Realistic Neigh sounds

What if the ponies sometimes used realistic neigh or snort sounds in the show,i mean, they talk but still make animal sounds like in The Lion King and Kung Fu Panda and many other similar movies.BTW,I just saw today A Dog and Pony Show, and i swear that in the part where Twilight rears up she neighs like a real pony, but her mouth was closed, which was weird.

Err. You mean using terran equines as the sound effect? No thanks Posted Image

The last thing we need is Fluttershy's squeaking voice replaced with a hoarse whimper from a horse

It's one of the many awesome things they do in cartoons about fictional, antrhomorphic characters based off of IRL stuff, like maybe, vehicles, or animals, in this case ponies.

Personally, it's a very small aspect that I'm really glad that they do, it shows that they are NOT lazy with their work (as if that wasn't obvious already :P).

Oh...and it also reminds us that these are horses that we are watching.

There are a few specific instances where they use real sound effects of horses, but these are usually for indicative effect rather than accurate portrayal. For example, when Pinkie Pie reacts to tasting rainbows in The Sonic Rainboom, she whinnies. A neigh is heard when Twilight goes inside Fluttershy's house in Luna Eclipsed. Twilight also makes a very quiet sheep Baa when she sheepishly shies away in The Secret of My Excess after Spike predicts her gift.
