"Alright, everyone on my heels!" Rhett ordered. With that, the four took off. However, the noise they were making caught the attention of the Virals. The noise they were making could be heard for miles. He noticed Twilight was having a hard time keeping up, and if he didn't do something, she wouldn't make it. He slang his rifle over his back and fell behind a little, and without a word, picked up Twilight in his arms. 

Applejack saw this, and as much as she was scared for Twilight around these Humans, there were more pressing matters to deal with. Whatever was making those screams, they sounded like they were in a lot of pain, and as she dared to say, insane even. She picked up the pace to keep up with their much longer strides, keeping close to Peter.

Twilight yelped a bit when she was picked up by Rhett, but she was quick to realize what was happening, and then, she seemed more grateful than anything else. She did hate how useless she was right now. If she wasn't injured she could just fly or gallop and not weigh Rhett down... But she was, so she just had to go with it.

Peter, meanwhile, was glancing around rapidly as he ran, keeping an eye out for any viral that might decide to come into view, though he hoped they were far off enough that wouldn't end up happening. Just in case, he kept his grip on his MP5K tightened as he ran, ready to shoot at anything that seemed like a threat.

As they continued running for what felt like hours, a small incline started to appear, and soon, the house. Rhett sighed internally and dropped his speed a little. "We're almost there, up the hill." He said.

Applejack also sighed in relief, but the closer they got, so did the screams. Against her better judgement, she turned her head towards the way they came and saw something that was one of the most terrifying things in her life. There was about two dozen of them, and they looked the same as Rhett and Peter. The only difference was, they were all bloody and their clothing was ripped to shreds. They were running as fast as they could, screaming and snarling. She looked away and made a final effort for the house, hoping they wouldn't grab her hooves in a split second.

Peter was basically putting his all into making it to the house, knowing death was basically only a few feet behind them, and gaining. In fact, he was quick to notice one of the Viral’s were getting way too close to Rhett, and he acted, by swiftly aiming his MP5K, and firing a few rounds into its head, causing it to crumble to the ground. Even suppressed, the gun was still quite loud to those nearby.

Twilight immediately flattened her ears against her head, finding the loud sound quite startling. Yet true fear only took over when she looked behind them, like Applejack had, and saw the... Monsters, for lack of a better word, chasing them. A look of terror came across her face, as she began to desperately hope they’d reach the house in time.

Rhett didn't even noticed the Viral Pete had put down only inches away from him, he just kept running. After a few more seconds, they reached the front door of the house. Rhett kicked it in and put Twilight down on the floor. "Twilight, Applejack, get up to the attic! The hatch is next to the bathroom up the stairs." He pointed towards the staircase. "Pete, get ready to light up anything that comes through that door!"

Applejack followed Rhett's orders, seeing as he was probably the most fit to give them at this point. She was scared out of her mind, and a little sick from seeing Peter...kill that thing. She didn't know why, but it felt as if the Human had just killed one of his own kind. Now wasn't the time to bring it up, though. She helped Twilight up the stairs, who still seemed a little woozy.

Peter swiftly nodded his head, making sure he was still well stocked on ammo, before quickly turning towards the door and taking aim, prepared to, as Rhett put it, 'light up anything' that came through it. This... Was going to be interesting.

Twilight groaned, but she allowed herself to be helped by Applajce, though she stumbled a bit here and there as she fought against the pain in her head. Honestly it felt like someone kept taking a hammer to the inside of it, but she couldn't afford slowing down.
