Quick frowned but then smiled at Chocolate. "That's good to hear and I don't blame you for worrying. If something like that happened to Gentle, I just wouldn't know what to do. I don't think Dynamo would handle that well, but thankfully everything is okay." He said as he watched his son was playing with Orange and Starling. He chuckled as he watched them draw and color. "I remember when Gentle and I would get him coloring books. Being able to color something in your own image. Now that feels nostalgic." He said with a smile. 

 

Dynamo smiled and chuckled as he watched Orange and Starling act like kittens. He scratched the top of their heads and he could've sworn he heard purring. His ears perked as he heard Chocolate address them. He looked up at Chocolate, before replying, "We're drawing lots and lots of kittens. I'm adding some pillows for them to lay down on. I'm also drawing faces on the pillows because they remind of something in an anime I watched. They are called the big dango family. Seeing this drawing and us reminds me of one big happy family." He smiled as he began to sing as he continued to draw. 

 

 

As he finished singing, he looked up and saw everypony looking at him. He felt nervous and looked down at the drawing. "S-Sorry about that. When I watch anime, sometimes I usually can sing Japanese. Sometimes the song can be really catchy that I try to memorize the song." He said nervously as he blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.

 

Gentle smiled and nodded at Candy's question. "Yup we can definitely live with her. Maybe during the trip we can see how it goes and then we'll have an idea when we move in. I'm glad she hasn't changed. She's always been generous and this is generous at it's best." She said as she looked at Candy in surprise. "I never knew about that. I've always wanted to get a pet around the house, but the decision was never set in stone. Dynamo loves cats and foxes too. I think getting a kitten would be a lovely idea." She said with a giggle.

Chocolate smiles and pats his head lovingly "It's alright son, I'm a bit like that myself, as is Orange" he says with a chuckle and he whispers to Dynamo "She has memorized the theme to Negima!?" he chuckles "In fact, I used to sing the openings to Noragami and Fairy Tale.." he then smirks "Even better, I think I can still play them on guitar" he winks

 

Candy smiles "I always knew she would stay the same": she then nods "Orange has always wanted a kitten but we didn't exactly have the space"

Dynamo felt somepony pat him on the head and he looked up to find it was Chocolate. He smiled and nodded. "I remember Orange telling me she loves the anime Negima. That's also pretty cool you and her can sing some anime songs as well." His eyes widened and his jaw dropped at what Chocolate had told him. "I've heard of both Noragami and Fairy Tail. You like anime too!? I can't believe it. That's completely amazing! That's also pretty cool that you can play guitar." He cheered as he grinned widely.

 

Quick chuckled as he listened to the conversation between his son and Chocolate. "I told you he would freak out if he found out you liked anime as well." He said to Chocolate with a grin.

 

Gentle nodded in understanding. "Oh I see. It makes sense when you don't want a pet roaming around the candy shop. At least now she'll be able to have her pet." She said as she raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "I was just wondering something. Do you and your family want to stay over for the night? We can have a sleepover and pack our stuff in the morning. Then we can go over and help pack your stuff and be set for Tuesday. Would that be okay?" She asked as she smiled softly to her best friend.

Chocolate chuckles "So you did, it doesn't bother me, I think it's great that  he thinks its awesome" he says as he pats Dynamo on the head once more then goes to sit next to his daughters "those are some really good drawings there Starling, I think you'll be an artist when you grow up" he says, kissing her nose.

 

"D-do you really think so daddy?" she asks

 

"Why don't we show the others and see what they think?" he asks as she picks up her drawing, "Candy, Gentle, Quick what do you think? Don't you think our little Starling is going to be an artist when she grows up?"

 

Candy smiled as she listened to what Gentle was saying "sounds great darling, I'm sure the kids will love it" she says then hears Chocolate's question and takes a look "Mercy me, that has got to be the most adorable kitten I've seen, I think she'll be an artist in no time, what do you think darling?" she asks Gentle

Quick smiled and nods his head. "I can imagine the discussions you two would have now." Dynamo closes his eyes as he chuckles and smiled from Chocolate's kind gesture.

 

Gentle smiled at the drawing Candy presented to her. "This looks beautiful. It looks well drawn and professional for her age. I think she would make an amazing artist in no time. That's also great to hear. You don't mind the others staying over tonight, do you dear?" She asked as she tried getting his attention. Quick's ears perked and shook his head at Gentle. "I don't mind if they don't mind either. I think it would be nice. Plus I don't think the kids would want to be separated after all that happened today." He said as he smiled at the interaction between the children. 

