Anyone else into UrbEx?

So, very recently I've gotten into UrbEx [urban Exploration]. It's not the safest of hobbies, but it is an amazingly interesting one.

For those who don't quite understand, UrbEx is the hobby of exploring things such as dis-used, derelict, old buildings, tunnels, hospitals, underground bunkers, etc. The main point of it all is just to explore and share reports online to other people, but another part of the hobby is photography for a lot of people who do it.

Tomorrow, me and MrMeep are going to be exploring an old, retired and buried train tunnel that isn't too far from my house. As far as I know, few people actually know about it. Earlier this week I pinpointed it's location by exploring the general farmers fields where I got told where it approximately was.

Here's two quick snaps I got [Was completely shattered from the ordeal of having to walk along various public footpaths and farmers fields xD]

Infact, I might edit this post and make a little report about it tomorrow evening or something, haha.

But for now, here's a youtube video of someone else exploring the tunnel I'm going to be going to tomorrow!

But I was wondering if anyone else does it?

I don't but only because there is nowhere like that near where I live. I'd love to give it a try, it looks like fun.

I can't make signatures.

Sooo... yeah

One of my old friends and his buddies used to do this. They explored this old sanitarium and an abandoned theme park here in Connecticut. I'll have to see if I can find the site where he uploaded all the pictures.

i'd love to do something like this! But where i live is a 'posh tourtest city' so anything they don't want people to see they hide it -_-

The only thing i've ever found is air raid bunker :( and that was to explore >.> there wasn't much!

It's quite popular. I guess I'm pretty lucky because I live in a town full of lots of really old abandoned wool mills and textile mills and such. xD People also apparently go down drains o.o but that would scare me, so I think I'm gonna avoid that side of it! haha

I know alot of you are from the US so I can't really help with places, but I've heard of a fair few good places to go in the UK.

I found their website. They called themselves Urban Underground. These are all the places they've been to. Clicking on them will show you the pictures taken at each location.

Especially check out Lincoln Park. I love those roller coaster pics.

The park one is awesome o.o Kinda weird thinking that we make things like that, then just leave them to rot away and get overgrown by the earth again...

The Norwich State Hospital page also has a bunch of great pictures.
