Nightfall slowly started walking towards Canterlot Castle.

"No, I didn't... I'm not busy..." Nightfall looked at Vinyl. He never would have expected or dreamed of this. A famous mare asking him to dinner. He thought it should maybe be the other way around... "Where would you like to eat? I'll pay..."

"Oh... Sounds fun..." Nightfall blushed and looked at the ground. The castle... A bit intimidating.

"Could we teleport there?" Nightfall prepared a teleporting spell.

"Already two steps ahead of you." They looked up and saw that they were right in front of the door to the main entrance. The guards crossed their spears. "It's okay fellas, he's with me." At that, they uncrossed the spears and opened the massive doors, revealing the inside of the grand castle. "Follow me," Vinyl said to Nightfall

Nightfall followed Blade, but kept looking around in awe. He noticed he was the only commoner pony in sight. Well, he was an alicorn, but he didn't look like a royal. He trotted and caught up to Blade.

"You sure this doesn't look... awkward and weird?" He sounded a tad nervous.

"I'm sure. The only other ponies here are guards, servants, and the princesses," she looked around to be sure, "Yep, that's it."

"Guards, servants, the princesses, some commoner pony, and, um..." Nightfall trailed off. "Um... A beautiful mare." He said the final sentence low, and blushed as he said it. He felt shy and nervous.

Vinyl eyes widened a bit, she blushed and looked a way. "Come with me to the dining hall," she said, smiling.

Eventually, the two reached the dining hall. There weren't too many posh ponies around, for it was a bit late for dinner.

Vinyl sat at the head of the table and Nightfall sat down next to her, other than them there were a couple of higher ranking guards. Alfred came out of the kitchen followed by several other servants, all with fancy mustaches. Alfred said, "In celebration of Miss Vinyl's fifth year with us, we will be having a Seitan Satay and a Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness cake, baked by the Cake's over in Ponyville."

"Thank you, Alfred. This looks delicious."

(Sorry I did not post all day today! I was celebrating my birthday ^^; )

 

Blossom Bloom decided that it was none of her business so she decided to go back home. Besides, it was getting late. She flew back towards Ponyville and soon she was back in her room just as she was this morning. Blossom was not tired at all but she laid down in her bed since there was nothing better to do. She took a deck of cards from her nightstand that she had just for those occasions and started doing tricks with them with her wings. After a while of doing this, she sighed loudly and dropped the cards. "Augh! I'm BORED.BORED.BORED!" she shouted with her hooves waving around in the air wildly. "Come on...There's gotta be SOMEPONY out there that isn't asleep yet!" moving to get out of her bed and opening the window, she stared out into the black night sky and sighed again. This would be one of the best times to have a sister so she wouldnt be so bored all the time. Deciding to go out for some fresh air, she flew out the window and towards the park.

Sky awoke due to somepony shouting extremely loud. "Tch. Troublesome mare" Sky said as he got up and stretched. He then noticed it was night. "Crab apples I was suppose to move to canterlot today" Sky mumbled to himself as he then began the long flight to Canterlot.

Blossom Bloom was sitting under a tree in the park when she spotted another pegasus up above flying rather quickly. "I wonder why he's flying so fast...oh! Maybe he's late to a party! Finally! Goodbye boredom!" she thought to herself as she smiled. Soon she was up in the air and quickly behind the pegasus that she had saw flying not too long ago. "Hey!" she called out to the colt in front of her "Where's the party?!"

Tune Twist woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of flapping wings. "Ugh. Doesn't anypony around here know when you are supposed to be asleep?" He asked his whitewash ceiling. He looked out his window to see a pegasus stallion flying quickly by up his street and over the park. "Would you mind keeping it down?" Yelled Tune to the tolerant pegasus. "Ugh, nevermind." He said to himself before laying down in his bed again.

Nightfall looked at the food with wide eyes. He hadn't seen anything so... so delicious and fancy before. He wondered how he could repay Blade. He felt like he wanted to repay her somehow. But he was just some commoner pony... how could he repay a famous mare?

"Oh, um... thanks."

He looked around and saw only two guards in the room.

"Um, Blade? I, uh... I... uh, thanks."

"You're very welcome. Now let's dig in."

Nightfall blushed and started eating his dinner. It was really good.The only problem he had was that in the back of his mind, he knew it was getting late and he wouldn't really make it home until early in the morning. He kept trying to make it go away, but it wouldn't.

"Um... Miss Blade? The edge of Canterlot is a good distance away, yes?"

"Um... my.. the area I live in (it isn't quite a 'house') is just outside of Canterlot, and I was wondering how far I might have to walk to reach it..."

Nightfall blushed and finished his meal.