 

Quick took the drawing from Gentle's grasp and whistled in amazement. "This was drawn by her? You could mistaken this from a real artist. We have ourselves another Pablo Picasso in the making." He said as he handed the drawing back over to Candy.

Starling giggles and hides while curled up in Orange's lap, who was gently stroking her hair.

 

Candy nods as she takes the drawing back and gives it back to her "I agree," she says and smiles at her children and wipes a tear from her eye and then giggles some "Chocolate's going to be really busy with his hands full. I mean talking to Orange and Dynamo about music and anime, doting over Starling and Lilly and working at the store and at his workshop...I just hope he'll have enough time for me" she says with a giggle.

 

Orange, who was rather tired from the events that had happened that day, was resting on Dynamo, softly humming a song to herself.

Gentle frowned, but then smiled as she wrapped her a hand around Candy's shoulder. "It'll be okay. I understand what you're going through. When we move to Manehatten soon, there might not be a lot of time for Quick and I. With my dancing and him teaching others on his job, he might not have that much time for me. I know there'll be plenty of time for us to be together. At least you'll have me and Night. We can hang out and spend time together. You've got a good husband and I know he'll make plenty of time for you. All of us will be with you Candy. That's a promise I'll make to you." She giggled as she brought Candy in for a hug.

 

Dynamo let out a big yawn, feeling tired from everything that happened today. He felt somepony resting on him and he looked to see it was Orange with Starling. He smiled as he closed his eyes and wrapping an arm around Orange, pulling his fiancee closer to him. He nuzzled her and rested his head against hers. The humming of her song was beginning to lull him to sleep.

 

Quick looked at the sight and motioned for the others to look at the young couple. Gentle smiled softly. "Aw that's so adorable. That's the picture of true love, right there." She said as she took her phone and took a picture.

Candy nods "Thank you Gentle, I could always count on you two to always be here for me" she says and smiles at the sight, she goes over and users her magic to gently lift the three of them to the couch and then tucks them in with a blanket she finds. She kisses her daughters' foreheads "sleep well my babies, mummy will always be here for you" she says softly then looks up to the other adults "best let them sleep and not disturb them"

Gentle smiled at Candy. "Your welcome Candy. We'll always be here for you, just like how we'll always be there for Night and how you two will be there for me." She said quietly as she watched Candy place the three children on the couch. "Yeah you're right. They had a long day and they deserve the rest. Come on, let's make a nice dinner to celebrate Dynamo and Orange's proposal." She said as she walked quietly into the kitchen to start dinner.

 

Quick got up from the couch and walked over to the basement door. "Hey Chocolate, do you want to see what I work on from time to time? We can check to see if I have that part for your car." He said as he opened the door and bowed with a light chuckle.

Candy smiles and nods as she follows Gentle to the kitchen "Yes, a very special occasion calls for a very special dinner" she says as she looks through the fridge and pantry for ingredients "I think, maybe we cook up the meals that our parents cooked up for us  when our lovely husbands proposed to us?" she suggests.

 

Chocolate chuckles "Cheeky bugger" he says as he follows him to the basement "This better not be a trap, I'd hate for your son to lose someone he could discuss anime with" he laughs to let Quick know that he was joking and walks in "But yeah, I'd love to see what you work on and if you have the part I need"

Gentle gasped as she closed her eyes in remembrance of her proposal dinner. She opened her eyes and looked into the fridge with Candy. She smiled as she found exactly what she needed. "That's a perfect idea, and I know just the thing. My family made me a pork roast, with mashed potatoes and carrots. It's something my son craves every time I tell him what we have for dinner. What did your parents make when it came to your proposal dinner?" She asked as she got the ingredients out and began preparing dinner.

 

Quick looks up and give Chocolate a huge grin while trying to contain his laughter. "Well then come along then, good sir." He said as the two walked down the steps. As he heard Chocolate's joke, he faked a gasp while placing a hand over his heart. "Perish the thought. Knowing my son, he would go crazy not being able to talk about anime with other ponies. Especially in a town like this." He said laughing along with Chocolate. As they made it to the basement he guided Chocolate to his work station. The area had parts for cars and his carpentry and welding. "Here we are. Loads of parts to your hearts content. I also have my own model cars I collected over the years when I was a young colt." He said letting his friend take a look at the cars.

