MLP as a soap opera, would it be satisfactory to you?

You might not be a soap opera person. But you like drama, right? A typical scene in MLP FIM that resembles something from a (good) soap opera is in the special "Best Gift Ever" where Marble Pie sees Big Mac and Sugar Belle together:

 

Soap operas are usually dragged out, repetitive, and cliché. But with the popularity of slice of life MLP FIM episodes, wouldn't it be the perfect thing for us? What do you think?

What are the drama you would like to see in a typical season of a MLP FIM soap opera? There are usually many stories going on at the same time. Imagine Princess problems? Imagine forbidden love between races in Equestria?

 

We are not talking fan fiction here, or shipping. We are talking about a potential TV show where our favorite colorful ponies are living their lives in full drama mode, anything to make you wait out every commercial break just to see more!

8I've actually seen my fair share of soap operas and appreciate them quite a lot. I would have loved to have seen a special or something that just dealt with the character's interpersonal relationships with plot twists, love triangles, conspiracies against each other  

Imagine if the show ended by showing Twilight waking up all the way back to the day of the Summer Sun Celebration or something and it was all a dream.

I am coming from the low budget, really dragged out Sunset Beach soap opera (that no one can watch because too many episodes for VHS storage). There were only a few instances of real drama, murder by twin brother look-a-like, baby switching, drowning on a cruise ship, a few back stabs. But mainly, it was really dragged out dialog for 45 minutes, daily. But when it was exciting, you were really watching it intensively!

I once thought that My Little Pony Tales would make a good soap opera, since it already had ponies living in a human looking society, going to school, having normal issues. And by that, just making one mare get a magical horn for puberty would be really entertaining (to me). That was before FIM though! With FIM, it was much harder to think something out, at least in the beginning, but after Season 5-6, all the slice of life episodes got really popular, and love drama and lying became a thing.

I think that MLP could transfer pretty well to the dynamic actually, 
I now really want to see a MLP soap haha

Um... No. Too much fake drama that gets dragged out far longer than it needs to. Not the kind of show I'd watch.
