DD-WRT/OpenWRT

Which is better for a wireless bridge? I'm trying to create one for a laptop that doesn't have wireless access yet, and the router is downstairs.

For all it's worth, I've been using DD-WRT on my DIR-615 for a few months now and haven't ever run into any problems. Because of the lack of problems, I'd probably recommend DD-WRT, only because I haven't used OpenWRT and to use it on my router would require me to manually build the firmware binary.

Probably would work, I have a DIR-601. Thanks! BTW I'm using this for my Linux development machine. :)

Same here! DD-WRT on my Linksys WRT54G2. Its nice, your router just has to be compatible.

I was going to seach on google for an answer. I found this topic:

And I read some of it. Then I scrolled down. EPIC WIN. SCROLL DOWN. You will understand what I mean.

Haha, I see quite a few members that are epic win. Not just on that page, but elsewhere..
