Staasi nods "And now you're engaged and expecting a litter of pups, life works in mysterious ways for sure. I had actually met Midna while looking at houses here a year ago" he says, picking up a chip and chewing on it with a smile "the food here is great and the atmosphere is just as great too" he then chuckles "Plus the military vet's discount"

"So it seems, a lot can happen in a few days." Amion laughed, "The Military Vet discount is the best part about serving. Though the working conditions could use some improvement. None the less life seems to be looking up for me and you so far."

Staasi smiles and nods, "Mhm, best not to focus on the past but on the present and the future" he says as he starts to munch on his fish and looks around the bar and grill, "Have you caught up with any of the others from our unit Amion?" he asks in mid thought.

"I was able to keep up with Tannus, the old bull's doing pretty good decided like we did to retire. Our handler Roxy, she is still in the service though we talk via email or Skype chat when we can which is not too often."

Staasi nods "Remind me to get their contacts before night's end" he says, sipping on his beer and smiling at all the familiar faces at the bar and grill, the atmosphere was peaceful and he then checks his phone and smiles as he shows Amion a photo that Midna had sent him of her and Elera having fun at the festival at the park

"I'll do that." Indicus took a look at the photo and smiled. "Seems like they are having fun, Midna also seems to be smiling wider then when we first saw each other earlier today." Indicus took a bite of his food and another sip of his beer. "Funny thing is I was quite the mess when I came back home. I was siting in my apartment drinking on Elera's birthday and honesty it was pure chance that I found her, a song on the wind."

Staasi smiles and puts the phone away "I know the feeling, and I heard that song too, and when Midna heard it, she was so sad, she could feel the sadness in Elera's singing" he says and picks up a chip "It all worked out in the end though, and Midna sure does look really happy in the photo, and I'm really glad that Elera has started making plans to spend a day or two with her each week."

"I'm as happy as you are that things worked out as well as they did. It could almost be called destiny but I have never been inclined to believe such. " Amion smiled it seems things were looking up and it could only get better from there.

Staasi nods and closes his eyes "So, you going back to college? I'm thinking of doing so myself, just not sure what I want to do in college yet though" he says and sips more on his beer "gives me something to do other than work"

"Actually I am officially a journeyman carpenter and I am looking at some construction contractors and even have an interview. Figured I was decent with wood and after coming out of the military I decided to get my journeyman certification so I did. Now I am going to continue carpenters school part time." Amion realized he might as well have said yes. "Well there I go again over explaining." Amion said with a chuckle.

Staasi nods "I've just been spending most of my time fishing" he says with a smile "You ought to join me some time, it's very relaxing and you can get some nice fresh air and drink a few beers"  he smiles "and also if the catch is really good, you get enough fish for a few days, and with Elera being half otter, I'm guessing she loves her fish.

"Yea we will have to fish together sometime, it has been years since the last time anyway." Amion smiles, "Your not wrong about how much Elera likes fish. I think the only thing she likes more then fish is me."

Staasi laughs and shakes his head "It wouldn't surprise me one bit if that was true,  the way her tail was wagging when were at the Catfish, it was like she was a little girl in a candy or toy store, rather adorable if you ask me"

Amion chuckled, "Girl in a candy store is a very good metaphor for it. I remember the first time I took her to a seafood restaurant on her dad's recommendation. He warned me that she may or may not take me to the ground in happiness. Of course I thought it was a exaggeration. It wasn't she did manage to tackle me and she even kissed me right there."

Staasi just laughed "I can believe that, but..is it true she has a heart condition? I would hate for something to happen to her because of it, you best make sure there's a way to contact you if something happens, oh and I heard it from Midna, she does seem worried about that"

Amion nodded, "I know only so much but from what I do know as long as she keeps seeing a specialist she should be fine. I really should figure out if she has found out more from her doctor in the time I have been gone."

Staasi nods "I hope things will get better with you here now, but just keep an eye on her please" he says softly and smiles "Also, it would be best to not let her get too excited as it could trigger an attack from what I've been told"

"Don't worry I'll be careful with Elera. I care for her so there is no way I'll let her come to harm." Indicus drank some of his beer and finished his food. "I aim for her to live a good long and happy life."

Staasi smiles and nods "Same with me and Midna, I've been making sure she has been taking her medication every day and going to see her psychologist every fortnight" he says and finishes his beer, "hey, how about we go fishing tomorrow? or at least sometime this week?"

Amin nodded, "Sounds like a plan Staasi." Amion finished his beer and decided to order another for the both of them. "We should go fishing once or twice a month if this little trip goes well give us time to clear our heads."

Staasi smiles and nods "yeah, it'd also give the girls time to themselves and us time to catch up and maybe discuss any problems we may be facing without worrying our girls" he saysand finished his fish and chips

Amion took a sip of his beer. "I figure time to sort out any problems we have will help both us and our respective relationships greatly." Amion watched the TV in the room for a moment before he turned his attention back to Staasi.

"Time can help, but sometimes we will need each other's help, we're brothers in arms mate, can take the fur out of the army, but not the army out of the fur" he says with a chuckle and closes his eyes once more "Anything good on the tube?"

Amion shrugged, "Just the same random bullshit different day mostly social media reports more then anything and they don't have local news on so not much as far as things I care about. But that is just me."

Staasi chuckles "And that my friend is why I gave up on watching mainstream media a while ago, I don't even really watch youtube anymore" he says and nibbles on a chip, He opens his eyes and smiles more "I miss the days of our youth, when both television and music were good"