"You don't remember, you were there the day Chocolate proposed to me" she says with a giggle "Regardless, it was a honey glazed ham with fried king prawns with pesto sauce and a lavish salad" she says, licking her lips in remembrance of that dinner. 

 

Chocolate laughs "Knowing him though, he'd take my disappearance as some sort of omen" he laughs and shakes his head "Regardless, let us see" he says looking through the parts "Aha! You do have it!" he says as he pulls out the part he needed "and it's in perfect condition, I don't believe it, online these things cost a small fortune" he then smiles and laughs "I can hear his words now "Daddy! where's Mr Chocolate! Oh no! It's an omen! IT'S AN OMEN!"" he mimics Dynamo with a laugh "Poor boy, been through so much at such a young age" he says with a shake of his head.

Gentle twirled a piece of hair with her finger. A blush forming on her cheeks. "Sorry about that. It's been such a long time since then. Sometimes my memory is not the best. Sometimes it happens to my son and we get a good chuckle out of it. Now I remember that dinner. That sounds perfect and I remember it tasting so good." She said as her mouth watered at the thought of Candy's dinner choice.

 

Quick grabs hold of his work desk so he doesn't fall over from laughing too hard. "That sounds exactly like Dynamo would react. You also did a p-perfect impression of him. I sometimes do it m-myself." He said, trying to regain his breath. After pulling himself together he smiles. "I knew I had some lying around somewhere. I have seen them online where ponies just overprice them. When you work in the welding business, you'd be amazed at what you can find. Putting things together and then getting parts for other things. Some of these parts are for when I have to put walls up and other little projects." Quick looked down at the floor and nodded sadly. He then looked up at Chocolate and smiled. "It's true. Some of the things he went through I wouldn't wish on any other child. I'm glad he was able to stay strong through it all. We've done the best we could trying to help him through the difficult times. I'm just happy he met somepony as sweet and kind as Orange. They work well together and their good points make up for the other's bad points, or something like that."

Candy nods "It's quite alright darling" she says to Gentle and then her ears perk "sounds like our husbands are having a ball, I'm glad they are getting along well, but I always knew they would" she says with a smile "Truth be told, I wasn't the only lonely one, Chocolate was just much better at hiding it and dealing with it, bonding with Orange over anime and everything else" she says softly and hugs her best friend, nuzzling into her neck "I'm never going to lose you again Gentle" she says softly "I c-can't afford to, not again"

 

Chocolate regains his breath and smiles at him "He'd also most likely liken it to one of his animes" he says with a soft chuckle then begins thinking, he then shakes his head "I always tell Orange that yes she has flaws, but everypony has flaws, and hers is what makes her unique and special. I also told her last night that I am pretty sure that is her 'flaws' that is what Dynamo loves the most about her" he says, looking over the model cars with a whistle "there's a heap"

Gentle perked her ear and could hear what Candy was talking about. "I'm glad they are getting along. You'd think they knew each other and were long lost friends." She said while she giggled. She listened to what Candy had said and felt herself get pulled into a hug by her best friend. She frowned, but then smiled and returned the embrace. "And you won't ever lose me. I'm not going anywhere for a long time. I'm sorry you all felt lonely at times, but it's good to have somepony you cherish. It makes things not so lonely. Just like how I feel about Quick. While he can be goofy and be annoying, it's his goofy nature that makes me smile and know things aren't so lonely. Trust me, you won't ever have to worry about losing me again. It's the same thing when we see Night again." She said, nuzzling Candy. After letting go of the hug, an idea came to her mind. After placing the food into the oven, she took one of Candy's hands and smiled. "Come with me. I've got something I want to show you." She then led Candy and herself into her room and began to search. After a couple of minutes, she found what she was looking for and motioned for Candy to join her on the couch. "Do you remember this?" She asked as she opened the book to reveal that it was an old photo album.

 

Quick smiled and nodded. "That's exactly why I said Dynamo told me a lot about her. Trust me, he wouldn't stop going on about her. He told Gentle and I that her playful and childish nature is what makes her stand out. It helps bring out his 'inner child,' so to speak. He told me he felt as if he met his other half and that he never felt happier. I think that proposal and her being his future wife topped that." He chuckled and looked to what Chocolate whistled at. He smiled in pride at his collection. "Thanks and I'm glad you approve. I especially love my prized possession: a 1991 Mazda Miata. It was my very first model I collected. That, and I thought it looked like a remote controlled car."

