Twilight Sparkle's skepticism towards a very special, and handy,  ability that Pinkie Pie has seemed unsympathetic, and uncharacteristically close-minded. Twilight Sparkle is more aware than most ponies about what a magical world Equestria is, so her reaction to Pinkie's tics just doesn't make any sense.
