Where would we be? MLP Previous Generation's Impact

Well we know Friendship is Magic isn't the first My Little Pony Show. There have been what, 3 earlier generations?

My question for you bronies is: Where would FIM be if it aired, but the first Generations never existed?

I'm thinking that it would be on an unknown channel that few watch.. Then us Bronies would not exist, or would have taken longer to exist.

We wouldn't have as much hate as we do now because haters think, My Little Pony? WTF, are you retarded or something?

Yeah, at least we have loving fans. <3

We were afraid of the earlier generation of Ponies which lived long ago. We dared not to go near them and we still try to stay away from them as much as possible.

Especially when the humans first arrived...we still have nightmares about that.

There is no way of knowing of where it would be today. But it is for certain that there would be less haters. I think most of the haters just hated the commercials and never even saw the previous generations. Which leads them to judge the newer generation, and not even give it a chance.

I don't really hate how it is now, anyways. But I just ignore all of the haters and just watch the show.

Had FiM been the first edition of MLP I think it'd still get some sort of following on the merit that it's a decent show, and with Lauren Faust getting the ball rolling there'd surely be people following it. Even with the lack of an established franchise there'd sadly still be some sort of controversy with liking it just because it's called "My Little Pony", but I do think it'd be less of a big deal due to lack of a precedent.

It would probably be wonderful- no confusion(no one would mistakingly think we watch the previous generations, no offense to those that do though), likely less stigma, and as said before fewer haters, probably.

I'm inclined to say that the negative association with the past generations would of made the show more accessible to a wider audience. Dare, I say perhaps a larger fan base?
