BC Children's Hospital - Making Christmas Merrier

Great work, everyone, on actually making it this far! Considering that this event didn't have weeks of organization put into it, it warms my heart to see $300 gathered together by the MLP Forums community for no other reason than to buy Christmas presents for sick children. I talked to the hospital's secretary on the phone about our progress, and she's quite grateful for what we've done.

Now, for an important note: I've extended the deadline for contributions and donations to Sunday night. This is because I'll visit the hospital to personally present a cheque and TallBrony91's copy of Sonic Colors on Monday. Whatever sum of money we've raised by the time I leave home will be included in the cheque. So you've still got a couple of days to make a donation if you'd like!

Lastly, I'd like to put a greeting card together on behalf of MLP Forums and especially those of us who made a donation. It's the perfect place to print a copy of FS's beautiful poem, and I feel we have the chance to make the card something sweet and personal. I'm just going to need a good artist to help in creating the card, and I could go print it sometime on Saturday. Please let me know ASAP if you're interested in this opportunity.

Im depressed, I can only give 10 bucks, I hope it helps

It's not a contest, or anything. Give what you can, or feel comfortable giving; no more, no less - the fact that you're donating anything at all to complete and utter strangers that have no connection at all to you without asking anything in return is the significant - and praiseworthy - thing here.

It's great that we've managed to get to $370! I'm glad to have contributed, and have no regrets in doing so.

Are we going to be doing the same thing next year? I certainly hope so, I don't mind one bit sending money to make children smile :)

If we do, I'll spam Feld0's PM inbox with poetry see if I can donate again.

Yes, we're doing it again next year. And next year, I promise to organize it better and provide a better incentive to donate beyond pure goodwill. ;)

The final $50, by the way, are comprised of donations from myself, my sister, and her boyfriend. I've gotten all the money together in cash, and I'll take a picture of it tomorrow so you can all see a physical representation of what we raised before I hand it over to the hospital.

I'm really proud of you all for actually making this fundraiser happen, after the ball got rolling in the comments of someone's status update.

Better than an unfinished "collab", or a Secret Santa where half the participants drop out.

And people say we're creepy?
