Clover Heart 978 May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 Yes. Season 3 has been in production since September of last year, and several of the crew have confirmed this, including the director, the composer and Twilight Sparkle's voice actress. Clover Heart 978 May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 The real question is how good will it be now that Lauren Faust is leaving? She's leaving? I haven't found anything that says she'll be leaving in season 3. Do you have an article or other source that states this? 1 You're the most basic of jokes. Magicon 468 May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 Oops. Misposted that. Meant to say that she is remaining as a consulting producer instead of everything else she was in Season 1. Sorry.

Just wanted to make sure I was understanding right. I do agree, though, that the show was kind of lacking in the second season without Faust as the executive producer. It's still a good show, but I find that the quality of episodes is now more contingent upon the individual writer for that particular episode (Whereas in season 1, they were all just so dang good.) For example, M. A. Larson and Meghan McCarthy have written some of the better episodes in season two, in my opinion. Conversely, I feel that, for example, Merriwether Williams has written some of the weaker, less memorable episodes. Hopefully they keep on with some of their better writers in season 3. Clover Heart 978 May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 Lauren Faust left the show after Season 1. She didn't leave the show, per se. She stepped down from her position as executive producer. She's still a consulting producer of the show. 1 You're the most basic of jokes.
NavelColt 22,881 May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 (edited) The REAL question is which of these is this thread? A: This an intro thread, in which case, here's your generic reply, customarily fit to your specific needs by Discordyourlife Inc. B: If not, why is this in the intro forum? Looks like yet another 'OMG WHEN'S SEASON 3' topic to me, thus far. Edited May 10, 2012 by ~Chaotic Discord~

Did you really like Season 1 more than Season 2? I loved Seasons 1 and 2 but I absolutely adored Season 2. Such a great season. I always get exited for my marathons on Season 2 but not so much for Season 1. I'm sure that they will do fine without Lauren Faust. As long as they keep the good writers such the ones you mentioned I'm sure it'll do fine. This one is a tad less creepy. Wouldn't you agree? Like, I felt they could have been better executed, or that the plot of certain episodes, in general, was unnecessary. Season one wowed the pants off me, but I didn't get that with season two. But I still really like the show. I agree, I think the show has proven itself without Faust as its executive producer, and I'm expecting more great things to come. You're the most basic of jokes.
