Shade nods "Same goes for me my Queen, but you already know that.." he says and smiles at her "with the two of you getting married having foals, Indi here is going to have his hooves full with looking after you and the brood, so..." he says looking to them "if it is alright with the two of you, I'd like to be your personal guard again, just like old times, only..slightly different"

Indicus started eating a cupcake as he enjoyed the peace, the loudest noise being the excited laughing of foals playing. It seemed the future would hold plenty for the trio. But he felt ready as he could be to face whatever was thrown their way. Be it children or nobles.

Crystal smiles and nods "I would like that very much Lieutenant Shade, You'd be better than anypony the Princess would send to guard us" she says softly and nuzzles Indicus, "I had that dream again love, not the bad one, but the one about our little ones, it was wonderful"

Indicus nodded in agreement, "You are the most qualified out of anyone I could name to act as guard for Crystal," Indicus patted Shade on the back. "Nice to have you back."

 

Indicus looked at Crystal with a smile, "That's nice, I'm glad you dreams are happy, it is nice to see you smile." Indicus kissed Crystal.

shade smiles and nods "t'd be an honor, so, got any plans for this week?" he asks and Crystal smiles and giggles

 

"We're going to Canterlot, Indicus has some work he is going to do for Tia and Lulu" she says as she nuzzles Indicus lovingly

 

"Oh, what kind of work? Guard giving them trouble still?"

"Fun stuff like investigating rumors of abuse of power, or at least ponies posing as guards doing some bad shit. Though it is a find and capture mission not find and kill, something that I have not done in awhile. They want me because they can trust me and I am well known to both guard units." Indicus replied

Shade nods "Wonderful, well did you hear, your old ward is now the leader of the Night Guard?" he asks with a chuckle and Crystal nods with a giggle "Yeah, we met her lover, he was travelling and came across our house, we invited him for some food and drink, quite a strange one" she says with a giggle

"Suffice to say I'm quite proud of Night Wing, she made it to the top through hard work and persistence something I'm glad she picked up on. I wonder if she likes to sneak up on the cadets at the most awkward times, I know I found the reactions quite fun. Well Fortunately I get to pay her a nice surprise visit and if I know Luna she has not told anyone about my visit." Indicus smiles "This will be fun."

Shade chuckles "Yes, I'm quite proud of her too," he says as he takes another cupcake "and I'm proud of you two as well, you Indicus for finally getting over the dark side of yourself and finding love again, and you my Queen, for persevering for this long and of course for finding Indicus and finidng your true love" he says

 

Crystal smiles and nuzzles Indicus "I think we are both good for each other, I help him get over his dark side, just like he does the same for me"

Indicus grinned, "Awww, is the big strong stallion getting a little soft in his older years?" Indicus laughed. "Though seriously, thanks man you are one of few that I care what you think of me."

 

Indicus nuzzled back, "I'm inclined to agree if you hadn't arrived I would be doing quite a bit of mercenary work, and probably have another incident given time."

Shade chuckles "You're one to speak mr Steel Heart, i swear, we all thought you were the toughest of us all, and when you went rogue, even more so" he says then shakes his head "you're welcome mate"

 

Crystal smiles and sighs "I'd be dead without you darling" she then kisses him

Indicus laughed remembering the nickname well, "I'll let you in on a secret," Indicus moved a bit closer. "I can still kick your old ass from here back to Thalemn." Indicus continued his laughter before looking at Crystal, "Well Crystal your alive and well and in a relationship with one messed up stallion." Indicus put on a small smile.

Shade chuckles "I have no doubt old friend, no doubts what so ever" he says as he nibbles on another cupcake and Crystal giggles"Careful there Shadey, you'll get fat" she teases and nuzzles Indicus and giggles "Well aren't we all a little messed up in our own ways darling?" she asks as she kisses him and snuggles close.

Indicus laughes, "Shade getting fat never thought it was possible." Indicus held a smile as he continued, "I guess your right there Crystal, we've all been through a lot and that has messed with us. But we're here and together that's what matters." Indicus snuggled up to Crystal and returned the kiss. Some time passes and Indicus looks at the sun starting to get lower in the sky. Figuring enough time has passed and that Rarity was finished with the order he decided to voice the thoughts. "Crystal, I think Rarity is done or almost done with that order by now."

Crystal nods with a smile "Indeed, I believe you would be right darling" she says as she stands up, brushing the crumbs off of her, "Come on now Shadey, time for you to meet your doting mare" she says with a chuckle, which makes Shade squirm and b lush a little "Must you put it that way Crystal?"

