Crystal was in the kitchen, dancing around and signing as she cooked up a feast for the four of them "Mmm I hope Shade and Chyrssi's tastes haven't changed over the century, this is a special honey too" she says to herself, tasting some honey that she had bought from the honey changelings at the market the other night. "Mmm the best honey there is" she says as she then also chews on some fresh honeycomb.

Indicus walked over to the kitchen finding her dance to be very cute and put his arms around Crystal's waist having gained his senses rather quickly after waking up. "Well everything smells quite good here Crystal." Indicus whispered in Crystal's ear

Crystal giggles and smiles "Thank you sweetie, I hope I've cooked enough" she says, offering him a hot mug of fresh coffee and a fresh bar of honeycomb "Straight from the hive sweetie, the bee changelings really make wonderful honey and honeycomb"

Indicus took the coffee and smiled. "From the look of it you made plenty and it will be interesting to try changeling honey for the first time." Indicus kissed Crystal again making sure to shower her in affection.

She giggles and hugs and kisses him back "It's quite delicious, especially fresh" she says as she then sits down to wait for her sister and her daughter to come out from their own room. "Try dipping it in your coffee, it makes both taste really nice"

Indicus looks at the comb and dips it in the coffee before taking a bite and hums in delight. He then takes a sip of his coffee and finds himself surprised that it tasted quite good and not too sweet like he feared.

Crystal smiles "See, it's almost a perfect blend" she says as she begins serving up the food and drinks for the four of them, "So, I was thinking of maybe showing the two of them the little garden you planted for me to keep before we moved to the palace, maybe give them something to look after to help keep their spirits up first?

Indicus smiled, "Sure sounds like something they might enjoy if only to keep their minds occupied for a bit before the reality of being the only two survivors of their hive really hits them. Besides I was never good with plants always a hunter myself."

Crystal smiles "Wonderful, well they should be awake soon, neither of them were ones to stay up long past sunrise" she says with a giggle, and just as she did, out comes both women "Mm the food smells delicious Crystal" Chrysalis says with a small smile and then looks to indicus "You act as if you've never seen a naked mare before" she remarks with a small giggle

Indicus was quite surprised more then anything with the fact Chrysalis had nothing on and part of his mind noted she looked quite beautiful. Then his mind registered the statement Chrysalis made. "No I just was taken by surprise that you decided to go all natural." Meanwhile the more base part of his mind quite enjoyed the show and his body responded quite accordingly to his displeasure. "Anyway lets eat, rather not let good cooking go to waste." Indicus said trying to ignore his awkward problem while admonishing himself for that part that still behaved like a young teen.

Chrysalis nods "Oh indeed, Crystal's cooking has always been nice" she says as she picks up a piece of honeycomb and dips it in her coffee, Shade does the same,"you two flatter me" she says softly before she begun to eat her food. "so girls, I was thinking that after we have eaten, we will go out to the garden that Indicus had planted for me, it is quite beautiful and I believe you'd love some of the flowers that I am growing there"

Chrysalis smiles and nods "Sounds wonderful dear sister, and this honeycomb is delicious, reminds me of home, did..did the others make it out of the empire?" she asks softly

Crystal nods "Sadly, there were some losses, but yes, a majority of the hive escaped and even found a way to somewhat assimilate into society until the Princesses announce our true assimilation at the Gala"

Indicus smiled and looked at the women before him, "The announcement should go pretty smoothly barring some loud nobles and paranoid citizens. But either way it will enable Changelings to come into the open undisguised without fear from the guards at the very least. Though I imagine a small restriction on disguises in public just to ease the minds of the non-changeling citizens."

Indicus looked at crystal with a grin. "I have a feeling you knew about Chrysalis's state of dress?"

Finally Indicus looked over at Shade Step, "You doing okay Shade?"

Crystal giggles "Maybe I did and maybe I didn't, Chrysalis is her own grown mare sweetie, and if she chooses to strut around the house in nothing but her fur and chitin, then it is entirely her prerogative dear" she says with a giggle again and continues to eat before looking to her beloved daughter.

Shade smiles and nods "I'm doing fine uhm..do I call you daddy, uncle, king.. What should I call you?"

Indicus cast a quick smirk towards Crystal. "Fair enough, it's not like I'm complaining either way."

