What was powering the game machine Button Mash used in HaHD?

Some sort of magical battery pack? Electricity? (which we've seen since the first episode, but since the game machine was outside, I doubt there were outlets in the area) What do you guys suppose powered the game machine?

We've seen Earth Ponies using torches (or flashlights for the colonial types) so presumably they do have electrical batteries as well as mains electricity.

in episode one, when Twilight first enters the library, the lights are off. then they switch on instantly. no magic. But offscreen. presumably electricity. Not to mention the machines she had in her basement in "Feeling Pinkie Keen"

I was thinking a magical core that is sorta like a battery but far more reliable. They can be recharged super fast and can last a while, so they are quite efficient. If that is what they use.
