Jesse Terrence 2,968 November 28, 2019 Share November 28, 2019 Huh, kind of weird to see Unity 3D isn't on the list there. On the other hoof, first time I hear of monogame. As a quick review, Unity 3D is a multipurporse thingie for either game making or animation. Been working on it for a couple years and the only downside I see on it is the way it works with collision boxes, though with some good coding you could work around it. Despite its name, it actually works pretty well with 2D games. It requires some more knowledge on programmation than most of the listed options, but is also a bit more versatile due the same reason. And it uses both Java and C# for the coding, so I'm sure anyone with some basic programmation knowledge can get the hang of it quickly.
