It's different than part 3. More slice of life episodes than adventure episodes, and going ORA ORA is usually not the answer. The answer is whatever Josuke comes up with. I like him more than Jotaro, he's nicer and smarter. But Jotaro is more badass, so there's that.

 

Also, Kira is a really freaky and disturbing villain in all the wrong ways, I love it.

The first two parts (the 2012 series) are the best, IMO. I have no idea why the author dropped the format of the first two and turned the series so much more formulaic and episodic. =/

 

I will say that the episodic nature fits Part 4 better than it did Part 3. But Part 4 has its issues. Most notably Kira's father. He has to be the most annoying character of his trope ever. And his existence is an annoying plot device. Like you know he only exists so they can keep on creating more stand users for the protagonists to fight. I knew this the instant he flew off in that stupid photo.

 

I can say I was really enjoying Part 4 until Kira's father came around. I *still* enjoy it, but only when he is off-screen. I just hate that character so much. He's like Babadi from DBZ, but so much worse. I didn't even think that was possible, but along with being a weak, commentary villain like Babadi, he also is a completely obvious plot device, plus he somehow commentates loudly in clear view of the protagonists and no one even notices... and then he got away in the most recent episode even though they did notice him... He got away, why? I don't even know. I wish this were a parody series so his stupid photo would quickly float off into a paper shredder.

Love it. I like pretty much every character in this part, and the Stands are getting more creative and I like all the rock references in their names lol. Got a total Persona vibe too, I could see the manga of this part having been an inspiration for Persona 4.
