The Human world hasn't been the same since the last magical outbreak. And now, everything was wasted to ruin with buildings destroyed, zombies crawling everywhere, and everyone fighting for survival. Only time will tell if those left here were really meant to make it...

The city police station was one of the few standing buildings left, let alone buildings with fortifications. Most, if not nearly all of the police force had either been taken, or turned into recruits of the undead horde.

Nearly all, because Officer Star Crest was left. The young woman was fresh out of the academy for a few months before the outbreak, and now she was possibly the only officer left alive.

Her trusty lightweight armour and pistol had served her well in the outbreak, and she had used her training and resourcefulness to turn the police HQ into a small fortress. Food was running short, but she was holding strong for as long as she could. Hopefully the supermarket nearby hadn't been fully looted, so she could check for supplies.

The police station itself was at the heart of Canterlot City where most of the other desolate buildings lie. In fact, there were only so many actually distinguishable landmarks anymore after the fallout from the nuke that had landed. The only other landmarks was the super mall that was miles north, the grocery store near the police station, a few 7-11s, a McDonalds, several houses, the parks that were just outside the heart of the city, and the forest that led deeper from the park itself...

And of course, the coastline that was several miles off to the west of the city--the beach was mostly untouched. However, due to the radio activity of the bombs that dropped, the water near the beach had retained most of the leftovers making it not only hazardous to travel there for any living people, but powering up any zombie, turning them into a glowing red radioactive zombie that was much more powerful. However, the same could also be assumed for whatever weaponry that had been dropped there with the radiation potentially causing certain....aspects of weapons to change.

But any smart man wouldn't dare travel there, as it was much too dangerous. The best one could do was simply try their best to survive where they were...

Rhetoric gripped his families truck's wheel, in stress. He had spent all of last night packing his families farm into the largish van and now he was about to leave the farm.

He didn't want to but it wasn't safe here anymore, last night proved that enough. Just thinking about it nearly brought him to tears again "It's ok Rhetoric.... the whole world has lost someone... you just gotta put your foot on the gas and find some more people, come on old chap, don't want to Zombies to getcha"

With a heavy sigh he pushed the gas pedal and brought the van out of the decaying farm, going towards the city in hopes to find more survivors, and to forget those he knew who hadn't survived.

@@The Down Trotten,

As he drove into the City, things would seemingly grow much bleaker and darker. The buildings seemed to only look more and more destroyed the closer he got. All the while, a feeling of dread would hang over him as he made his way down. Low groans and breaths came from zombies as a few stragglers sort of stood in the road where he drove.

@@Unicorncob,

The City had been held off pretty well. Not that many walkers were around since the barricade. However, that didn't mean going outside was safe in the slightest. Especially with how much of a hassle it would be to actually get there, and get back without being bit into. Unless she was packing Rambo levels of ammo, it wouldn't be easy with just a pistol.

Star loomed over a map of the city on the break room table, which depicted backroads and alleys as well as main streets and buildings. She traced her finger along it, going from the police station she was using as a bunker to the supermarket where, hopefully, food and water was still residing.

"If I go down this alley... and through this yard... yeah, they usually don't hang out around back that way."

She walked over to the couch and grabbed a backpack, containing a flashlight and a crowbar sticking out of the top, as well as a small collection of medical supplies. It left plenty of room to carry the food and water she'd need.

She walked over to a backdoor, leading out to the yard surrounded by a chainlink fence and topped with barbed wire, the gate padlocked shut. No walkers in sight.

She slipped out the gate, locking it behind her, and slunk through to the back alleyway.

Everything seemed just fine for her. None of the walkers were near the area, and good thing too. However, it was quiet....too quiet almost. To the point where one would be on edge and constantly looking around in fear of something jumping out at them at any given moment. She had to be fast.

He didn't expect this to happen.

Ever since the magical outbreak, Copper had been fighting for his life.  So far, he had a small pistol, in which he had 240 bullets left, a supply of food in his bag which would last a couple of weeks by himself, and a spirit to keep himself going.  He knew that he might not last long, so he had to preserve what he had left.

