Indicus glanced over and the disguise was indeed Shade's, Indicus used an old military trick of his to try and get Shade's attention. Indicus used a magical pulse that they would use back in the Marines to notify each other of the location of the sender. The pulse was unique to each pony as to identify the sender quickly. Inicus hoped that this would be enough to grab Shade's attention if he was not already aware of them.

A low chuckle could be heard as the pony walks over to him "Indicus, Indicus, Indicus...Fancy seeing you here, and with a lovely lady of all things.." he says with a gleam in his eyes, "I never thought you'd move on after what hap..." his eyes then spot the necklaces "Those necklaces, there's only one pony I know who was capable of such a thing.." he says

 

Arcania giggles

Indicus sighed knowing this was going to come up eventually. "Yes myself and Arcania are together and have been for a few days now." Indicus laughed  darkly, "Funny how it took a pool of blood and Arcania to get myself together after all these years. Anyway join us and we can talk about everything that has gone on so far, do a little catching up."

He nods with a smile "Well as long as you two don't mind" he says sitting down, "you never answered my thoughts on the necklaces though" he says with a inquisitive look "The only pony I knew who could make these, is..well..she's dead, I told you the story long ago" he says with a soft sigh, remembering his lost love.

 

Arcania winks to Indicus before nuzzling and kissing Shade on the cheek "not so dead after all my dear" she says as she drops the disguise and Shade's eyes widen and his jaw drops.

 

"M-my queen!" he exclaims as she quickly dons the disguise again, he bows "I th..I thought Sombra had.."

 

She cups his face in her hooves and smiles "No my dear, I was exiled, I chose it over death or being used by him. I was nearly dead after a century of near starving and a timberwolf attack, but Indicus here saved me and well..we're together now"

 

He smiles and looks to Indicus "Well, I suppose congratulations are in order, just treat her right and you and I won't have any problems"

"You know me Shade, I protect those I care for with everything I have. Our time in the Marines showed you that. Hell I practically tore a Griffin compound apart to free you guys." Indicus smiled taking a bite of a deli ham sandwich. "So how have you been Shade?"

Shade smiles "well work's been kind of slow so I kind of took up mercenary work, it helps pay the bills and it can be quite exciting too" he says as he looks at his queen with fondness "and yeah I do know you'd do that" he nods "though it's been difficult on finding a special pony" he says which elicited a giggle from Arcania and he arches an eyebrow "I know that giggle, Crystal, what have you two got planned?"

"Dude it's not my plan it's all on her." Indicus laughed. "It's good to know your doing well Shade. As for me I'm just doing a job for the princesses but besides that my two pensions take care of food and I have plenty of extra money for anything I could want or need."

Shade nods "I believe you Indicus, it's just hard to tell what she's up to when she has the mischevious smile of hers" he says with a chuckle and Crystal simply whistles and pretends she didn't hear "Mm oh it's nothing, just a little...match-making" she giggles

Indicus laughed and shook his head, "Well whatever she's up to I'm sure it will be interesting." Indicus felt quite glade he was not the target for her plans. "Your welcome to have whatever food here you want." Indicus took another bite of his sandwich enjoying the calm day with his friend and marefriend.

Shade sighs "Me and my big mouth, well then my Queen, who is it you are trying to hook me up with?" he asks, crossing his forelegs before he starts on some of the salad and sandwiches "mmpf don't mind if I do" he says with his mouth full.

 

"Oh just a lovely known mare as Lady Rarity" she giggles

 

Shade spits out his salad "Say wha..? Rarity? But she'd never fall for a lunkhead like me"

Indicus laughed, "Dude I have followed Rarity and her friends for awhile during my time under Luna. The one thing I learned about her is she is a huge romantic. A few complements about her and you have a first date and from there your personality will take care of the rest. That is if you have an interest in her of course."

 

Indicus took another sandwich and started eating it. "Besides you think I thought Queenie here was gonna take an interest in me? Hell I never thought Dusk would be interested at first. Point is that you will never find out if you don't try."

"A-alright then, where is this Rarity then?" he asks and begins to stand up to leave but Crystal uses her magic to force him down.

 

"Not just yet Captain, you'll get to meet her soon enough, if we're going to the Gala, then so are you, and you're going to need a suit" she says with a giggle, knowing full well how he felt about suits and things like the Gala.

