Site pony.squares.im got closed on June 30th

It was a pony roleplaying site from 2012 to 2017. Since I joined MLP fandom almost exactly a year ago I was there almost everyday, made a few friends, roleplayed and had fun. Then I had a little break, wanted to come back today and saw it was closed, rip xD Dunno why, I asked on Facebook and they didn't tell me.  Any of you were using the site too? I'm kinda sad at the moment when I found out about this :c

(+ do you roleplay on some sites other than here on forums?)

That's a shame. I never used that site, but I know there were people that did.

As for your question, I don't do any roleplay here, but I have a couple Twitter accounts that I've done RP on (though I haven't been active on them for a while).

I did use it no so often to be "active member of community", but today was very sad.

When i wrote "pony" in Play Market search in October of 2015, Brony Square app was about first in list(i had old android device so many mlp games was no supported and didn't display in search). There was first time i did know about brony community, a few days earlier i think that i'm alone crazy mlp watcher. To check it's not joke i did install and registered there. It was very happy(or some emotion like this) to me, i can talk with these strange fans of kids cartoon, which they really love. But there was some language and cultural barrier, i had never communicate with english-speaking people in internet before, so i opened to me a  large russian community in vk.com, when i can discuss mlp in break between memes. So my visits of Brony Square became less and less... Of course , sometimes i opened it again, to check what's new in abroad community(because it's some different with russian), to talk with my new friends, to post photo and to train my english skills (they was very low). I didn't use for a long time (about a half of year), and tried to access brony.squares.im today to change avatar... But cant yet.

I lost a lot of contacts with brony from all the world, lost my rope to the community, and i'm very sad. Now i so want to donate, or to help in develop or moderating, just to resurrect this project.

There was place where i first time learn about teracts in Paris at 13 nov 2015( i just wake up in the morning and opened the app; this time another people around me don't know about it), where i answer "good night" to "good morning" because of time zones, where i learn spoilers about new episode before release in Russia, when i feel myself important.

Now, when i  moved from brony to mlp fan i'll use mlpforums instead of Squares.im . But can i?...

Yeah .... well I do have some news for you.

They kinda tipped their hat on MLPF and on the Poniverse Discord server, but the spiritual successor for that old site is Canterlot Avenue. It's a Poniverse site that is currently being developed and register to none other than Feld0. It's using phpFox

To answer whether or not I RP. I am sitting on a few EQE applications for this site, but I'm holding back until plans for the new site are unveiled because I'm not about to waste time here if it moves and poof ... no canon RP. I am waiting until I know the plan going forward. Is EQE going to make the transition? Don't know. 

Opportunity cost and all that.
