Rain glanced at her.

"Really?" she asked doubtfully. She then looked at Shadow. "Well, this might help..."

 

(BTW, her scars will never fully go away. The worst of the burns will but she'll still have them all over her left side and on her face.)

 

"Yeah! I can heal your wounds. Scars will most likely remain, but you will be able to walk, and the injuries will be healed without any pain."

*King said.*

"Uhm...Shadow?" called Rain. "Where are you going...?"

She looked at King and smiled. "I'd really appreciate it..."

Shadow elbowed his was out the door of the run down building, stumbling as he did so. He tripped and hit the floor, for so reason laughing as he did so.

"Uhm...Shadow?" called Rain. "Where are you going...?"

She looked at King and smiled. "I'd really appreciate it..."

 

"I just need you to relax."

*King sat down on the couch next to Rain. She crossed her legs and brought up her guitar. A pick appeared in her fingers and she began to play a calm soothing tune. She sang, an angelic voice, in a familiar, but unkown language. Her singin especially sounded as if Rain had heard it brlefore, but couldnt think of where. Rain's wounds began to heal, her pain going away, and her burns dissapearing. The scars faded away somewhat, but were still visable. King continued her song until Rain looked almost as good as she had before the fire.*

"There. How do you feel?"

Sebastian had left the fight and observed Shadow.

Rain stretched and stood up. She could still see scarring, but it was faint but for her facial ones.

"...that's amazing. I owe you big time, man. THANK YOU," said Rain, hugging King. "One sec, I gotta go find Shadow and make sure he's not doing something crazy."

Shadow looked at him "Oh there you are" he said looking at Seb and firing the gun up in the air for no reason.

"Oh nothing at all, i did basically kill you wife though, so that's one thing i got to think about" he said still smiling and laughing as he fired it at a random car.

*King said, resting her head in her hand after Rain had left.*

Sebastian tightened his jaw. ^Really? I thought you had enough class not to bring that up.^

Rain ran outside to see Shadow. "Shadow! Shadow, I-" Her joyful sentence was cut off when she saw the pistol and Sebastian. "What's going on?" she asked slowly.

"Oh, were just having a talk" he said firing the pistol sloppily at a street sign, still giggling and laughing. His mind was blocking him from seeing Rain, not to mention his blurry vision from not wearing the glasses/

"Then why are you shooting stuff? Gimme that," said Rain, walking down.

^Rain, I wouldn't do th-^ began Sebastian cautiously but Rain waved him off.

"Oh don't be such a stickler," she said, trying to grab the pistol.

Shadow turned to dust and floated away, re-materializing sitting on top of a street sign, and out of Rain's reach. "Now, what should we do next?" he asked as he slightly coughed, but was still laughing.

"I hate when you pull stunts like that," muttered Rain. Then she said louder, "How about we go back inside? It's a little chilly, don't you think?"

[Chickey 383]

"Us vampires can't feel the temperature too much" he said as he started to flip the pistol around in his hands like a revolver.

"Well it's cold for me...c'mon, Shadow, please?" pleaded Rain.

Shadow jumped down from the street sign, still laughing "Fine" he said as he headed for the door, stumbling as he did so.

[Mephala 2,635]

"Thank you," said Rain quietly. She turned as she shut the door to see Sebastian staring at her, scandalized, and she waved at him sadly before closing it.

She then turned to Shadow. "Okay, gimme the gun before you shoot someone with it," she said, extending a hand.

"Or myself" he said reluctantly handing it to her, but put the safety on it first.

"You count as somebody." She immediately dropped it and then scrabbled to pick it up, embarrassed. "Hey, look who's walking again!" she said, trying to brighten the mood. "Some of the scars are here forever, but I'm better than before!"

Shadow concentrated as he looked at Rain 'That's weird, because i can't see you at all" he said

Rain blinked, then nodded and reached into her pocket where she'd put the glasses. She slipped them to him. "Better?"

Shadow adjusted his glasses "Much better" he said unsure if he could see Rain yet. He still had a rather odd and insane happy attitude.

"Don't lie," said Rain with a sigh, examining the gun. "How do I turn the safety off?"

"Why would you want to know that?" he asked