Candy gaps and jumps around happily "Oh my gosh, our old photo album! I still have mine too" she says as she sits next to Gentle and looks through it with her "Oh my, remember this trip? It was the first ever road trip we took together, we went to the beach for summer break, in fact, that's where we met our husba...Oh my gosh, do you think they even remember?" she asks "They are old friends!" she giggles happily "Remember, Chocolate was 'drowning', Quick was panicking and I dived in after him, saved him and he kissed me when I was trying to give him CPR" she giggles, remembering that day well now.

 

Chocolate looks at the model "Now why does it look so familiar?" he asks, "I remember helping an old friend build it and it was his very first model as well" he says "I believe it was during summer break"

Gentle smiled widely. "You still have yours!? I can't believe it!" Gentle was looking at the old photos with Candy until they stopped on one that had them at the beach. "I'll never forget that trip. It was a lot of fun and...no way. That was when we met them! I remember you saved him and I remember Quick tried acting cool, only to fail miserably. Oh, he was such a dork trying to impress me, but he was still so cute. I wonder if they do remember. Now I'm curious to know. We can ask them later." She said with a giggle. She continued flipping through the old photo album until she stopped on four pictures. "Oh my gosh, these are the ones. I remember we each took a photo our our proposals and our wedding days. I still wonder how you were able to take a photo of Quick proposing to me. It was like you were some super secret agent or something."

 

Quick's ears perked and he turned to face Chocolate. "Now that you mention it, that sounds familiar. It was during the beginning of summer break. A friend of mine found this car and we wanted to celebrate. So we went to the shore and that's where I met Gentle and...wait. Did you have an accident and were saved by somepony?" He asked as his eyes began to widen slightly.

Candy just grins wickedly "Lets just say that a certain brown coated pony, who is now rather cuddly told me that it was going to happen" she says with a giggle and looks at the photos "They both were, if I remember correctly, it was because they were trying to act cool that Chocolate begun to 'drown'" she says, hugging her friend close.

 

Chocolate grins "Yes, yes I did, and it wasn't an accident, my "Friend" was trying to act cool for a pretty young mare and ended up pushing me in the water and landing on me" he says, his eyes then narrow and holds out a secret fraternity sign.

Gentle gasped as she had a good idea on who Candy meant. "You mean Chocolate told you where to find me and helped you find a hiding spot? That is very sneak. Very sneaky indeed." She smirked as Candy brought her into a close hug as she returned the gesture. "I remember Quick telling me that was all his idea. He said to act 'cool' and if that didn't work, try pretending to 'drown.' I guess he thought he was a comedian back then. I'm surprised his plan even worked in the end. I'm even more surprised that Chocolate went with the idea. He seemed to be more of the serious type back then. I guess Quick brought him out of his shell." She giggled as she remembered that day.

 

"That's exactly right. Me and my "Friend" were afraid to talk to two mares, so we tried getting their attention, which ended in poor results." He saw the fraternity sign  He narrowed his eyes and smirked as he put up the same sign. He then went through the motions of the fraternity sign and saw that Chocolate was doing the same. After the final sign, he gasped as it all came back to him. "Chocolate! Oh, my best buddy. I remember now. I never thought I'd see you again." He exclaimed as he pulled his long lost friend into a hug.

Candy smiles and nods "Chocolate always was the more outgoing one" she giggles then her ears perk up and she giggles "Took them bloody long enough" she laughs and hugs Gentle once more "We're going to be even more prouder to call Dynamo our son in law"

 

Chocolate hugs him and then stands back, "Let me get a good look at you old friend" he says, eyeing the stallion up and down "You know our wives are going to tease us about how long it took us to recognize each other, you know that right?" he asks, clasping his best friend on his shoulder and sighs "Now I'm even more prouder to call Dynamo my son in law"

Gentle giggled and nodded. "That's so true. Quick was very shy back then, but he always had his bright ideas." Gentle giggled and hugged her best friend. "We'll never let them forget about this either. The two of them weren't really that bright. Please don't tell them I said that." She laughed as she placed a finger over her muzzle. "I feel the same way. I'm so happy and proud to call Orange my daughter-in-law."

