Suddenly, the ground started to shake beneath them as a stone golem rose from the earth and growled at them angrily.

"Crap... i guess this takes priority..." Aligner panicked as he tried to evade the incoming debris the golem procured while it was rising up from the ground.

He released 12 mini drones to block incoming debris at the team, but not all of it can be blocked.

The rest should make action as the 12 bots can't handle all of it.

The artifact detected an anomaly.

Aligner informed everyone as one of his artifacts started floating and blinking.

" usually this artifact would float and follow the anomaly."

Captain Fetock replies: "Thank you, Aligner. You've confirmed my own suspicions. I still wish I knew what they want!" To everypony: We need to stay alert; we could be ambushed!"

Fetlock: "I'll send the boat back up to the Equus with orders to keep us in sight, since it seems that we are going to stay on the ground for now!" Felock tells Moonlight: "Stay within sight. We don't want anything to happen to you!"

The golem is pushed backwards. It's eyes now glow red in anger. It lifts it's arms, and slams them on the ground, creating a small shockwave the others could dodge if the jumped.

I was hoping that the beam would do some damage. I look carefully at the golem to see if I can spot a weak point. Maybe there is a gem, a rune or some other visible feature that I can attack.

The Equus would not fire weapons without authorization from myself or somepony else in command. That said, I'll give the command. "Go ahead! Target the monster and drop a bomb!"  Turning to Aligner, "Please, don't attempt to command my crew."

Turning back to Aligner: "I see you paid attention to our armaments during your time belowdecks.  The bomb was a good idea; the creature was too close to make use of our ballistae--which are our primary weapons. Tochiro and I considered canon, but they are too dangerous on an airship."

The golem exploded, only it's head remained. With a somehow sad expression on its face.

"I'm sorry," it said "I didn't ever want to hurt anyone. I was only following orders to slow you down. I'm sorry."

The mare with a silver mane then rushed toward the bodyless head of the golem which was expressing sadness. Her expression shifting from anger to empathy while spoke to it with a soft and reassuring voice.

"Oh, poor thing... Shhhh... It's okay... Those NASTY creatures won't hurt you anymore... I'll fix you up..." She said with the emphasis on the word "nasty".

She then began to push heavy rocks that were once part of the golem toward the head, trying to get it together. She didn't give up no matter how heavy were the rocks.

After two more Rocks were placed, they all vibrated as the golem rebuilt itself telepathically. It then gave them a somehow soft and gentle hug, making sure to avoid crushing them. "Thank you two. I owe you my life. I will return when you most need me. Goodbye friends."

And with that, it rolled off into the woods.

He began to take some artifact weapons from his bag and was gonna try it on the newly rebuilt golem.

The golem then started to choke Aligner as it reclaimed its arms. "I wasn't brainwashed, just told to do something by a big mean guy." after it got is arms back, it rolled off once more into the woods.

Denied. Aligner wasnt stupid enough to just be grabbed by a lumbering golem and easily evaded. Although he has to let go of the arm.

He then thru a small dart like artifact into the air and darted towards the golem, following it.
