ooc Sal's New Life OOC (Sign Up Here)

This is the OOC for Sal's new life, an Open RP that will start out between @Ocean Wavedream and myself. Anyone is free join as long as they sign up. 

This RP is about my mute changeling Sal. He is a pre-reformation changeling. However, he is undergone a change like Thorax, where he was satisfied and not needing to feed off love. 

Sal's Info

Age: 6 (at the start of the RP)

Appearance: Sal is a small changeling, slightly smaller than the average young changeling. He has cute medium sized changeling ears. His wings are normal size. He is able to fly. He doesn't feed off of love though.

Personality: Sal is a very curious changeling and always wants to know how or why something works the way it does. Sal is incapable of speaking speech, because of a brain condition. All he can do is make noises such as mewing, giggling, whimpering, crying and other sounds. He is generally cheerful and wants ponies to know him. When ponies don't treat him so, he gets extremely upset and withdraws.

Backstory: Born in a hive not related to Chrysalis, Sal was one of 56 children hatched. The hive that Sal was born in was a combat hive, so Sal had to learn how to communicate, work as a team, defend and fight. Sadly, when it was discovered that he couldn't speak and could only mew and make other sounds at age 3, he was kicked out by the hive leader's orders, despite his parents struggle to try to keep him in. As an outcast, Sal knew he would be at risk of getting severely hurt. He just wanted someone to take him in. He thus headed for Ponyville, as he overheard some other changelings mentioning it was a very friendly town. Therefore, he made the trek. There, he stumbled upon Cheerile's school, where he had to sneak and listen from the outside to learn how to read and write. After five days of listening, Sal was able to read and write, but still couldn't speak. It was hard for him to communicate with ponies, because some were still stuck in the Canterlot Wedding mentality. Sal made his way over to the school supplies shop. The owner was freaked out a bit that a little changeling walked into her store. Sal tried his best to tell his story using improvised sign language he made, but the owner was confused. He then pointed to the little chalkboard he wanted and mewed. The owner handed it to him and he ended up writing "No home. Cannot speak. Need this." It was then that the owner understood that he needed the chalkboard to communicate. Sal ended up getting the chalkboard for free, and to this day, Sal still seeks a loving and caring parent.

 

To start the RP @Ocean Wavedream will find Sal and take him in.

Short Bio: She moved to Manehattan to start a new identity as a beautician, using only the potions she knows are time tested and true to work. Consistent enough to give results. But she still goes on expeditions looking for rare plants, gems and caves to find extracts and magical properties. So! This is plenty incentive to run into someone or go on adventures c:

I was honestly feeling a bit interested in joining after looking around for a while, so... I'll think I'll leave Reality Check's info here

Age: 16

Personality: Calm and laid back, but snarky and hostile when pushed too hard

Short bio: Reality was sent by his parents to Ponyville after he was accepted into the school of friendship. He always wore a cap on his head, as it was given to him when he was young and gave him confidence at times. He also tends to use drawing as a way to pass time and keep his mind off of things, so he keeps his sketchbook and pencil whenever and wherever he goes.

Ooh, awesome! Check the RP. Sal is headed to Ponyville School. However you could have your OC meet him before he gets to the school.

Personality: Reserved and Non-Judgemental of others due to his upbringing by his Unicorn mentor. Other then that, he is mostly a calm, cool, and collected dragon. 

Short Bio: From being sent away from The Dragon Lands after: 'The Molt', and had the years of learning the pony way of life by his Unicorn Teacher,  Calamitous works as an alchemist, making his home in the Everfree Forest. Taking the time to mingle and get along with the ponies of Ponyville for some classic Slice of Life Roleplays. He can also go on adventures to gather items and ingredience for his Alchemist work for those brave adventurers.

Ooh a dragon! That’s certainly different. You can go ahead and make your first post. Everyone else is meeting Sal at the moment.
