My Little Pony: The novel. What kind of book would you like read this in?

I'll keep this question open ended with no poll.

This is not a discussion about what the book would be about.

Please only discuss what format the book should be.

Would you like a few hundred page soft cover novel to get as much content as you could? A novel comes with a few options as well; such as audio books and e-books. This disadvantage is you get no visuals from an IP that thrives on visuals.

Would you like the book as an extended children's style book? This way you get plenty of pictures and visuals. The problem is obvious however. The story might not be deep or long.

Would you like a comic? It is sort of a mix between a novel and children's book as you get visuals and story content. Some people don't like reading things in comic format though.

Another format?

What would you prefer?

How about one plot, multiple perspectives from the Mane6. Ooorr...comic/manga would properly display things, and I think MLP has evolved past normal story books, and a comic would feature the action better than a novella.

If it were a novel, would it start as though everypony knew who the Mane6 and the secondary characters were? Would it reintroduce everypony?

Although if it mattered, I suppose it would give a short preface about the mane6 that you could skip if you already knew about the show.

You mean as a prolouge? I wasn't asking what it was to be about, just how it would be laid out.

Foreword, you mean? They are synonyms I believe, so you wouldn't be wrong.

My vote is for graphic novel...the difference between that and a comic book, is well, comics tend to be short while graphic novels tend to be longer and better drawn. Just my vote.

If you want me to respond, please quote me.

I apologize for any inconvenience but for the time being my MLP stop motion project is on hold.

How about they make a toy set that comes with a storybook so that kids will actually want their parents to buy it, and while the kids are playing with the toys, the parent can read the story to them. The book would have to be simple enough so the kid can read it themselves too.

Oh wait, they've already done that.

It could happen, but it'll probably be one of those novels that are like the fanfic versions of all the episodes.

Even then, I would still read them!

It would be cool if they released a whole bunch of smaller chapter books that would kind of continue on to the next book, but would have a different pony to focus on. And the last book, all of the stories come together.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do." - Steve Jobs

How bout a 4000 page huge hardcover book that's so long even some bronys might be resistant to read.

A 4000 page book that covered everything in Equestra would kick flank.