 

Quick pulls back from the hug for Chocolate to see him. He does the same as he smiled and chuckled. "You still look exactly the same as back then all those years ago. You've got that right. Our wives will never let us live it down. I still can't believe it's been so long since then. I guess we've both been busy we lost contact with each other. I had a feeling we could connect very well, even when we met each other again thanks to our children. Now it all makes perfect sense. It's still great to finally see you again, my friend." He said as he returned the gesture. "I know what you mean. Now I'm very proud to call Orange my daughter-in-law."

Candy giggles and nods "I still can't believe it took them that long to remember, I mean they were each other's best stallions at our weddings" she giggles and hugs Candy once more "but they better keep it down if they don't want to wake our darlings up" she says, "speaking of which, I wanna see them" she grabs Gentle's hand and they go back downstairs, and the sight that met them melted her heart.

 

Orange was snuggled up to Dynamo while Starling was in between them, cuddling her plushies cutely. It took everything she had for Candy not to squeal.

 

Chocolate smiles "I beg to differ, I wasn't so..cuddly back then" he chuckles "the perks of owning a candy store" he then looks around the store "Yeah, I knew something was up when we instantly clicked like we did, still can't believe we forgot each other, after all, we were each other's best stallion"

Gentle shrugged her shoulders. "Your guess is as good as mine. I guess it slipped their mind when they met up again." She giggled and returned the hug. "I wouldn't worry on them waking up. Dynamo is a heavy sleeper. Even during a loud thunderstorm, he sleeps right through it. Also sure, dinner's just about ready anyway." She said as she looked up at the clock and saw how much time had passed. As they reached the living room, Gentle smiled softly and almost teared up at the sight.

 

Dynamo unconsciously wrapped his arms around the two and pulled them close.

 

Gentle bit back a squeal at how cute they all were. She took her phone out once more and took another picture. She then sent the photo over to Candy's phone. "That's definitely a keeper. They'll never know as well." She smirked as she placed a finger over her lips.

 

Quick grinned. "Oh please, you were always more the serious one. It's thanks to me I got you to relax and have a good laugh every once in a while." He said jokingly as he chuckled. "I'm just as surprised as you are. I guess over the years we seemed to have forgot about each other. I'm sorry about that. I would never want to forget my best friend. I'm just glad to see and have my best friend back after all this time. I'm also glad knowing it's been going well for you as well." He looked to his friend with a smile. He then sniffed the air and his mouth began to water. "Something smells good and I think I know what that is. Seems like dinner is ready. Ready to head for the kitchen?" He asked as he was already at the bottom step of the basement.

Candy giggles and nods as she goes to check on the ham "Mmm this brings back so many memories" she says with a smile and takes it out to add another layer of honey glaze then checks on the prawns.

 

Orange stirs softly but doesn't wake up, and Candy smiles "Should send those pictures to Night, she'd love them, she's always had a soft spot for little ones, do you remember, I think it was the same trip, she helped a poor mother buy medicine for her sick foal"

 

Chocolate chuckles and laughs "When I say cuddly I mean this" he says, patting his belly and smirks as he smells the air "Honey glazed ham, king prawns? That's what Candy's parents made for us on our engagement night, remember?"

Gentle smelled all the food they made and sighed. "It sure does. I've always made it on separate occasions, but this one is the best of all. Although I will need to make sure of our children so they know what their in for when they are married." She smiled and winked at Candy. "Oh, most definitely. I'll probably send them tomorrow or when we meet her. She could be a blabbermouth at times." She giggled as she remembered more of her friend. "Oh yeah, I remember that. She was always so generous, no matter who it was. That's one thing I would always admire about that mare."

 

Quick chuckled as they head up the stairs. "Oh yeah, that's right. You always reminded me of the Pillsbury Doughboy every time I poked your belly." He smirked as he poked Chocolate in the belly, eliciting a chuckle. "I do remember. You invited Gentle and me over and it was an amazing dinner. I think we also went over what we were going to do for the wedding. I also smell a pork roast. That's the same dinner Gentle and I had during our dinner proposal. I think it's for the children's proposal today." He said as they made it back upstairs and went into the kitchen. "Hey honey. That's a great idea the two of you did for tonight's dinner. I think the kids will love it. Is it almost ready?" He asked as he came up from behind Gentle, pulled him towards her and kissed the top of her head.

 

Gentle smiled at the affectionate gesture her husband displayed. "Just about. Only a few more minutes and it'll be all done." She leaned into the hug and nuzzled Quick.
