couch and embraced her husband. She then walked over to Dynamo and hugged him tightly. "Oh, my baby. I'm so glad you aren't hurt." She said with tears in her eyes.

 

"I'm okay mom. You don't have to worry anymore." Dynamo said as he returned the embrace.

Orange nods at Gentle  "Y-yes" she says softly then when she sees Dynamo, she jumps up and runs to him, hugging him tightly, crying into his mane "D-Dynamo. I w-was so scared I-I'd lose you" she sobs as she continues to hug him, not letting go, not even if anypony were to try to take her off of him, she would refuse to let go. "I l-love you D-Dynamo, I a-always will, n-no matter what!"

 

Chocolate smiles as he holds his wife close, he then looks to Dynamo "We all do Dynamo, you're family, and family looks out for each other, no matter what" he says which resulted in Candy nodding her head in agreement before she pulls him in for a tight hug with Orange still attached.

 

Applejack smiles "See sugarcube"

After he ended the hug with Gentle, Dynamo was pulled into another hug with Orange. He felt something wet in his mane and realized that Orange had been crying. He felt awful that he made his marefriend worry over him. He wrapped his arms around her and returned the embrace. "Please don't cry, Orange. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel worried. I love you too Orange." He used one of his hands to rub her back in a circular motion. Hearing what Orange and Chocolate say to him and Candy's hug surprised Dynamo. He looked at Orange and her parents while he asked them the one thing he wanted to know. "I-I don't understand. How are you not mad at me? Don't you hate me or resent me? I lost when I was forced by Cosmic to risk losing Orange to him. He beat me and messed with my head on the thought of losing her. Even if he didn't mean it, I still feel as though I lost her in the end. I feel as though I don't deserve her." He said as he began to tremble slightly. "I completely failed. I said I would always protect your daughter and I couldn't even do that. I don't blame you if you hate me or never forgive me. I just...I just want to know why. Why don't you hate me? Why don't you hit me or say anything mean to me. I just don't understand!" He yelled, surprising everypony in the room. Tears began to well up in his eyes, but he fought them back from falling.

 

Gentle and Quick's eyes widened slightly and gasped at their son. They looked at each other and nodded before walking over to Dynamo. They each placed a hand on his shoulders as he looked up at them, gaining their son's attention. "Dynamo, I understand how you feel. There are time in our lives that we fail and we feel as though we let others down because of it. That's just a part of life we have to live with. No one is ever going to be perfect. You just have to do your best and work harder at it, but not to the point of working yourself sick because of it." Quick said as Gentle nodded at her husband's words. "Your father is right, dear. I was never that great of a dancer when I first started and I was denied by many sponsors. While I felt sad because of it, I knew crying and worrying about it would get me nowhere. I had to understand that I would never be the best, but I would always do my best and remind myself that I couldn't be better than everypony. Only I could be greater than myself. That also applies to you when it comes to playing others in video games."

 

Quick placed his other hand on Dynamo's head and ruffled his mane. "I see now that you are afraid to fail. It's okay to fail sometimes, but you shouldn't let that stop you. It'll always be with you around every corner. If you let fear stop you, then you'll always fail. It'll stop you from being you. It's also better to try and fail, than not trying at all. Nopony here will ever think badly of you if you fail. Even if you fail, we'll cheer you on and help you be ready for the next competition that you'll win. Do you understand, son?" He asked as Dynamo hesitantly nodded. Gentle smiled at her son. "You have to let go of this burden of yours as well. You don't have to do everything on your own. Before we moved to Canterlot, you only had your father and I. Look at how much things have changed since then." She said as she pointed to everypony present in their living room.

 

"You have two sets of parents who want what's best for you. You have a little sister who looks up to you and thinks of you as a big brother. You have all these ponies as friends who want to be there for you because they want to. Most importantly, you have a mare in your arms that loves you more than life itself. You are the light of her life, just as much as she is your light. You are just as important to her as she is to you. You can always ask for help if you ever need it sweetheart. You just have to let it go. Not bottle it up inside before it becomes too much for you. You are not alone in this now. You don't have to feel lonely anymore. What do you say, my son?" She asked as she saw her son on the verge of tears.

Chocolate walks over to him and places a firm hand on his shoulder "Son, we could never hate you, from what the girls have told us, you were forced into that deal by that bully, and he only won by cheating in the first place." he says then smiles at him "no matter what, we will always love and be there for you" he says.

