TomokoKuroki 1,707 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 (edited) So i was playing a game of League of Legends and out of no where a huge philosophical and enlightening conversation emerged from a Twitch, talking to a Ziggs. The Twitch was trying to tell the Ziggs about how he was negatively impacting his life. The Ziggs didn't care about anything except "Bitches (Which annoyed me that he referred girls to only bitches and hoes" weed, and games. He didn't have a job, he dropped out of school, and sells nudes to high school girls. He is 17. He absolutely cares for nothing but those 3 things. Twitch was trying to tell him how everyday should matter and that the best time to start things is now, I tried adding my input saying that he needs to have his priorities straight, responsibility, discipline, etc but he simply just didn't care for those things. He claimed he would "Mature up" when he reaches 20, but at the moment he didn't care about anything. Now I don't exactly care nor feel pity on his life, he makes it his own, but I did try to at least voice my opinion on what he could do to improve his life quality when he realizes that he wasted so much time on nothing which could severely makes things hard on him. I mean I slacked off on getting a job because I cared about fun more; and it took me almost 2 years to land a job. I regret that mistake, but I did at least land one finally. So my question is what would you do to help someone like this, or what would you say to them? Or would you leave them be for them to discover what you had to say themselves when they see what could happen. Titan Rising 2,156 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 I have largely stopped giving advice online and in life unless someone asks for my opinion, and if they disagree with it I don't put up any resistance. I've spent a lot of time telling people how they should be for the last 5 years or so of my life, but in the last few months I've realized just how meaningless and empty words really are. Long story short, the quote "actions speak louder than words", has a far deeper meaning behind it than I once thought. If you want to change anyone or help anyone, live your life so that they believe that you believe in what you say.
Finesthour 7,287 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 You can't change someone so stubborn. If they want to live like an idiot, let them learn from their mistakes.
Lostwanderer 367 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 Well, first off, if it's a conversation in a game of LoL YOU LEAVE IT ALONE. But in general people usually won't listen, it's wasted effort imo.

I have tons of friends around me that are EXACTLY like that,It's pretty much too late to help them now,for the most part they are fully aware of what they are doing the just lack the willpower and motivation to turn their situation around. P.S: I've also pretty much stopped talking to all my friends that are like that due to the influence they have on me "Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" Ooh! Ooh! More guessing games! Um... Pokey Smokes! How about Queen Meanie? No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty!

Whiteshade 1,426 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 Gank that Ziggs. Seriously though, if he insists on self-destructive actions then that's his choice, and you really have no right to force him to do otherwise. 2 Warning: Signature may cause seizures, owner will sue you if you complain Nothing happens, yet everything changes. Love4discord18 269 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 I would try to help, but if they refused to change there ways, I'd just say F' you and leave them. I'm having the same problem, about wanting fun more then a job, I'm 17, c'mon! But, I do atleast clean the entire house every day, cut the grass once a week, and clean my dad motorbike every 2 weeks, THEN I sit around and play games. ~If You Want Me To Reply To Your Post, Quote My Post~ ( Siggy by me. Fluttermedic 86 July 13, 2012 Share July 13, 2012 Dropped out of school, smokes weed, calls all women bitches, sells nudes to high school girls and is 17? I wouldn't be surprised if someone on the conversation reported this to the police, but still, I highly and I mean HIGHLY doubt that this 'person' would be able to have a good life and get a good job from what he says he does. He should go to jail for the rest of his life, but Iraq torture camp, even with all he has done, still not for him. But if he was a child pedophile, make sure he'd get the first ticket to the torture camp with the hot irons.
