"Dont know why, but my manager isnt getting me any gigs."

Rain looked between them.

"What the bloody hell does taking the city out mean?"

Shadow stopped stalking to King and glanced at Rain "N-nothing" he said

Rain's face kept its creepy lopsided half smile and she slowly turned and wheeled out of the room.

Shadow was unsure if he should follow Rain or talk to King. He started off towards where Rain had gone.

Rain was sitting in (insert whatever the hell is nearby here) and had her back to Shadow. She didn't hear him approach.

He walked up to her silently and grabbed her shoulder "You still okay?" he asked walking around and looking at her.

"No, obviously not. You're planning on destroying a city. And you think I'm going to sit back and let it happen?"

"W-well...im prolly not going to anymore, unless i'm forced to" he said nervously

Rain didn't say anything for a few moments. "Well hopefully the fact that you've ruined my life-and countless others-has knocked some sense into you," she said quietly. "I know I've done the same to you many times, and I'm sorry. I don't know why I listened to Zlo..."

""I-i'm sorry too" he said. He didn't feel it was right to hug her, seeing he looked like the villain, and pretty much was one. He took his respirator out and breathed into it deeply a few times before placing it back in his pocket.

Rain sighed and lolled her head against the chair.

"I just wish I could walk again...but I know I won't be able to. And I'm going to be disfigured for the rest of my life. At least I'm better off than Rachel." She lowered her head and bit her lip sharply so she wouldn't cry. "Don't apologize, you didn't mean to."

The words 'Disfigured' and 'Rest of my life' rang out in his head a few times before he started to feel pain in his head "O-one moment" he said cringing and walking out of the room. He suddenly grabbed his head in pain and sat in a chair outside of the room

Rain just nodded and stared blankly at the wall, running her hand over her facial scars.

Some of the guards watched Shadow as he suddenly slammed his head against the brick wall, cracking it. It was like a headache from hell, and he couldn't get rid of it.

Rain heard the crack and turned.

"Shadow? What's going on? Will sexy time make it better Is there anything I can do to help?"

"No fine" he said trying to fake a normal tone. He then started to punch himself as hard as he could in the head.

"I don't think banging your head into walls constitutes as 'fine'," said Rain, rolling over next to him. "What's up? I'm sorry, I offended you, didn't I?"

[Apollo 297]

*King stood there awkwardly.*

"Ummm, guys? i have a song that can heal really bad injuries....."

*She said.*

Shadow fell onto the ground out of sight from Rain "Nah, i think it's just bugging me you can never walk and will be scarred for life is all" he said punching himself again not even hearing King.

Rain glanced at her.

"Really?" she asked doubtfully. She then looked at Shadow. "Well, this might help..."

 

(BTW, her scars will never fully go away. The worst of the burns will but she'll still have them all over her left side and on her face.)
