Liklihood of generation 4.5

I think it's pretty darn high. After all, generation 1 and 3 both had them, and gen 4 is the longest running, most successful generation, so why would Hasbro usher in a brand new generation 5 without doing a style change, perhaps with new centralized characters, in a midway .5 gen? Maybe with the CNC as focus, or maybe with Guardians of Harmony.

 

What do you guys think - will gen 4 be given a gen 4.5 before generation 5 comes along?

I thought they now use a different Animation program for the Series, Toon Boom Harmony.

 

That could technically be Gen 4.5.

Even though, it would just be a continuation.

That's just for the 100% pony movie, I don't expect them to change animation overall .

 

I also think that instead of jumping right to G5 (as many predict), well get a G4.5 due how crazy successful G4 is compared to the previous ones, and at least G3 had G3.5. Perhaps we'll get new central characters, perhaps not, but they'll make a slight change in design, but it'll still be the same Equestria
