Goodra 531 August 5, 2012 Share August 5, 2012 I want to install the additional content Logic Pro 9 has to offer so I selected them all and clicked install but it said I did not have enough space so I headed out to Bestbuy, bought a 64 USB PNY memory card, plugged it into my Macbook air, copied Logic Pro into the memory card, and went to go try to install the additional content but it still did not let me which doesn't make any sense because the additional stuff is 19.4 gigs and the memory card I bought can hold 64 gigs. Can somepony please help me?
Fox 5,330 August 5, 2012 Share August 5, 2012 If you have Logic 9, make sure your Mac has the system requirements to run it. The additional content may require a new sound card.
Bohtty 1,775 August 5, 2012 Share August 5, 2012 What kind of error did it give you when you tried to install from the memory card? Otherwise it could be any number of things. Legit signature made by Shift.

It lets me run it with out the additional content but ide really like to add the additional content. What kind of error did it give you when you tried to install from the memory card? I don't even think you can use a memory card to run anything. I think it's just for storage. If I were you I would get either an external hard drive, or clear up unused files on your computer to make room. Legit signature made by Shift. That's what i'm saying though, the newer content may require an upgrade to your Mac. That's why I suggested looking at your system requirements. If you contact Apple services, they can probaly assist you better than me. (Since it's an Apple product). I don't believe you can install content on a memory card. However, Logic 9 is a bigger piece of software, so you might be right. : - )

I don't know. -shrugs- Well technically you can install anything onto any drive if it has the memory, the problem is that many program require different files that are only present on a computer. There are applet versions of programs that are designed to run off drives. The best solution to the original poster's problem is to just clear off files on their computer that they no longer use. I am sure there are things he doesn't use that could be removed. Legit signature made by Shift.

Are there any external hard drives you would recommend, like one that could hold more than enough gigs for macbook air apps?

I would recommend not buying anymore external storage devices and instead clearing up space on your computers built in drive. THAT is the best solution. Chances are you would run into a similar problem that you had with your memory card. If you need help optimizing the stuff you current'y have on your computer let me know. I am certain there is a solution to make it all work on the same computer. Legit signature made by Shift.
