Diana cocked her head. "How is it up there?"

Ender chuckled softly at her question.

"Quite warm, honestly. I would much rather live in the north, as I loved the cold. And yourself?"

"I have Ice as my element, so I like the cold too." She smiled. "What's your element?"

Ender looked up at her and smiled as well.

"I am quite jealous. I have the element of Electricity."

[Nothing&NoOne 695]

"You have electricity? That's so cool..." She smiled, then looked away a bit nervously.

Ender chuckled softly within him, gaining confidence. He then said,

"Forgive me for saying, but you are nervous. Any reason why?"

Diana looked back at him, smiling apologetically. "I'm quite shy. And I haven't seen another dragon in years."

Ender nodded and began to grin.

"I understand, it is quite alright. I am shy as well, as I haven't seen another dragon in years as well."

Diana grinned back. "I thought the dragons were all gone."

Ender nodded once more.

"As did I. I was alone for many years in my cave."

"I never really lived anywhere. I just sleep in random spots around the lake."

Ender turned his head to the side. She just lived by the lake? He then asked,

"Do all Ice Dragons live by lakes?"

[Nothing&NoOne 695]

Diana shrugged. "I'm not sure. But I like being near the water. It's easier to practice with my Ice powers that way."

Ender then began to smile again.

"If you would not mind it, would you care to show me your powers?"

[Nothing&NoOne 695]

Diana half smiled. "Only if you show me yours after." She stood up and inhaled, then breathed out onto the lake. The water stopped moving and froze, then ice starting to spread outwards. Ice crystals formed on the logs sticking out of the water, as well as the rock she was on and the tree above them. She spread her wings and flew up a few feet, to where one of the larger branches was. She breathed ice onto her claws, and ice spread out along them. Giant claws made of ice hardened on hers, and she lashed out at the tree, the branch getting sliced off and falling onto the frozen water. She breathed in again and an icicle shot from her mouth, hitting the branch and exploding, freezing it solid.

Diana had left Ender's mouth agape. When she had finished all he could muster to say was,

"You are plain amazing, my turn."

 

Ender rose into air with great speed, pointing his head toward the sky. He called out to the sky, and the sky screamed back. From his mouth a lightning bolt appeared, and it fell to the earth in great speed, flashing against the ground. The bolt sent rocks and dust flying in all directions that was not in the path of Diana's, and he flew back to the ground. He then said,

"I would do more, but your home is not my place to destroy."

Her eyes sparkled when the lighting appeared. "Very powerful." she smiled

Ender grinned when she said this.

"Thank you kindly. I am much stronger back in my native environment, but I cannot match your powers!"

"Electricity is so cool. You can learn how to summon storms with it." she grinned

Ender nodded his head and chuckled softly.

"That I could, if I knew the right powers for it."

[Nothing&NoOne 695]

"I'm sure you can learn. I didn't know I could shoot icicles." She laughed quietly.

Ender then chuckled again.

"I guess I would be able to one day."

[Nothing&NoOne 695]

Diana nodded. "Just takes practice."

[Finesthour 7,289]

Ender nodded once again.

"Practice makes perfect then."

He then lowered his head, thinking of what to say next. He did not want to be alone anymore, but he also did not want to scare her away.

Diana sat next to him and stretched her front legs.
