NavelColt 22,881 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 (edited) Well people seem to enjoy reporting me much more than you then ~ Hmmm, well, that's not something I can really comment on. This is going nowhere, so I rest my point. Edited July 22, 2012 by ~Chaotic Discord~
Radiance64 7,053 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 I think reporting is fine the way it is, but I suppose it could be a little easier, especially if it was a window instead of leaving the page, I'd like that.
Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,527 July 22, 2012 Founder Share July 22, 2012 May I say something, please? Filing a report by no means guarantees that action will be taken against whatever or whomever was reported. And if you feel you are being unfairly moderated, read this. Thank you. Now, let's bring the topic back on track to discuss these two suggestions: AJAX'ifying the report button so you can file a report without leaving the page report reason presets 1 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
3005 332 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 If I may may make a suggestion, there is an IPB feature (or mod, but I believe it's the prior) that allows for flagging entire topics. While this isn't directly related to what Jubilee's suggesting, it's in the same vein of reporting content. It's incredibly easy, too; just a little menu at the top of the thread, next to "Post Reply."
Starshine 16,334 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 AJAX'ifying the report button so you can file a report without leaving the page report reason presets +1 support on these. Sometimes I spotted a few weird-worded posts that should be reported, but I walked away instead because reporting was too much of a work (my internet connection was made of magnets and negative thoughts :/)
Killian Jones 2,655 July 24, 2012 Share July 24, 2012 I know a lot of moderators including myself use the reports system to take notice of things, so when a topic or post is reported, we look at the post before looking at the report body in question. Meaning we will see if we can see a particular issue before any potential bias can come up from the report message. if it is outright wrong and bad, it will be removed instantly. If the issue is not clear, I look through the report message, sometimes it clears up confusion and tips the result in favour of what the message says. but not always. So truly it all comes down to reportworthiness or not. If it wasn't truly a infringing post it likely won't receive any action upon it either way. As for the suggestions, it is iffy, reports have fairly small messages anyway. And they obviously don't take long to type. The AJAX one is cool, but the report presets seem like bridge further. Although it could be useful.
