What did you guys think about it's return back at 2017?

I quickly went through the old seasons again just for the sake of nostalgia, I really wish there was a way to find the Soundtrack for every episode.

Also, anybody remember that one episode when Samurai jack was 'catfished' by Aku when he shape-shifted into a woman?

I didn't watch the reboot on Adult Swim, but I loved the original show on Cartoon Network as a little kid. Rewatching it on Boomerang when I was older, it was even better than I remembered. That episode with Aku's stories is still gold and I even still have a guilty pleasure for the EXTRA THICC meme.

Samurai Jack was a really good show. I remember watching it when I was a kid, I liked it a lot but never caught the full thing. As an adult I went back to watch it all and I'd say the first 4 seasons are probably somewhere in my favorite cartoons now. Great balance of action, comedy, atmosphere and emotion in them, the episodes all felt very unique and distinct from each other, some were better than others but I can remember a lot of them.

 Not quite as fond of Season 5 though, personally. I thought it started out really good, taking what was there in the previous 4 seasons and maturing it up without losing the spirit or style of the show, but it just got progressively weaker as it went on, and I really didn't like the ending at all, to the point where I feel like I almost prefer the show not having an ending like it did before. The ending is supposed to be bittersweet, but ends up feeling rushed and emotionally hollow, in my opinion.

Samurai Jack was my favorite show when I was growing up.  But ironically, I didn't get to seeing all of the episodes from Season 1-4 until a few years ago.

I was along for the ride, seeing all of the episodes aired when they did.  It was pretty hype and fun on the first few episodes, but it just couldn't keep it up.  The thing is, it felt too rushed; they packed a 15/20 episode season into 10.  Especially the final episode, where too much was smashed together.

Overall, it could have been handled better, but I thought it was good.  It's better than the likely alternative of having no conclusion!  The fact we got a final season after all these years is a miracle.
