Equinox walked out of the movie dissapointed, "Turns out those were "ending credits", not opening credits... one quick movie if you ask me." she sighed and left the building, wandering around Canterlot.

"Hey, wait!" Although he didn't want to quite leave her without his answer, maybe she can help. "hold on, i was wondering.... could you help me out here? it's just that Kernel, she's..not happy. could you help me confort her?"

"Okay, what seems to be the problem?"

"Well.well, her parents are... you know... well, they aren't really here right now and, well, i need help getting her through this phase in life."

(Filler: YELL SALUTATIONS TO MY SMALL AQUAINTANCE!)

"All I need to know," Equinox trotted back inside with a gentle smile to comfort Popcorn Kernel, "Solarius told me that you were having some 'troubles', so it's okay to tell me about them, if you don't want to, then it's alright."

Popcorn Kernel looked at Equinox. If anypony's body was prepared for the long, slightly sad story of Popcorn's parents, it would be Popcorn. "When I was ten, me and my parents went on vacation..." she said. She almost trailed of, but then she got started again. "...to the beach. It would have been great, but.. but... we were getting our hooves cool in the fresh ocean water, and..." she sighed, "my parents accidentally fell in. Before I could get help, they drowned." She slightly looked at the ground. "After having a bond and help from my parents for ten years, to have them suddenly gone was something to stay in my mind." She looked at the walls. "The colors of the theater, such as gold, blue, remind me of that vacation, and the other colors, purple, red, black, they remind me of the sadness..." Her story stopped there.

Suddenly depressed from hearing that story, she made up an answer, "We all have something that we see and it brings up bad memories, but they're just colors that are in a theatre. You're life sounded much harder than mine, but I know that you can still keep going, and not many ponies could go on if that happened to them. You're strong, and that's one of the things that make you a great pony. Unlike me, where I see a Ferris Wheel and cower in fear." Equinox remembered one of her somewhat traumatizing moments, "Why did they have to dare me to jump off it when I was a weak flyer back then?" she thought.

Popcorn listened, secretly working against her urge to say she cried at night. I'm going to have to struggle against that one secret... crying at night just because I remember my parents... she thought.

Still recovering from the story, i added my two bits. "And I have always had hatred and sadness towards my childhood years. See, we all have problems with future events, some that stick with us for long times. the important thing is knowing we can all move on!"

"Um..." Popcorn was having trouble holding back the simple fact she would cry over her parents at night. She looked at the ground and brushed at a popcorn-butter-stained spot with her hoof.

 

(Filler space....)

He could dig more. He can sense it. Just use your Persuasive skills. "Is there something you are leaving out, Kernel? it's ok to tell us... I'm here to help!" He wanted to say she was among friends, but the fact they just met is somewhat different.

Popcorn Kernel looked up slightly. "Well, I'm thinking.. about something I've never told anypony, and probably never will..." Then her speech transferred to her mind. I cry at night! she thought, ending her sentence with only thoughts.

After that sentence, he finally realized he hit rock bottom... he shouldnt go this deep, especially to a pony he just MET! i mean, how evil is THAT?! hehehehehe... pretty evil... "It's ok... (goodbye heaven.) you can trust me."

"Well..." Popcorn lowered her voice, "I cry at night, over my parent's death..." she whispered softly. She secretly hoped nopony had heard her, this was something she had never wanted other ponies to know.

... WTH HAVE I DONE. I am being good for eternity starting now. Next time, i'm gonna stay in my own business. I mean, it just ended from a friendly gesture to a deep emotionally shaking secret. Next time, OH NEXT TIME. NEXT TIME.... oh no. IM GONNA MISS MY SPEECH!!!!!!!! talk about 20% UNcooler. NOW how am i gonna leave, especially in the position im in... 'oh yea, just great, gtg, bye'?! "I'm sorry...." I storm out, my life changed, hoping that she didn't become emotionally scarred from this very day.

