Staff of Sacanas and Cadance

So, in the movie, Tempest announced that the Staff of Sacanas would be able to channel the magic of the four rulers, Celestia, Luna, Twilight, and  Cadnce. We learn from the Art of Equestria book that the Staff of Sacanas was a branch from the Tree of Harmony that wound up in Scorpan's posession before the Storm King got it. So if the Staff is a branch from the ToH, then that means Cadance is connected to the ToH in some way, for the magic of her to be channeled by its branch. This makes sense if the Crystal Heart, like the elements of harmony, was something produced by the tree, perhaps even before it bore the elements. Maybe the Tree was first planted by the original 6, and before it bore the elements, it birthed the crystal heart, which was taken to the empire, but then vanished along with the empire, and thus the Tree  bore the elements for Celestia and Luna to vanquish Sombra once the empire returned, and ensure the heart wound up with Cadence, who was royal blood from the empire, and descendant of Princess Amore.

Well the Staff isn't destroyed, which means future potential for it! But after seeing Dr. Wolf's theory about the 7th element, I believe the staff is Scorpan's Pillar item which will be used to summon the element.

The Staff of Sacanas being a branch from the Tree of Harmony and being stolen from Scorpan was a concept that didn't make it into the final movie.
