Diana sighed and closed her eyes when the rain started coming down. She opened them a few seconds later and looked as the rain as it fell. She listened to the sound of the raindrops hitting the leaves.

Ender enjoyed the rain droplets hitting his now wet hair, sloshing it behind his head. He simply laid under the massive cloud of rain and enjoyed everything mother nature had to offer as Diana laid on his stomach.

Diana's dark red hair clung to her face as it got wet with the rain. She flicked her head gently and it fell beside her head, both eyes visible. She blinked slowly and watched the clouds rolling above them.

Ender lifted his head off of the ground and looked over towards Diana. He chuckled and said,

"You should wear your hair out of your face more often. Shows your eyes. They are a nice color, capturing."

Diana looked over at him, her dark purple eyes looking at him in a slightly confused way. "Capturing?" She rolled onto her stomach beside him. "Capturing how?" She stared at him quizically, not blinking.

Ender wanted to slap himself for attempting to flatter her on accident. He hadn't meant it on purpose, but now it seemed he had no choice. He attempted to clear his throat and said,

"Well, they pull the eyes in. They sparkle, which is what so amazing about dragons. But yours... they're different. Almost mesmerizing."

Diana blinked and half smiled at him. "Yours are like emeralds." She mused, leaning closer to him. "Such a brilliant green." She said quietly, raindrops running down her face. She looked up at the sky.

Ender caught his tongue as she complimented his eyes as well. He turned his head to the side to look out into the country side around them, the gentle patter of rain hitting the ground no matter where he looked.

Diana stared at the sky, unblinking. "I wonder why the humans are killing all the dragons." She thought outloud, a bit sadly. "You'd think they'd want our help, wouldn't they?" She sat up and closed her eyes.

Ender sat up as well and put a claw on her shoulder. He lowered his head and said,

"I do not have a clue how anyone could do these things to our kind. They seem to fear us because we are a threat to them. Now, they have a reason to fear us. We will destroy them, like they have done to our kind."

Diana nodded. "Yep. They will pay, I can promise you that. Wearing our scales as armor.. it's sick, really. And kinda creepy." She stood up and stretched, letting the raindrops fall on her. She looked back up at the sky.

Ender nodded as well as he stayed on the ground. He turned his head to face her as she stretched and said,

"We should get rest for tonight. If I honestly tried to fight today, I'd shock myself due to the rain."

Diana laughed. "Probably. And I agree, I'm tired." She yawned, her bangs falling infront of her right eye again. She rubbed her other eye and turned to him. "Where should we sleep?" She looked around.

Ender looked around the forest, and could see that they really had found themselves in a safe spot. He turned to Diana and said,

"Right about here is fine. We should stay close together though, for warmth and safety."

Diana nodded and curled up beside him. "Sounds good to me. She murmured, yawning again. She closed her eyes and wrapped her wings around her, like a thin blanket. Her tail wound around her, like a cat.

Ender laid his head down on the ground as he put hid body as close as he could to her, and folded his wings down low. He let out a silent sigh as he felt his mind begin to shut down as he fell into the abyss of sleep.

Diana fell asleep after a while, the gentle pitter patter of the rain serving as her lullaby. She slowly started humming to herself while she was on the edge of sleep, unaware she was doing it.

The clouds were still overhead, and it was still raining when Ender woke up. The rain was coming down harder than it was before, and the leaves were no long sheltering both of them from the harshness. Seeing that Diana was still asleep, he stretched out his wing to completely cover her body while he became soaked.

Diana woke up when she heard rain falling on something near her. She opened her eyes partially and saw Ender's wing over her. She inhaled quietly and breathed ice around them, forming a small igloo. "I didn't want to do this before because we didn't need it." She said in a sleepy voice.

Ender smiled down at her as the igloo was formed around them. He folded his wing once more and said,

"Get back to sleep now. I'll keep watch just in case, you need your rest."

He then laid his chin on the ground, and watched the are around them.

Diana fell back asleep after a little while. She stretched out and the side of her face touched his, then she sighed in her sleep and stayed still. She breathed quietly, dreaming of nothing, and it was peaceful.

Ender felt heat rush to his face, but did not allow this to distract him from his watch. He had a duty to make sure no creatures would come near and attack Diana. He himself could die, but he would not allow her to.

Diana slept for a little while longer, then opened her eyes and yawned groggily. She looked over and saw that she was pretty much nuzzling him; she sat up quickly, blushing. "Sorry, I stretch out when I sleep sometimes.."

Ender chuckled softly as he saw her embarrassment plastered across her face. He smiled at her and said,

"It's no problem. You didn't see me complaining, did you?"

He smirked at her and rose off of the ground.

Diana half grinned at him. "I suppose not." She stretched her limbs and yawned her groggyness away, then peeked outsde the igloo. "It's still pouring rain." She said, shaking the water droplets from her hair.