Indicus caught hold of Shade Step's question and pondered it for a moment. "Honestly you can skip the king thing I may have to get used to the title but that can happen later. Just call me whatever you feel like, I'm not going to force anything."

Shade smiles and thinks as she nuzzles him "Well I like the idea of calling you daddy, it's like I have two now" she says with a wag of her tail and goes back to her food "It is nice to know that mummy was looking for us"

Indicus returns the nuzzle with a hug that familiar feeling when Sugar Drops called him daddy reappearing. "Then we have our answer my daughter." Indicus kept a smile on his face the warm feeling in his belly very pleasant. "Of course she would nobody will leave family behind if they can do anything about it and once we found out where Chrysalis was we went the next day and I'm glad we did."

Crystal nods "Hoping to find you and Chrysalis along with the others, were my driving force to staying alive and eventually finding Indicus here" she says with a loving smiles, holding his hand in her own, "and soon...you may have some siblings"

Shade squeals "R-really?!"

Indicus looked at Crystal with a measure of surprise, the news quite unexpected even for him. "Now that little piece of news was unexpected." Indicus kept holding Crystal's hand trying to figure out when and how she was expecting.

Crystal giggles "I didn't say I was expecting just yet dear, just that in the future our Shade will be a big sister' she says with a giggle and kisses his nose before going to lay down on the sofa with a soft sigh "Heard any news from Shaded and Rarity, love?" she asks indicus

Indicus blushed finding his mistake to be a bit embarrassing especially when he should have known what she meant. "No mail yet." Indicus then found a mist flying at them and it materialized into a scroll, and dropped into his hand. "Well speak of the devil."

Indicus took a breath as he opened the scroll and read it aloud,

"Dear Crystal and Indicus, 

Shaded felt Shade Step's presence yesterday and figured that your rescue mission went well or at least it went better then it could have. So I decided that I would send you a letter on both of our behaves. We are doing good and so are the children and Arachnia. Sugar Drops and Bountiful Dawn miss the both of you and want to meet Chrysalis and would probably be delighted to see Shade Step as well. Shaded also want's to say he loves Shade Step and can't wait to see his daughter again.

Indicus rolled up the scroll and put it in a pocket, "Well there it is. Seems everyone can't wait to see us and they are doing great."

Shade smiles and nuzzles into Chrysalis' fur "I miss daddy Shaded, we used to play a lot together when I was a little one" she says and nibbles on her bar of honeycomb "and he is with miss Rarity? I'm happy for him, I heard about her through some of the hive who escaped,she's very generous and kind"

"Rarity is quite generous, she is also a very skilled seamstress so I see some nice dresses in your future." Indicus replied.

Chrysalis nuzzled Shade Step back having always found her niece to be quite nice to be around. Though once Chrysalis heard Rarities name she remembered the mare from the failed invasion, but what had her interest is that the mare was a seamstress and a devious smile crept up on her face. She would get Indicus back for flustering her yesterday and she was sure Rarity would love to play a part in her little scheme.

 

(Don't know why but I always thought Chrysalis to be the teasing type especially if she found someone she liked and was easily flustered. also messing with Indicus is quite fun because I always torment my characters.)

Crystal nods and smiles "Oh and Arachnia is working with her now, so you'll still get to wear your favorite type of silk" she remarks and sighs softly "It is good to ehar that Rarity is alright with the fact that Shade is my and Shaded's foal"

Chrysalis's smile widened and she let out a cute squee. Crystal was right to say that Spider Changeling silk was her favorite material. She loved the way it was light as a feather to a point of almost feeling as if it was not there, could survive almost anything and breathed very well. The shredded shirt and pants were made from the silk and it took a lot of abuse for them to get so tattered, were her clothing made of anything else she would be without anything on once her sister and Indicus found her.

Chrysalis looked at Indicus, "The silk also gives decent protection from blades for what it is if weaved correctly, so you might want to look into getting and outfit made from the stuff along with me, it would survive better then what you wore under your armor yesterday." 

Indicus considered it looking to Crystal for a moment before nodding, "Sure we can both ask about getting such clothing made."

Crystal giggles "That squee of yours was so adorable Chryssi darling, and you should really see and feel Indicus when he isn't in anything but his fur, and his chest, my stars, so perfectly muscled yet still soft and snuggly." she says and kisses Indicus
