"Are you Ghostie's friend?" 

[Scorpionus]

*Nervously looks at Ghostie, a feint blush appeared under his cheeks* 

“Uh, yeah, yeah we are…”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

"Yeah, I suppose we are!" She smiled, looking at Scorp, this was the first friend she'd made in a long time, and he seemed like a great somepony to have by her side.

[Scorpionus]

*Scorp was still blushing for whatever reason*
 

”We uh, we should probably get out of here.”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

Ghostie smiled at Scorp, and turned to leave with him and her friends, could this be...was she starting to like Scorp? She thought it was a little early for romancing, but why shouldn't she like him? He seemed like someone who would be there for her.

[Scorpionus]

*Scorp teleported them all back to the safehouse.*
 

“Here we are, make yourselves at home”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

Ghostie watched her friends settle in and make themselves comfortable, then she headed off to make herself some tea. 

[Scorpionus]

*Slipstream teleported into the center of the room, covered in blood. He collapsed on the ground.*

*Scorp ran over and picked him up*

[Slipstream]

“Heeeey buddy. How are ya”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

Ghostie ran out of the kitchen (yes, it DOES have a kitchen in my imagination) "Oh dear Celestia! Are you alright? Here have this!" She gave him her cup of tea to warm him up in case he was cold. 

[Slipstream]

*Scorp carried him in the back to the medbay and laid Slipstream on the bed.*

*Slipstream took the tea and gave it a sip*

”It took forever… But I found it. A second location of operations, one that may have a cure in store for us.”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

"Oh thank goodness! A way to stop all of this! I'm so glad!" Ghostie cheerfully smiled at the news, but realized "how are we gonna get there?" 

[Slipstream]

*Slipstream covered his face with his wings.*
 

”I don’t want to go back I don’t want to go back I don’t want to go back.”

 

*Tears glimmered in his eyes.*

"Oh my Celestia! Did something happen? I won't make you explain if you don't want to," she sat down next to him and patted his shoulder. 

[Slipstream]

*Slipstream wrung his wings out into a glass of blood which he then handed to Scorp who downed it promptly.*

”The location itself is safe, but as soon as I left, the bottom was swarmed, I had to fight them all off. So… m-m-m-m-much blood…”

Ghostie winced at his statement, "sounds horrifying, if you don't wanna go back, then...me and Fae could go get it," she assured him.

Oo(Welp just offer yourself on a platter to the infected while you're at it) 

[Slipstream]

“N-n-n-no. It has to be me. I’m the only one who’s immune.”

*He stood up to leave and nearly fell down again.*

[Ghostie Brightlight]

"Be careful out there!" Ghostie called out, "How did all this happen?" She muttered, slinking to the floor, and closing her eyes.

[Scorpionus]

“D-d-d-d-d-don’t worry about-!”

*He collapsed unconscious on the floor and vomited up blood*

“Hey! Can we get a mop and some doctors in here?”

*He gestured to Ghostie.*

”Are you ok? We can leave if you want.”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

Ghostie looked away, her ears going down, she got up from the floor, "I don't want to see this," she slowly walked toward Scorp. 

[Scorpionus]

*Scorp mopped up the blood, discretely drank it, and put Slipstream into bed as Sweet Lemon came in to examine him. Scorp escorted Ghostie out of the medbay.*
 

”Apologies.”

[Ghostie Brightlight]

"No need, it's not your fault, it's no one's" she said, "What are we gonna do now?" She whispered.

[Scorpionus]

“Well, I know one place that’s safe.”

It’s a nice change of pace from here

"Where?" Ghostie asked, she was confused, she wondered where they were going, where else could possibly be safe?

[Scorpionus]

*Scorp teleported them underground to a magical cave filled with glowing crystals and a nice crystal pool that connected to an old mineshaft. Many survivors were down here as well and there was a tunnel directly to the surface.*
