Stand By Me

Overall silly little ep like the other MLP Tales I've seen so far. Notable for Starlight wearing a horse-hair judicial wig which makes her look just a little more silly than it makes actual judges look.

The animators who made the background pink when there are all these pink ponies  occasionally they become invisible

I consider Tales to be the anti-fim, like this one analyst said. It seems there is more conflict than resolution. Also, do I have to mention there are just 3 boys out of all the ponies...? Aaaand....they're quite snooty too...

I don't know about anti-FiM eg in Stand By Me above the idea of loyalty does win out ultimately (even if it isn't really the reason the conflict is resolved). It's also a big departure from Gen 1. Although in the ep Shop Talk, blackmail is used to solve a conflict about gossiping

Happy for there to be discussion about MLPT in general but this is more of an episode discussion thread since I am enjoying these eps as a guilty pony pleasure

That’s the only reason I’d consider watching MLP Tales, listening to G4 horse voices from back then