 

"The G..Crystal..Your highness..My Queen..." he grovels

 

"No amount of grovelling is going to get you out if dear"

Indicus laughed, "Trust me after having to go to the Gala for many years now along with other fun events I can say it may get less bothersome with time. Though getting the blood out never stops being a pain but alas those days of contracted kills are done for me."

shade grumbles a little "Well..I suppose getting to meet a beautiful mare is my concession for going and stuff.." he says with a slight chuckle, sitting down and eating another sandwich "Honestly, I should have known that my Queen would be up to something like that"

Indicus laughed, "This maybe the first Gala in a long time I may actually enjoy myself thanks to Crystal. And perhaps a few drunk nobles. But none the less the event will be made better because you'll be there. A nice change from just playing politics with ambitious idiots."

Crystal giggles and nuzzles him "Will be rather interesting to see how the male nobles react to me" she says and finishes a sandwich.

 

Shade looks at her "They won't have a chance, I'm sure Indicus would immediately intervene, I know I would and if what I heard about Rarity and her friends, they would too"

"Thanks to my connection to Luna as one of her now former spec ops commanders. I am part of their games but yes I'll keep the rabble off you both. It shouldn't be very hard they are not all the brightest ponies around. The Elements might intervene if something happens as well."

Crystal nods "as well my connection to the Princesses," she giggles and sighs softly as she remembered more of her youth with them "They were like sisters to me, do you remember Shade?"

Shade smiles and nods "I do indeed, I also remember having to guard you when you were an adorable little filly" he chuckles, making her blush

Indicus looked towards Shade with a smile, "You sound like you have quite a few of her childhood stories to tell and by her blush I imagine they are of the type she would rather not tell herself so please do share." Indicus's smile seemed to grow as he spoke hoping to hear a story that Crystal would not tell normally.

He laughs "Mostly me apologizing to the Princesses mother and father for her chewing on or sleeping in their manes and tails" he chuckles "Then there were the times, they cause chaos throughout the palace after calling Celestia "Sunbutt" and then let us see..oh yes, there's the one when all three of them fell asleep in the Queen's mane and tail, she didn't have the heart to wake them, so she went about her business, letting them sleep, it was rather adorable"

Indicus smiled warmly, laughing at the antics. "That is something Queenie here forgot to mention. "Indicus imagined the scene in his mind and laughed some more. "You three were quite the trio, ah the memories of younger years. I remember hanging out with a couple friends a griffin and a earth pony. We would regularly play pranks, and race each other, then when we got older we would usually end up angering quite a few people, with our antics. I can't tell you how many times we got each other out of some situations. I can say personally that getting caught trying to start a fight between two well known rivals is not the best of ideas." Indicus chuckled, ruffling Crystal's mane. "Personally I like your antics more."

Crystal smiles and blushes with a giggle "Can you blame us? Her highness' mane and tail was so soft and fluffy," she says, nibbling on a sandwich and smiles some more and nods "Well you won't be starting any more fights unless necessary, do you hear me dear? Especially once we get married and have our little ones, understand?"

 

Shade chuckles :Ouch dude, she's got you whipped and on a leash"

"Aww, but watching nobles challenge each other to an endless number of stupid looking events they call duels is fun and so easy to do, and sometimes you can watch noble houses crumble into chaos in the process." Indicus raised his hooves up in playful surrender. "Alright I promise I won't instigate nobles to duel me or their peers, purely for my enjoyment." Indicus looked at Shaded knowing he was going to regret what he was about to say, "She's quite the kinky mare isn't she?"

Shade laughs "Oooh you're going to regret that later on mate, she'll turn that on you sooner or later" he says with a wide grin.

 

Crystal giggles "Now, I may allow you to duel others or to incite duels, but only if it is totally called for. I won't have anything ruin the Gala for me, do you understand? You two may not like it much, but the Gala was always something special for me, and the fact I get to spend it with my two oldest friends, my fiance and my most trusted lieutenant, it means a lot to me"

Indicus nodded "Okay I can respect that. If it means so much to you I'll keep myself behaved and at most react to any hostility if it is anything significant. But If there is even a threat made towards you I make no promises that I will play nice. I can take threats all day long but if it is to those I care about then someone will have hell to pay."
