Just answer the "X" with your favorite video game. Could be more than one, just one per post and reply. I'll go first. Mine happens too be Kingdom Hearts 2. (Not the HD Re-Mix version for PS3/4/5 just an f.y.i.) It's funny since I never played the first since I had my PlayStation 2, but managed too find a copy of the first at a Flea Market near where I live. Man so many memories... and ALOT of hours put in for 100% in Jiminy's Journal

Fallout is the short answer. I remember finding about it in a gaming magazine. It was a review on fallout 2, actually. I was instantly struck. That screenshot of the ranger's building in NCR is burned into my mind. So, I told my uncle. "We need to get fallout 1".

I can still remember the first time playing it. I was twelve years old. But it feels like it was yesterday. Also, I had no effing clue about what was happening because the game was in english. So, as long as the npcs didn't turn hostile, I knew I was doing something right.

Such an amazing experience. I play these games once a year with much devotion. There is even a fallout bible written by Chris Avellone, where you can find more about the lore behind these awesome post nuclear role playing games that gave origins to the modern fallout games most people know  about, thanks to Bethesda.

Then, I got fallout 2 on a game store. A much bigger sequel. Where you are tasked with saving your village. Of course, I didn't know what the hell was going on, either. And this game is BIG. So, I was unable to guesswork my way this time. Instead, I suggested it to a family member who had also played fallout 1. And I watched him complete fallout 2 like people watch youtubers now. But some years later, I was able to beat it myself. These games became my favourite rpgs of all time. I mean, I have a lot of favourites. But these are at the top.

Then fallout tactics was released. Which I tactically avoided, because it was almost purely focused on the combat aspect.

It wasn't until 2007-2008 that I heard the news about the upcoming fallout 3. I was so excited. Because fallout had been dead for a long time, already. Also, I never played the brotherhood of steel. So, I was there in line to get my copy for the xbox 360. It was incredible to see the wasteland in 3D. And bethesda did a good job. But there was something missing about it. Like a sequel to LotR written by a different author. So, I became disillusioned about the game, and never touched it again.

In fact, I was so disillusioned that I didn't even touch fallout new vegas when it released in 2011. Because I was expecting another game in the same vein as fallout 3. Of course, I didn't realize how wrong I was until 2013-2014 when I first gave it a try. My god. NV became my fallout 3. And fallout 3 became... eh, fallout the themetic park edition. And don't get me wrong. Fallout 3 laid the foundation for New Vegas, and NV would not have been possible without Bethesda.

Dude, fallout new vegas... so good. But then Fallout 4 was released in 2015! Which I have not played yet. But I will in time, despite the fact that I have spoiled myself with the criticism of many. And I actually agree with them. But I want to try it out. So, yeah.

And that is all about the official fallout games, besides fallout 76, which shall not be named!!!

But then there are the fan projects like The Frontier; a game made in the engine of New Vegas. That received a lot of criticism despite having some pretty spectacular set pieces, and vehicles. Yes, vehicles! Though, I haven't tried it myself. Or fallout New California, which I haven't tried either. And there is also Fallout Nevada. I love this total convertion as much as the first fallout games. It is made on the engine of Fallout 2, too!

And finally. Fallout Sonora. A fallout game set in Mexico with a ton of original assets. I have it with an english machine translation. But I am waiting out because there was a dlc announced, and I want the full experience.

Also, special mention to The Sum. An anarchist art project type game made in the engine of Fallout Tactics, that got government funding! Fallout 1.5 Resurrection, set between fallout 1 and 2, where you play as an amnesiac being hunted down by his own past. And... project Olympus. Not based on fallout, I believe. Also, Fallout Yesterday. Based on project van buren. And many more mods and fan projects that are awesome. Including fallout London. And fallout 4: New Vegas. Which I will play when it comes out in 2038.

So, yeah. Fallout. I love it.
