BBC Mentions My Little Pony

I went to the BBC America blogs for Doctor Who, but I found that they mentioned My Little Pony in one of the articles.

They discussed the pony version of the Skyfall trailer. It was a pretty short article, but it was an interesting view and an interesting shout out. It didn't directly mention bronies, but it was nice to see the fandom having another step in growth.

Read the article here.

Article posted word for word:

‘Skydash’

This is not a drill. An enterprising YouTuber by the name of cloverfieldmoster has edited together a version of the trailer for the new Bond movie Skyfall, which was only released four days ago, using footage from the My Little Pony cartoons.

It’s partly impressive because of the speed with which it was made (Skydash was uploaded one day after the Skyfall trailer), and partly impressive because it’s a mad idea, but mostly it’s impressive because it sort of WORKS:

Here’s the original trailer again, for reference purposes:

I know, it’s hard to choose between them, isn’t it?

Now if only they would acknowledge Doctor Whooves, then the BBC would truly be awesome. Or if they did, then they might press Hasbro for royalties lol.

Well, it's a start. Remember, becoming a Brony is a process that takes time. It almost never happens overnight.

But you do bring up a good point there. If they acknowledge the fact that fans - many of them British - actually not only call him Doctor Whooves, but actually have fanfics and even a fan series out there, I wonder what they would say.

Oh yeah that would be fantastic. I would love to see them give a shout out. I hope nothing bad would happen. I would expect more from BBC. BBC is cool. ;)

True, but it would be really great if they at least aknowledged it. If they were to see the animations they have out there too... :D

Meh, this was posted on Equestria Daily some days ago, and I have already seen it. So Mailmare was first on the forums. Haha, anyways I think it's pretty cool. It would be nice to have some more mlp stuff on there.

Pics or it didn't happen. Nah just kidding. I did search it in the search bar and I didn't get any results. Thanks for the reply though.

I like BBC. I mean I really do. They stand for a big part of the British culture. And what with all the scrambling for Olympic news, lo and behold they were able to reach out and grab whatever they could to report, and it just happened to be pony content.

I'm happy, and proud of them, for being able to cope with this.

My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012. I joined here on April 24, 2012. Where that journey is headed now, who knows...