Indicus packed the remainder of the food up and put it in the storage space. Looking at Shade Indicus nodded, "Yes she dose, you should know that by now Shade." Indicus lead the group to The Carousel Boutique. When the group arrived Indicus opened the door the bell ringing and sat on the nearby couch. 

 

Rarity as expected arrived shortly after with a smile and recognition. "Hello, I assume you are here to pick up your order." Rarity activated her magic pulling back a curtain with the two dresses. The first deep blue with a purple hem and diamonds scattered about like stars. The second Black with silver accent. Rarity smiles proudly, "You should try them on dear see how well they fit and how it actually looks. Besides, you are fully welcome to drop the disguise since I know who you really are there is no harm in it. You can always put it back on if we get other guest."

 

Rarity then notices, Shade. "Aw who might this handsome stallion before me be?"

Crystal giggles as she drops the disguise and picks up the first dress "Which one?" she giggles then shakes her head "This handsome stallion is Lieutenant Shade, not only an old and very dear friend of mine, but he is also old friends with Indicus. Dear it's okay you can drop your own disguise" she says.

 

Shade bushes as he is complimented, drops his disguise, bows and gently kisses her hoof "Lieutenant Shade, personal friend of Queen Cocoon and Major Indicus, as well as personal guard of theirs, at your service, ma'am"

Rarity blushes, "My my, he's quite the gentlecolt to. I am Rarity Belle seamstress and as you probably know Element of Generosity." She stares at Indicus, "Though some are more stubborn then others."  Indicus just gives a cheeky smile. "This gentlecolt here is the exception to the common rule that Marines make horrible ambassadors."

 

"I see," Rarity gestures towards Crystal. "Changing rooms are in the back dear."

Crystal smiles as she walks past her "Treat him well darling, he was my closest friend next to the Princesses when I was growing up. He's also my ex fiance, from before...well you know" she says before ducking into the dressing room, coming out seconds later wearing the first dress "It fits like a glove darling and it really brings out my features"

Rarity seemed to ponder something for a moment, "Well if he would not mind being my plus one for the Gala in a week he can, as you see I hate going alone and most of the other girls have a date and I would like to perhaps acquire one of my own. Till now I could never find a stallion that I would be honored to go with."

 

Indicus on the other hand was looking at Crystal her blue and purple dress did in fact complement her. It was also as if Rarity conspired to punish him by making it hug her tight enough to be both noticeable and comfortable while also proper, and the dress was doing a very good job. In that moment he saw nobody but Crystal, the diamonds sparkled contrasting the blue and purple of the dress as well as her shiny black chitin, mane and tail.

Shade blushes but smiles and bows "I would be greatly honored to accompany her ladyship to the Gala in a week, I'm fairly sure her highness would find a way to drag me there, so having such a lovely mare by my side will make it enjoyable for once.." he then nuzzles her lovingly "Oh and you won't have to worry about that snob Blueblood, he's too cowardly to try anything with Indicus and myself around, he knows we would have special concession to punish him." he chuckles.

 

Crystal smiles and nods as she then ducks back in to the change room, then comes out wearing the other dress

Now Indicus could swear that his conspiracy theory was true. The second dress while simpler somehow managed to enthrall him even more accenting her even better and the silver made it all pop. When Indicus could speak he said, "Rarity, Crystal are you two trying to kill me by sheer beauty?"

 

Rarity blushed a little at Shade's response returning the nuzzle. "Why thank you dear."

Crystal giggles and blushes "I have no idea what you're talking about dear" she says as she goes back to the dress room then comes out with both dresses folded up and draped across her back. She giggles at the sight of both Rarity and Shade blushing.

 

Shade smiles "I'll stay here with the lady if you tow don't mind, I already know where the house is, though if you two are planning on having foals, you may want to find somewhere bigger"

Indicus laughed and shook his head, "Meet you there then Shade. As for my home, being free of zoning laws is quite nice if I do say so myself makes expansion easier." Indicus started to walk out standing next to Crystal. "Well we'll leave you two to mingle, enjoy yourselves." Indicus walked out of the building and headed to their home.

Crystal giggles and nods as they leave the boutique. "I'm glad they like each other, Rarity really needed a loving and doting stallion to be with and I couldn't think of anypony better than Shade" she says
 

Shade blushes "So miss Belle, would you care to tell me a little about yourself?"