Popcorn Kernel looked all the way up, to realize the purple pony had disappeared. Suddenly, she realized the theater was closing soon, and she was one of the ponies that would never dare stay during the cleaning time. Walking out of the popcorn station, she quickly walked out of the theater. Sulking in the shadows, she walked home. Trotting inside, she went to her bedroom to find her diary. She started to search for it.

His speech was a success. He didn't miss one word, and is now definitely SURE to be next mayor. Eat that, Floris! He wanders home with pride and success and... and emptyness... he couldn't let go of the pony he met at the movies. He decided to find her. speeches didn't matter at that moment, he should go have dinner, fishing, even to his own living quarters with this girl. he couldn't stop his feet as he went to get his massive phone book (which im not sure exist...)!

Popcorn Kernel found her diary. Grabbing a pencil, she started to write after she found the first empty page. She wrote:

Diary Entry 23

Dear Diary,

Well, today I let out a deep secret to an actual pony. That might be the last time I give out a secret in a way other than letting diary pages blow in the wind. I secretly feel like maybe I should move from Canterlot, but I don't have enough money bits. Weeel, that's all, I guess.

 

She closed her diary and put it on a shelf.

Equinox trotted back to the castle, now that she has heard Popcorn's story and a little bit of Solarius's, she began to wonder about her own beginnings. She had amneisia, so it was very difficult to remember anything. How old was she? She was around the age of a filly, but doesn't know her actual age. Whatever gave her amneisia did a great job, she doesn't even know her original name. She thought back to when she first woke up without memories, all she had was a note. Maybe she still had it?

 

Thinking about that note, Equinox took to the sky and flew back to the castle, wanting to see if she still had it.

The run was, as earlier said, EXHASTING, but, unlike earlier, meant the world. "Popcorn? Popcorn Kernel?!" My hearing is a bit better now, and all i hear is... someone writing? the book is put down. The moon is dimmer due to somepony covering it... but by the palace? Never mind. Back to Kernel.

Equinox crashed straight into a window, turns out the maid closed it while she was gone. Shaking her head, the mare opened the window and entered her room, where she searched everywhere for that note. "Where is it? whereisitwhereisit!" she thought to herself. After what felt like an hour of searching, Equinox came out empty-hoofed. "Guess I must have thrown it away..." she said aloud in a very dissapointed tone.

 

Suddenly, she tripped over a box. Getting up, she recongized the box and opened it. It contained photos and letters from her known past. "Could it be in here?" the mare asked herself. Scrambling through the box, Equinox found the note that was with her on the day she lost her memories. Written in ink, all it said was,

 

"Sometimes it's better to forget"

 

"Are you kidding me!?" She shouted at the paper.

As arrogant he had been that morning, the rest of the day had taught him a important lesson of friendship... to NOT BE A JERK TO OTHERS. I'll tell Twilight later. His patience wasn't lasting as long as he hoped. Should i just barge in? no.... YES..... ill wait. yea, that's it... i'll wait.

Silver Heart was walking home after she finished her shift at the hospital.

Todays shift was long. I can't wait to get home. I have the day off tomorrow...perhaps I'll go to a cafe and read.

Silver Heart turned around a corner and saw a black and purple unicorn stallion standing at a door, he looked either worried or agitated, Silver Heart couldn't tell.

That's odd...almost everypony is asleep by now...he looks rather familiar, I wonder where I've seen him. I'll stand back and watch for a bit to make sure nothing's wrong.

Popcorn Kernel was about to leave her house to explore a little, when she opened it and instantly saw that purple pony. "Huh? Oh, you." she said, slightly distracted by a silver pony a distance away watching slightly.

"Kernel, i just wanted to say... i'm sorry i made you unconfortable today! i want to make it up to you. Do you... Do you wanna go to the Gala tomorrow? I mean, i can have Rarity get and dress, and, well, i'm fine as me.." Was that a insult? "I just... REALLY want to make it up to you."