Right now he was walking around in an alleyway, keeping an eye out for anything that can help him in the long run, and any zombies so that he could get away as fast as possible.

As he would walk down the alley, there would be some quiet for the most part. However, up ahead, he would see walkers that blocked the path for an exit. They didn't seem to notice him, though, but if he got any closer, it would be likely that they would in fact notice...

Draco slowly wandered through the decrepit city, the buildings in shambles, the only thing walking the streets openly was him and about 5 zombies. He took a deep breath and looked at the decaying faces of the dead, he growled under his breath as he forced his way through the street, gun raised to swat down any attacker, he weaved through the broken vehicles, staying undetected by the undead. He heard glass break in a stable building beside him and he instantly swings his gun barrel to the building emitting the sound, he gulps softly and says in a stern voice," National Guard, please respond if your alive, otherwise you will be fired upon!" He trained his barrel to the doorway and slowly approached the building.

Rhetoric wanted to ignore the walking dead that he was staring at on the road, but realistically, he would draw attention to himself and if he didn't take care  of the few zombies on the road now, he would probably have to deal with a lot of them later.

"Alright then fine..." he sighed to himself, almost standing up in the drivers seat to see how the van's snow plow was doing "Good enough." taking a deep breath he turned his stereo up, the most inappropriate  songs on.

Revving the van a little, he did one last thing before plowing over a few zombies, he turned on the windshield wipers for good measure

Rhetoric winced at the scream, as he heard it over his music. It almost was as bad as the blood he was trying to clean off his windshield, it slowing washing away in sickly drops.

"Welcome to to apocalypse Mr Rash..." he groaned in exhaustion, keeping his foot on the gas lightly, rolling into the city slowly. His goal was simple, find some people he could trust, build himself a new family and get the hell out of dodge, maybe even find a large settlement of survivors, and if that failed... Maybe    just a cabin in the woods somewhere, where he could be safe from the mindless shamblers.

Draco looked at the door in fear as he heard scratching on it. He sighed and turned away to walk some more, he was hoping desperately that it was in fact a human, unfortunately it wasn't, and even less fortunately, he had attracted the attention of a few walkers, he then heard the loud demonic scream. He gulped as he saw all the zombies around him turn in his direction, he slowly raised his weapon and started slowly backing up, after about three steps he bumped into a walker and he was grappled, but thanks to his military training, his reaction speed was impeccable, thus he grabbed the Walker's arm and slung it over his body. He then took out his pistol on impulse and fired three rounds into its head, that attracted more attention to him, so ultimately, he ended up running down the street, M4 swinging as he sprinted across down the street, he hurdled over debris and sliding across hoods, he then saw a vehicle approaching, he started waving his arms and yelling for the driver to stop while he kept running, about 20 zombies behind him.

Rhetoric blinked once, then twice. Over the soft sound of his music and the hard faint gurgle of zombies he swore he could hear the tell tall signs of a human voice. Slowing his car down he scanned the area and lo and behold there was indeed a human, and one seeming to ask for help.

Not wasting the opportunity, Rhetoric hit the gas and pulled up next to the stranger and pushed open the passenger side door, his old hunting rifle now in hand pointed at the stranger "Alright, you have about 5 seconds to decide to drop your weapons in the cab and hop in or get eaten by Zombies, and sudden movements and I won't be responsible for my panic"

Star swore under her breath as she took in the number of walkers along the front doors. There were far too many to take on - even if she did manage to down them all, the gunshots would no doubt attract even more, and she'd be pinned down or worse.

Though, the strange noise got her attention as well. Metal tearing flesh apart? Walkers couldn't use weapons...

Star squinted her eyes, and indeed she saw someone disguising themselves in a bush and wielding a combat knife. Very retro.

Walkers couldn't use weapons... perhaps this was a potential ally? It was worth a shot. If they attacked, then it was worth a gunshot.

"Um, excuse me...?" She murmured.

She watched, amazed at how precise his knife throwing was. Was he trained? She never saw him at the police academy, and he looked far too young to be military.

She wanted to reach for her gun, but she didn't dare let go of the cart this crazy man had stuck her to. So she headed his advice and didn't let go.
