open The Tournament

Hello Sir/Madame.

 

You have been selected due to your combat, military, or magical skills to take part in the annual fighting tournament. If you chose to participate, please show up at the New York docks by 8 am sharp. The ship will be leaving at 8:30 am.

Once contestants arrive you will all be able to choose a team if you haven't already in this letter, and when there are a minimum members for each, the tournament will begin.

You will be able to discover vast lands and new places and travel the world while competing in a exciting tournament.

The winners will each be given the prize of whatever their heart desires.

If you already have found a team you desire, please fill in here and send the letter back to the return address.

 

This was the letter that was sent out to various fighting experts across the world. The person who had sent it was still unknown. But whoever wanted to join better get to the ship soon.

Roger put down the letter and looked at the time 6:30am, he got the letter yesterday but only just now looked at it, he was lucky he was staying in new york at the time the docks? he thought to him self those shouldnt be 30 minutes from here, but still, talk about short notice he got up and began packing his duffle bag, he threw in his weapons, his katana, and his duster coat, he put on his gloves and helmet and exited the hotel, he got in his car and headed to starbucks for a morning coffee, then drove to the docks

Thalia reread the letter as she skipped along the street, her baggy black clothes tripping her tiny frame up every so often. She grinned excitedly, then turned to face a taller more sullen figure.

"Edddddie, come on, it'll be fun!" she crowed. "Just imagine, we'll be able to stop!"

Edward shuffled his feet along slowly, brushing his hair away from his feminine features. *I don't want to, though,* he moaned. *Why can't we just keep up what we're doing now? It's fine.*

Thalia shook her head in mock severity. "You remember your Auntie Zlo, right?"

Edward sighed again. *I know, I know. We don't want to end up like her.*

"Right!" said Thalia, jumping up and down and clapping her hands excitedly. "But with the powers we took from her, we can with this tournament and end our life of crime!"

Edward just looked at the ground as they continued, Thalia humming tunelessly and grinning at everyone she passed.

Presently, Thalia pointed. "Look, the docks! Ooh, this is so exciting!" Grabbing his hand she pelted towards them.

Roger parked his car and got out and went to the back of his car, he opened the back and took out his bag, he closed the car up and set the bag down, now all that was left was to wait for other participants

Thalia saw the other man as her and a reluctant Edward arrived at the docks. She bounced over happily, then tripped on the leg of her pants and fell right in front of Roger.

"I'm so sorry, these clothes aren't quite right," she laughed and stuck out her hand. "Thalia."

Hypno had his back leaned up against the ship at the docks, he was waiting for people to arrive also seeing he arrived quite early. He had one katana strapped at his side. He noticed off into the distance a few people who seemed to be other contestants.

he shook her hand and responded "Roger, Roger Smith"

 

he began to think to himself

this tournament will be easier than i thought

 

he then looked over

Hypno could hear anything due to headphone on his head. He was waiting for the ship to be able to board so he could get this over with. Be the captain had refused saying a few other must be here before it can open.

Jet frowned and looked at the letter he had recieved, then back up at the docks in front of him, noticing a few people milling about chatting and one leaning against some kind of cargo ship, "hmm...guess this is the place."

he put the letter back in his breast pocket and moved forward to say hello his tail lightly swishing with....it wasnt nervousness, that was pounded out of him in the frozen wasteland of siberia, mabey it was anticipation?

"This is Eddie," said Thalia, rocking on her heels cheerfully as she smiled at Roger. She nabbed Edward's hand again and yanked him forwards. "Say haaaaaaaaie, Eddie," she demanded.

Edward sighed and also offered his hand. *EDWARD,* he emphasized, giving Thalia a cross look. She just smiled and spun in a circle gleefully, then pointed.

"Ooh, lookie, there's someone else," she said, then barrelled towards Hypno, yanking off his headphones and yelling "HI!" in his ear.

Edward stared at her, then looked back and shrugged. *Sorry. She's like this sometimes.*

"My...ear" Hypno said looking at Thalia with a irritated look. "Anything you may need from me then?" he asked "My name is Hypno, if thats what you wanted." he explained to her after a few seconds.

"Sorry, I'm excited," said Thalia breathily. "This tends to happen. I'm Thalia." She smiled at him cutely, brushing back a lock of black hair. "So which team you on? Me and Eddie are Red." She pointed towards Edward, who was saying something to Roger.

Jiang was running from roof to roof, he was exited to be going to this tournament. He was about two roofs away from the docks. He jumped down and ran to what seemed to be the other contestants. Most had a katana, which is a nodachi for wimps.

Roger watched as the overly quirky girl skipped away to some one else who was at the docks, he looked around when some thing caught his attention IS THAT A SHARK??? Roger looked at what appeared to be a humanoid shark wearing a trench coat,

 

he then thought to him self

maybe its just a costume...a costume with a tail? is that possible?

"Oh goodie, were on the same team then" he said to her. "I'm on red, if you didn't get the hint that it" he explained. He eyed Edward for a few moments before asking "Is that your brother or something?"

Edward wandered away, noticing Roger had his attention on a different person. He sat down and watched Thalia, feeling bad for the poor guy she was talking to. She was a little overzealous at times, and it freaked some people out.

 

Thalia shook her head. "I've been taking care of Eddie since he was a baby," she said. "But since I don't age very fast, I still look pretty much the same."

Jet looked around before setting his bag on the ground, taking his red beret off to reveal jet black hair, he reached up to toussle it slightly before putting the beret in his pocket, revealing under the trenchcoat was a spetznaz camo uniform, with a pistol holster and a pistol in it.

he walked forward and said hello in his slight russian accent to the first person he saw, though this person was looking at him strangely like he hadnt seen a huminoid animal before.

"Ah... that's swell" Hypno said as he noticed Jet a few seconds later and stared for a minute "Is... that a shark...?" he asked Thalia with a confused look on his face "That's a new one in my books..."

Jiang looked at the shark...man...thing... "Sure hope I am on your side." He said. But if not, I hope he can dodge a four foot long sword... He shook away his thoughts and examined the tonfa blades in his coat.

"Ooie, a humanoid! Haven't seen one of those in a while. He looks nice!" said Thalia as if this was perfectly normal to see. "I wonder what team he's on?" She looked at him for a few more seconds then looked back at Hypno and giggled. "What? You've never seen one before? Weird!"

"That's pretty rad" he said after a few seconds looking at the shark-man with a grin. "I just hope he is on our team though. Shark guy seems cool to me" he explained to Thalia still staring at him.

Thalia nodded. "Well, though I don't usually get to know them too well, I've met a few on my job. They can be pretty dangerous."

Edward stood up and walked over. *She bothering you?* he asked politely, giving Thalia a fierce stare as if to tell her not to say too much.

"uhh...hello" AND ITS RUSSIAN??? Roger was glad he still had his motor cycle helmet on, or his dumbfounded look would be visible to every one

 

he shook his head and then decided to do some push ups to pass the time, he hoped this thing would start soon

Jet took a look at all the people, and he wondered who was on his team, and who wasnt, "so," he smiled a slightly toothy grin to the one who started pushups, "what team are you on?"

he looked at the others, pointing to each one, "hmm, red, red red....." he laughed, "only guessing, but red is usually the first color to be chosen."

"ALLL ABBBOARRDD" a voice came from the ship as the doors became unlocked.

 

Hypno let out a 'hmpfh' sound as his pulled out his katana and stabbed it into the steel door with one swift quick motion. He then used it to rip the door open forcefully instead of just using the handle