 

Applejack nods "Ya see Sugarcube, that bully is the real loser here, he thought he had won by cheating at the game, then by breaking you down to nothing, but he didn't count on you having all of us as friends and family. Ah'd be willing ta bet ya that he hasn't got any friends, which is why he is jealous of ya" she says with a honest smile.

 

The other girls all nod, except for Pinkie Pie who was busy bouncing up and down while playing with Starling.

 

Luna goes over to him and smiles "Twilight and Celestia told me everything, while that artifact is powerful, it doesn't truly have the power to make dreams come true." She nuzzles him and smiles "I've also spoken to your parents, and I have agreed to let them take you and Orange out of school for the rest of the term and the holidays to go to Manehatten, as long as you get your work from your teachers and do it while you're away"

 

Orange nods before she nuzzles more into Dynamo's chest

Hearing everything that Chocolate and Applejack said was enough for Dynamo. He wrapped his arms around Orange and buried his head into her neck. All the pain and sadness he kept hidden inside was finally brought out, as he cried into Orange's shoulder. One tear was led by another as they cascaded down his muzzle. After a little while of crying, he finally calmed down and sighed. 'This hug, it makes me feel so warm. I feel so...so happy and loved. This is truly what I wanted for such a long time.' He thought as he took his head off of Orange's shoulder. "Thank you Chocolate and Applejack. I also thank you all everypony. I honestly thought I was alone and what he said was the truth. I felt I was being swallowed up in the dark abyss. You all were able to bring me back. I'm still a little sad, but with everypony here with me, I feel so much better than I ever had before."

 

Dynamo felt Orange nuzzle his chest. He smiled as he pushed her gently away, before he caressed both sides of her muzzle with his hands. "I'm truly glad I was able to meet you when I did, Orange. You gave me hope when I felt I had given up on it. Miss Luna was right about making making a select number of friends that truly cared about you. I can say now that I'm truly glad I have everypony here as friends. I'm also truly happy that I have you as my marefriend. You're not just my marefriend. You're always and eternally, my true best friend. I love you Orange "Sherbet" Sparks with all of my heart and soul. I'll always love you, no matter what." He said before bringing Orange into a kiss. After a few minutes, he pulls back from the kiss and looks at her with love and care in his eyes. He then brought Orange into a hug while he nuzzled her. 

 

Dynamo felt Luna nuzzle him as he nodded at what she had said. "I understand and thank you Miss Luna. I promise to get my work done during the summer break." He said as Gentle smiled at her son. "I'm so happy to have my son back to his old self. I'm even more happier on what you said earlier about my son, Orange. I'm really glad you feel that way about him. Should Candy or I tell him, or do you want to tell him?" She asked as she watched the young couple. "What do you mean mom? What were talking about earlier?" Dynamo asked with a confused look on his muzzle.

Orange blushes deeply and looks to Gentle "Y-you can tell him p-please auntie Gentle" she says softly as she looks back to Dynamo and nods "Y-you're my true best friend too" she says then looks to her other friends "Thank you g-girls, I d-don't know if I would b-be able to calm him if y-you didn't help" she says softly

 

Sunset smiles as does Trixie and Starlight "We all know what it's like to be bullied Orange," Sunset says with a soft smile

 

Applejack nods "and as Pinkie Pie says, a true true friend is there no matter what, we may not always have time to hang out, but we will always have time to help when needed"

 

Candy smiles "Oh, Rarity, we're going to Manehatten, do you think we could get a.." she stops "no nevermind"

 

Rarity smiles "A discount at my boutique there? Of course darling, just tell the mare there that I sent you, for both you and mrs Step"

Gentle nods and looks at Dynamo with a grin on her muzzle. "While we waited for you and the others to come back home, Orange had told Candy and I some rather, interesting news. You see, she told me that she wanted to marry you. I asked her to be truly sure and she told me yes." She said as Dynamo looked at Orange with a surprised look on his face. "D-Do you really mean that, sweetheart?" I mean I feel that we should wait, but is that truly what you wish for? Also when would be the right time for when that happens?" He asked as he smiled softly at her.

 

Hearing that they would be shopping in Manehatten, Gentle squealed with excitement. "This is going to be a really fun trip. Oh wait, we have to let Night know what the plan has been changed slightly. I hope she doesn't mind." She said as she pulled out her phone and began to dial Night Dancer.
