Spike/Fluttershy episode

I think I know the perfect episode for these two and what might be a great advancement for both characters. The idea is Spike is spending the weekend in the Dragonlands to hang with Ember(he's been visiting more often thanks to being the Equestrian ambassador and learned about Gorge Surfing from her) Twilight is letting him go alone because 1. She trusts him greatly and 2. She knows he'll be safe with the Dragon Lord. 

Spike: Shout out to my girl Ember for teaching me about dragon sports, what, what? Have a great weekend everypony, Spike out! (The girls a tad bewildered)

Rainbow Dash: That escalated quickly..

Twilight: He does love his time with Ember, she is the first dragon friend he ever made.

While Spike is heading out to catch an airship to the Dragonlands, Fluttershy stops him half way.

Fluttershy: I..I know this is last minute but...(shouts which causes Spike to fall over) Can I come with you?!

Spike: umm, you know I'm going to the Dragonlands, right?

 

Fluttershy: That's why..I want to go.

 

Spike:....okay who are you, and what have you done with Fluttershy?

 

really the best way for her to finally get over her phobia is to head to the Dragonlands and try and make dragon friends other then Spike, I'm sure Ember would like her.

I'm afraid THAT idea won't make much sense. A better idea for these characters is an episode where Spike helps Fluttershy completely overcome her fear of dragons so she can befriend Ember.

Don't forget, in Dragon Quest, Fluttershy hasn't completely overcome her fear of dragons. As the main article in MLP Wiki states, "She again displays her fear of dragons. Fluttershy pointedly refuses to watch the Dragon Migration with her friends, despite Twilight's coaxing. It culminates in Fluttershy pushing past Rainbow Dash and jumping out the window, fleeing the scene before any of them could follow her."

We need another episode to make up for this and to further continue Fluttershy's development.

Sometimes to conquer your phobia you must face it head on, son better way then to go to the heart of dragon country? Who knows, she might have a wild side never seen, one that might get her "honorary dragon". Something like 

Prominence: Fluttershy, we accept you as one of our own.

Plus it would be funny to see Dashie's look when she finds out that Fluttershy of all ponies got made an honorary dragon.

Agreed that Fluttershy's fear of dragons is one of those loose threads the show needs to tighten if not tie up entirely before the end of the series. It's not necessary to have her go to the Dragonlands to meet Ember, but some sort of meeting at some point between the two of them would make for an interesting premise.
