White dropped to his knees again. Despite his best efforts, he had failed to get her back.

 

"No...nononono.....I've failed you, Octavinyl. I failed everypony." he looked at where her body was, now replaced by a heap of dust and ash.

 

She's dead all the way now......I am a failure....I should've stopped him.

Octavinyl was brought back to life, she was just near the campfire. Of course she did trade half of her soul so Morning Star's life wouldn't be shortened. She was as white as an angel, but thankfully she didn't have an angel halo above her.

Morning star was in raged."Look, stop blaming yourself this is my doing my plan I wanted her back, I loved her do you understand nothing"? Morning star broke down crying."By Celestia! what have i done"! Morning star ran outside to morn his lost love.

Octavinyl walked right infront of Morning Star, "Hey hold your horses! It's me!" Octavinyl said to Morning Star as she stopped him. "Relax I'm back. Umm... Try to ignore my current pure white appearance."

"Don't you think I know that? Of course you love her you idiot! Why do you think I blamed myself for it? She saved me, she even tried to save you now! And she loves you, not me! Why would she love somepony like me at all!" he said. "Just-"

 

But he was cut off by Morningstar running out.

Morning star looked at Octavinly."I am sorry I've failed you". Morning star blamed himself for everything that had happen he just wanted to go somewhere and die so that he could be with Octavinly if that was even possible.

"Listen! I'm still alive! Well actually half alive but whatever. That's why I'm in front of you! Okay?" She said to him as she touched his nose with her hoof. "See? I'm alive okay? So calm down Morning Star."

Morning star didn't smile he put his hoof around her and tried to kiss her."I love you so much". Morning star wanted her fully alive but half alive or not he will still have to die because of what he had done.

Octavinyl gave Morning Star a hug, "Well is it okay if I'm entirely pure white? Even my bow turned into pure white. It's like I'm an angel but without the halo." Octavinyl said to Morning Star as she held him.

Morning star looked at her."Octavinyl, do you still love me"? Morning star looked into her eyes which were pure white , it was like he was looking at a ghost but something so much more than a ghost she was like he never encountered in the afterlife.

"Well I guess I can forgive you for trying to kill White Lightning so yes, I still love you." Octavinyl said to him as she closed her eyes. "Well be careful about whatever you do next, I'm still part alive so I can still die." She added. "Well you still owe me that ride in a row boat."

Morning star nodded."Then lets go on a boat ride just you and me". Morning star smiled at her but something didn't seem right she was alive but only partly , he took her hoof and lead her to the boats.

Drenched in sweat of what he had just experienced, he shakily stood up. Limping out of the tent, he looked around for any sign of Morningstar. She was dead, she was dead because of him. Not because of Morningstar.

 

"I should just drink myself to waste or something and leave here.. it's best to leave all of them alone, and rid them of my presence.. he said and walked over to his tent, grabbing a bottle of alcohol he brought just in case he needed it.

Octavinyl blushed and giggled at the same time while Morning Star lead her to the boats. "Oh I've been dying to have a romantic boat ride with you. Wait, does White Lightning know that I'm alive yet?"

Morning star faced hoofed himself." Will he must think your dead, lets go find him before he doe's something foolish". Morning star shot a blot of magic into the sky to tell White Lighting to come and find him.

"I hope he isn't doing anything dangerous." Octavinyl said to Morning Star with much meaning. "We have to hurry up and find him." She added as she flew up in the sky looking around for him. She saw him with a bottle and flew down to him, "White Lightning what are you doing?!"

White Lightning took a sip, not even thinking for one second about his health. Some time later, he had finished half the bottle already, and now he was sitting. in his bed, staring in front of him like he'd seen a ghost.

 

Then, a figure landed outside his tent, calling his name. Turning around, his vision now a bit blurry now that he was intoxictated, he saw a white figure, her face was white, her mane has white, everything white. But then he realised the voice of this pony was a voice he knew.

 

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaait..." he said, shaking his head. "I must be hallucinating, because I can hear dead ponies I should have saved talking!" he continued, letting out a hiccup. He was never good at handling alcohol..and yet he had to drink half the bottle... "Why'd she jump in front of me for anyway? Like she gave a damn about what would happen to me! But she did, and I dunno why!" he rambled, trying to take another sip.

Bumble flew from the woods when Embers shouted something about somepony who was dead being alive. She topped where they stood and looked at the ghostly white image of Octavinyl. It wasn't an image, it was her! "Why are you white," she asked, mentally confused. There was the possibility that she or somepony else had spilled flour over her, but she seriously doubted it.
