The Evil Three

I was listening to the song "getting stronger" (link here), and it made me make another episode idea. This one is probably going to be one of my best ideas ever, so here we go;

After hearing of the defeat of Tirek, Chrysalis and Sombra from her brother, Celestia decides to hold a banquet in honor of peace being achieved in Equestria. During the banquet, she gets "Three gifts of peace" from a stranger; she receives a broken computer, a burning flower, and a plastic pony skull. However, when the party is over, the souls of Tirek, Chrysalis and Sombra take over the items and wreak havoc upon Canterlot. In order to defeat them, Twilight and the gang have to find the soul of starswirl the bearded.

First off, it's completely random that all of a sudden Celestia and Luna have an unmentioned brother. Two, it would be really unnecessary for him to have killed them (I assume kill because you say their souls take over objects like they were dead), especially since Tirek is already imprisoned in Tartarus and Sombra is either already considered dead, or if you follow the comics reformed. Three, why those objects, and especially why a broken computer when neither of those three are technology based villains nor do they come from the human world (Twilight had never seen a computer until the first EqG movie so computers most likely do not exist)? Fourth, why do they need the soul of Starswirl the Beared of all things? Like where did the idea that they require it come from, and why do they suddenly need it now when it's never been needed before (especially when they've got several alicorns, Discord, the changelings, etc on their side)?

1) I mentioned Celestia's brother in a previous forum that I couldn't find since the site was updated.

2) Well, not really KILLED as much as it is their souls were taken directly from their bodies.

3) I came up with those objects when I listened to the music. If you listen closely, you can hear computer static and fire.

4) They need starswirl the bearded's soul because they need his guidance to get the other souls back into the bodies that they came from.

Also, in the end, it turns out that one of Celestia's workers took the souls and put them into the objects as a plan to rule Equestria.

Hopefully that helps.

I'd find it kind of hilarious that Tartarus was so terrible in security that someone could just break in and kill a prisoner without celestia finding out XD

1, that's still not helpful especially if your current plot relies on a character from a different plot that we don't even know about on this forum.

2, that's kind of nitpicky since they are still effectively dead, their bodies do not have their souls inside. The only difference is that there's no normal cause of death and it's more obvious that by the end the ones who lost their soul are going to be put back. And besides defeating Chrysalis who is on the run, they don't have any reason to celebrate the defeat of Tirek and Sombra because they were already considered defeated.

3, that still doesn't make sense in-universe. There is no good reason why one of the former villains would want to take over a computer, or why some stranger in Equestria has a computer or why that stranger is using a computer of all things to channel one of the former villains.

4, that still doesn't explain why Starswirl of all ponies is the one who's needed directly. I mean if they find a way to call upon his soul, there must already be some book or character who knows about soul magic, so why wouldn't it already have that information. And why didn't Starswirl write that information down?

Also, now I have more questions because there just isn't enough information to understand where you're going with this plot. Is Celestia's brother the stranger who sent those weird gifts? Is he the main villain? Because otherwise it's very convenient timing that someone else just so happened to immediately react to the villains losing their souls and have those items in preparation and delivered to Celestia. Why is the stranger doing this? Like what does the stranger get out of this situation besides pure anarchy? It's not like the other three villains are the kind to actually work for someone else and put them in charge of Equestria, plus it's not like the stranger has proper leverage. They're either ghosts who can overpower all of Equestria. What can the stranger do, make them alive again? It's win-win either way. And your plot description doesn't even really give us some sort of character arc. Who is the story actually about, how does this story develop them, and what kind of message or theme is this story trying to give? Otherwise this story could just be conflict without actual substance.

I mainly mean in the context of how Gamer talks about the plot. She just suddenly has a brother who apparently offscreen defeated three major enemies who weren't doing anything threatening at the moment.
